Im A Little Pea
I'm afraid there's a mix-up.
It's roughly divided in two types of standards:
Health profile (physical AND mental health): how healthy you are. The profile could either be 21 (inadequate, released from service), 24 (temporarily inadequate), 31 (special profile for people who got profile 21 but chose to volunteer), 35, 45, 64 (adequate only for service in combat support units), 72, 77, 82, 97 (adequate for serving in a combat unit). There's no profile 85 or things like that, and those are the only profile numbers out there (as of right now).
"Quality group" ("kaba"): determined by how well you did in the psycho-technical test, your education, your understanding of Hebrew and their impression of you after you've been interviewed (only boys are interviewed. During the interview, the interviewer is trying to predict your ability to adjust to the system and conditions). "Kaba" (acronym for Kvutzat eichut, quality group) scores 41-42 mean you're inadequate for army service, and it's quite rare. If your "kaba" score is 52+, you could be an officer and the Air Force & Intelligence Corps are going to give you some interesting suggestions.
"Olim" (new immigrants) who don't speak Hebrew very well will go through their recruit training ("tironut") in a camp called Michva Alon in the northern part of the country (near Karmiel, if the name means anything to you), where their special needs as newcomers are being taken care of. By the way, I have a former classmate and a best friend who are commanders at this base and I got to visit it once - it's a great place, and you'd be lucky to have those girls with you if you happen to join the army this year.
If you have any more questions about this, and IDF in general, I'd be glad to help you out. I'm going back to the base tomorrow and I might only get out at the 29th, but I hope it will be worth your while. smile

I guess I got the picture completely wrong then... sweatdrop Thanks for the info!
Though as I recall, I've heard of people with profiles other than you mentioned, how is that possible?
