‘Naci kept an easy smile pasted onto her face. While the temperature of her mane and tail felt like it was going up, her expression read that she wasn’t in the least riled, nor did she care what the mare had to say to her. “”Hmph?” Such a clever reply.. Is that all yer brain can figure up ter say?” Okay, so that had been a bit obnoxious, but the mare had asked for it that time! Yes indeed she had!
The purple eyes of the other mare had widened just long enough before going to a glare letting ‘Naci know that it had taken a bit to sink in. Ha! So this ‘Nilla wanted to tango? She was game for it. “I don’ care if I find love ye ninny! Lookit me! I’m nae even a year old!” What sort of foal went around looking for love before they were even an adult. Did that argument even make sense with their converstaion? Probably not.
‘Naci just kept her temper as calm as she could. She understood that ‘Nilla just wanted to protect her mother and father, but what she was doing just made ‘Naci want to egg her mother onto the dark stallion moreso than ever. “Yer mam wouldna be worryin’ then if yer dah spoke ter other mares.”
Lovey could hear the back and forth of the two girls, but what she couldn’t hear were the exact words they were saying to each other. Simply that they were volleying words back and forth at a rather rapid pace. “See, if your Milkshake liked the name then it had to have been a good one!” No mother would allow their child to have a name that they didn’t like, or at least most wouldn’t. When he giggled she followed suit, unable not to laugh when there were others around her that had been laughing or were just laughing for the pleasure of it.
Lovey couldn’t understand what it was like to be a parent and not want to be. Since coming to the Soquili lands almost all of the friends she had made were children and if they weren’t children they acted the role to some extent… “I can’t imagine being too busy to play.. It’s about the only thing I do anymore since I spend my time out running around with ‘Naci.” She had slimmed down, but with her news.. Lovey found herself right back up to her old curves.
“Well.. You see Bliss… I’m Pregnant!”

Gosh damnit! That little filly was pushing and pushing and pushing her buttons. Why couldn't she just shut up and accept the fact that 'Nilla didn't like her 'Momma' nor her, for that matter. Remembering something done to her in the past, the small mare lifted up one of her hooves and shoved it in the direction of 'Naci, hoping that if it didn't hurt her, perhaps it would at least scare the annoying little thing from being a brat.
With a mocking sneer, Vanilla Swirl repeated what she just did, although with her other hoof in a different part of the fillies body. "You'll always be weak, little miss. And loveless, your Momma probably doesn't even love you."
That was all she needed to do, as soon as that was over, 'Nilla glanced over at her Daddy and took off running in the opposite direction, hoping that if her kicks did hurt the filly, Bliss wouldn't find out it was her who did it.
And well, surprisingly or not surprisingly, the father of the foolish little mare had no idea what just happened. He was way too focused on Lovey to pay attention to his daughter. Which was odd, because it usually was the other way around. He grinned quickly at his friend, listening to her words.
"Well, I don't know I guess you're right then." Bliss nodded quickly, still unsure of the name he gave his only son. Of course Soqui loved it himself, 'Nilla was fond of it because it fit his personality...Bairn had come up with names so much cooler then a shortened version of their species.
Then a sigh came from the usually happy-go-lucky dark stallion, as he looked at Lovey with slightly annoyed eyes. "My children are grown, they have lives now, which for me still hurts even though I didn't want them, I still love them and cannot stand to be apart from them." Alright, so his words didn't exactly follow her own, but he hated talking about how his only daughter disapproved of her dad.
Bright purple eyes were automatically directed at her stomach, the news still lingering in his ears. Pregnant? He stared at the roundness of her belly, but she didn't look anything like Milkshake once did...even though Bliss did think she was fat. "Wow, Lovey...with...foals? Of...your own?" His voice stuttered over the words, "So you...have a...mate now?"

‘Naci kept a slight smirk on her face while she watched the transparent mare in front of her pout and try to figure out just what precisely to do to make herself the winner. When ‘Naci spotted the subtle shifting of the mare’s body she knew she was likely going to be kicked. The temperature on her mane and tail began to grow more intense, and when the blow finally came, hitting her square in the chest ‘Naci kept her squeal held in check… for now.
Lord did her body hurt now… ‘Naci just continued to stare at the stupid mare, the ground around her hooves was lit with flames now as her temper raged. Should ‘Naci chase after the mare she’d likely end up missing more than a few pieces of hair.
Limping slightly, ‘Naci moved over to her mother and just waited. Although nothing could be done right now to punish the stupid mare… At least her mam could know… “Mam?” Her voice wheezed slightly.. Damned kick to the chest..
Lovey had heard the tone and her ears had begun to p***k back and forth trying to decide who to pay attention to. With the bomb she had just dropped on Bliss, Lovey figured that he’d be the one to pay attention to. Besides that they were holding a pretty interesting conversation.
“Just remember that I’m always right then!” She giggled at that since it was far from ever being true and stomped a hoof into the ground to accent what she said to him. The poor stallion was probably trying to compare to others, but what good would that do? It didn’t change things now.
Lovey couldn’t understand how a daughter could have the nerve to disapprove of her own father. It simply didn’t make any sense to her. “Well.. Now that they’re grown you shall simply have to set out to make a life of your own again. Whether it be with Milkshake, alone, or with another mare… You can just pick yourself up by the hooves or something like that and make things fun.” That worked for most didn’t it?
Bliss’ eyes told the story of what he was going to see well before he said anything… Wait.. ‘Naci wanted something… Bliss first… “Yes… and of course they’re my own, but no.. I don’t have a mate. I’m as single as I ever was.” She had taken a lover and didn’t regret it.. Now her naivety was most distinctly gone, “Are you happily surprised? Or just surprised?” Now for ‘Naci… “What is it dear?”
“The big ole dumb mare kicked me.”

That was bad, she was definitely in for it. Ah, why did she go and kick the poor stupid little filly? That thing could hardly even take care of herself and now she had to deal with a hurt chest. Bright purple eyes watched from behind a tree not too far off and 'Nilla could tell that the little annoying fiery ball was in a lot of pain. Ah...why again? There was no point to why she kicked her, only to get her to shut up. The mare definitely regretted doing so as soon as it happened.
Bliss smiled, unaware just yet of the incident that happened with the two daughters. Like his friend, all the attention that he had was directed towards her, no one else. "Oh, what? Yes, Lovey of course." The tall, dark stallion mumbled quickly still trying to get over her bomb of a surprise.
Pregnant? So Lovey Dovey was tied down, a mother of children that probably wouldn't like her flirting with someone that wasn't their father. The word 'pregnant' didn't sound so bad when Milkshake used it, especially since he had no idea they were his kids and till this day still had trouble believing so.
But Bliss heard her next statement loud and clear and laughed to himself. "That's what Vanilla Swirl wants me to do, since Milkshake or Soqui are never around. She says to go off and return later but I can't. You know me, Lovey I don't want to be alone. I want to have fun with my daughter but she doesn't want to. Ah, Lovey this was all just a big mistake." Now it was the stallion's turn to stomp a hoof in the ground.
Now for the fun part, "Oh. No mate? But you...did you love him? Like me and Milkshake because we're not mates but we're parents together. I...Lovey...I'm surprised, happy for you but...surprised." No where in the friendship manual thing that he always went by did it say that a really good friend of his could go off and be a mother or father of their own.
When the little fillies voice entered his ears, the stallion could only think of one thing. Vanilla Swirl. She was, afterall the most logical answer since she was the only mare around besides Lovey. And of course, she had gotten kicked before by a colt in her younger years so she was likely to do something like that.
"Vanilla Swirl!" His voice raised, in the protective but angry fathery voice that most stallions had. "You get back here young lady and appologize RIGHT now."

‘Naci just felt rather tired. Her chest was hurting and throbbing from the pain of it. Luckily the stupid mare hadn’t truly had the brains to aim and put a lot of force in it or she’d probably be lieing down now unable to breathe. So essentially, she’d be dead. This Bliss stallion had her kudos for making such an idiot for a daughter. Lord her temper certainly wasn’t a sweet one right now. The silver filly’s body was rather decrepit feeling and the blue-flame mane and tail showed it. Both pooled down her body barely moving in the breeze.
Lovey immediately wrapped ‘Naci up under her neck and continued began to console and sniff at her daughter, but finishing up what had to be said to Bliss and wrapping up the conversation were part of an inherent “politeness” she had been raised to believe firmly in.
Her pregnancy would worry most other mares because the father didn’t plan to stick around and be her partner, but for Lovey it was a breath of relief. She didn’t particularly care for the idea of having a baby and a partner that chose to be around her just because of the baby or babies. It’d irritate her.
“True enough.. You never seemed like the type to me that enjoyed being alone.” Keeping her mind on the conversation was rather irritating for the moment for Lovey because of the trembling filly beneath her neck. ‘Naci was over six months old, but still considered small for her age. If something internal were to be wrong.. No. That wouldn’t happen.. Just ignore those thoughts and talk to Bliss. A mistake? Oi.
“No.. Biscuit and I don’t love each other.” She’d have to explain this very carefully or Bliss would have just an awful opinion of her. “Biscuit and I are good friends though and will continue to be. We’re going to raise the little ones together just as friends, you know?” There, that ought to help with understanding the situation.
Finally. Now they both could put their attention onto what had just happened to her baby. Pinning both ears down unhappily Lovey ran a soft nose over the filly’s body. “She feels okay save for trembling, wheezing, and a nasty bruised feeling.” Sure, that didn’t sound fine.. But it was better than the idea of potential death or becoming lame or.. The option were nearly endless.
The authority in the stallions voice was surprising to Lovey, but it made it easier for her not to start calling the mare all sorts of names. Which wouldn’t really help.

Vanilla winced. Her Daddy was mad, or at least however made Bliss could get, that's what he was at the moment. All because she kicked that annoying fireball. An angry Bliss wasn't scary...nor was an angry Milkshake if she ever found out-but it was just the simple fact that they'd get disappointed. Her parents would not approve of what she did, and she was out to prove them something about herself.
So stepping out of her hiding spot, the small mare keep her head down and slwoly crept up to the group. "Sorry filly." She said quietly, not daring to look at either Lovey or 'Naci.
Bliss stared at his friend and his friend's daughter as the little one seemed to be in pain. If Vanilla Swirl was going to pull a stunt like that again, he'd have to leave. A sad moment, but the dark stallion quickly nuzzled Lovey and frowned.
"I terribly sorry about my daughter, she...uh...forgive me, Lovey we have to go. I can't stay here much longer, and I probably won't see you for a while." His voice was quiet so neither 'Naci nor 'Nilla could here. "I hope things work out for you and your...uh...friend and your...uh...children. Maybe I'll try to come visit...." The dark stallion stuttered over his words and then turned to 'Naci.
"Be alright, it's my fault, I'm sorry." And with that, he turned around and directed his daughter in the same way they came. The two walked off together, but not before he was able to steal a glance back at Lovey...
And tried to block out what could be.
