"The world would be one messed up place if the balance was so out of whack." He nodded looking toward the skies. "If things were out of balance, I suppose that the stars up there would be beneath our hooves and the land above our heads."
*Now that gained a chuckle to the thought of everything being upside down and anything else that could be utterly silly. Wings shaking a little at his sides, as a cool breeze passed by. It was strange on such a warm day as it was, he supposed that it came from the higher colder mountains. Letting the coolness wash over his sweat covered body he looked back at Shego.*
"Is it just me, or is it suddenly getting hotter out here?" he asked canting his head to one side a bit. "Because I feel like going for a swim and I know the best place, my father showed me a while ago. The water is always cold and all." He shrugged hoping to change the subject some.

Shego thought for a moment if the world was all revsered and frowned.
"I'm glad things work the way they do..." She nodded and tilted her head up as a breeze passed.
"Oh a swim sounds wonderful, I try and keep near the lake but theres so little shade. This little stream is nice for a drink but for a real swim ice cold water would be heavenly. Lead the way..." She thought to herself how funny it was that she always felt annoyed when another led yet she always chose to follow.
It was just one of those odd quirks in her personality that she liked to follow while disliking those she chose to follow after. Her mind wandered back and forth from matters of importance to the little things like what Andre had mentioned about how important balance was.

*Andre gave a nod as he turning to head down stream a ways, keeping to the shade, knowing that it would be twice as hot out in the plain sun shine. Keeping his wings in close to his body as he walked, he tried not to get anything get stuck between his feathers, they were always a pain to keep clean at times.*
"The icy lake is very refreshing this time of year, Not many know of its existence beside my parents and sister." He stated looking back a little toward Shego, "I'm sure you will like it."
*Looking forward once more he headed toward higher mountainous areas, most the way was straight up with minimal cover from the beating sun about half way up to the lake. While in the open, Andre stretched out his wings a bit, but remained on the ground leading Shego up toward the lake. Once there, it was a change from very hot to mildly warm as the colder climate surrounded them. Pulling back a bit of branches he revealed the lake.*
"Here it is." He smiled speaking over the mouthful of vines. "Ladies first." As always he was partly like his father when with mares, letting them go first...

Shego followed along in the shade her tail flicking back and forth slowly. She kept her mind on the path so she would remember it should the weather continue in it's stifling hot pattern.
"Sounds great, I'm sure I'll love it." She glanced over at him, "You spend a lot of time with your family?"
She headed up behind him as they went higher into the mountains. Shego disliked the way the sun beat down on them as she watched Andre streach his feathers she was thankful she didnt have the extra fluff to heat her up even more.
A sigh of relife escaped her as they came to the warm area and she saw the lake. With a smile she nodded to Andre and slipped past galloping right into the water.

*Andre followed Shego into the large clearing where lake was located. His wings fluffing out as he watched her gallop into icy cold water. He chuckled before charging in after her, but came to rest off to the side up to his chest in the water. Not yet going further.*
"This feels much better then the heat in the lower valley." He sighed "Much better." He muttered more to himself.

Shego splashed and dunked herself beneath the water before coming back up to the lakeshore and giving herself a slight shake off.
"Ohhh much better!" She glanced over at him and eyed his wings curiously.
"If your wings get wet do they weigh you down?" She walked closer to examine them wondering they worked like a ducks oiled wings in the water or like a normal bird.

*Not moving from where he stood, Andre looked toward Shego as she spoke of his wings once more. Weigh him down? Nah, they didn't weigh him down in the water they actually let him float better then other soquili he knew.*
"They help me stay up better then come soquili." He nodded Moving further into the lake to prove it.
*He sunk down for a moment in the icy water, but soon enough he was floating a little higher then others might have. His back was still exposed to the sun, but it wasn't that bad. Swimming about a little he bobbed about a little as he did, looking much like a human's fishing bobber.*
"See? If I was younger they might have made me sink, but now, they help me stay atop the water." He grinned lightly before dunking his head under the water to get his mane wet and to cool off his face that had been gleaming with sweat from the climb. "Now that you know where this lake is, I imagine that you will be here when it's as hot as it is. Huh?"

Shego watched him bob about and thought he did indeed look like a giant odd colored duck. When he dunked his head under and brought it back up her duck theory was complete, now all she might need was for him to let out a quack. Shego stifled a snicker and payed attention to what he was saying.
"I'm sure it comes in handy..." She nodded and moved back and forth in and out of the water to let it chill her.
Her ears perked at his question and she stopped and glanced around.
"Well yes, it's a very beautiful place...secluded and cool." She focused her gaze back on him.
"Unless of course you would rather I didnt?" She remembered him mentioning something about him and his family near the spot and wondered if he would feel intruded upon if she made the lake a more frequent stop on hot days.

*He had attempted to dive under the water to keep his coat wet enough to keep the heat away for a while. Coming back to the surface he looked over toward Shego as she seemed well content on staying about the lake. Though the question about him not wanting her about the lake, to that he had to shrug.*
"It's a lake. It's open for everyone to enjoy." He stated fanning out his wings a little. "Besides, not many come up here, they think it is too far to walk." At that he had to chuckle as he fanned out his wings atop the water. "I tend to fly up here, much quicker." He smiled. "NOt that there's anything wrong with walking." He added quickly as to not sound like he was degrading those with out wings.

Shego nodded and moved back into the water to dunk herself again giving her mane a shake to one side she stood on the lakeshore dripping but content.
"Some people are defensive of their...secret spots..." she shrugged.
Shego smiled and eyed his wings.
"I'm sure they make things much more convenient...hard to reach places and such...though isn't flying just as tiring as walking would be?"
Shego figured depsite the size and power of his wings there had to be some effort to flying flying had to be akin to galloping, a little harder but faster in the end.

*Andre gave a shrug as he pulled himself from the cold water and shook off at the shore line. his lone multicolored mane dragging against his wet coat. His wings unfolded to beat the water off his wings, though there was still a shine upon them from the water that refused to let go.*
"This really isn't that big of a secret, many just don't come here.' He shrugged walking over to the shade of a couple of trees to roll onto his back a little, only to lay there with a messed up mane and grass long his back and wings. "But yea, flying does cause strain on the muscles and tires one out after time." He agreed looking at his wings. "I'm not as strong as my father, he can fly longer and further then I can at the moment."

Shego splashed back into the water soaking herself again and enjoying the icy bite it was better then the sweltering heat. How odd that when it was freezing cold she would want to be hot again or at least warm and when it was hot she wanted to be icy cold. Better to have things just right sadly mother nature seemed to disagree with her desires.
"It takes practice I'm sure your father being older has probably had more practice and so his muscles are used to longer flight..." She trotted out of the water and shook off stamping her hooves and slowly relaxing.
"I'm surprised more don't come here it's so peacefull...I'm always looking out for quiet spots guess I didnt think there would be one nestled up in the mountains." She shrugged and flicked her tail out letting the cold water slowly dry and evaporate from her dark coat.

"That I have no doubt of." He nodded in agreement that his father had more practice at flying and was muck more used to it.
*Andre had stretched out upon the ground letting the water just sink into his skin, not even bothering to get back up when the heat seemed to pound against his body again. It was just right for the moment as a small shiver went through his body from the sudden temperature change. Looking up at Shego he watched her splash back into the icy lake. His eyes closing he sighed using a wing to cover his head from the heat.*
"I'm sure others are more occupied just staring at each other to even notice the heat. That or finding their one true loves." He shrugged gently. "Either one, me I have love in mind, but I don't know if she knows it really. I'll have to find her again." He smiled beneath his wing.
