Hitomi shot up, head raised proudly. She didn't have a single word in mind, but her regal look tried to made it appear that she wouldn't lower herself to explain. She looked down, still flushed, and cleared her throat.
When Hitomi's head raised again, she walked to catch up with Hakim, and this time, watched where she was going.

Finally, he couldn't take it any longer. He turned his head slightly to look at her better. "Why are you following me?" He asked calmly. No hint of rudeness at all. It sounded more like he was just curious. He was watching where he was going, and looking at her. It's the skill he picked up when talking to his voice.
"I don't suppose you think I'm that interesting." He stopped walking this time and sat down. So he couldn't get rid of her the easy way. Maybe she just wanted to chat. This was the most he said since she had said something back at the tree.

"Oh, but I'm entrhalled!" Hitomi said, her head tilted to the side and a small grin creeping across her face. "I still want to know who it was that you were talking to back at the tree.....I'm very curious", she finished adding emphasis on the 'very' in an attempt to illustrate that she truly was.
After all, if he had been talking to someone, why had thier conversation ended so abrublty? Or was he just talking to himself.....?

Hakim decided he'd just would lie, he wasn't about to tell her the truth. Even if he did, she wouldn't believe him. "I was talking to a flea on my back." He closed his eyes and sat there for a moment. He knew that wouldn't fly with her, but it's better then saying he was talking to himself. Or worse, the tree he had been sitting in front of.
"Why where you listening anyways? It was a private conversation." He paused. "If I wanted anyone to hear it, I would have talked openly infront of others." He added. It was quiet simple, she was getting into his business, and if she dug too much more, he'd have no option but tell her the truth. Then, she would be the only other one that knew. Though, by the looks of her, she seemed like she'd blab her mouth.

Hitomi stared at him with an almost disturbed look on her face. ".....Liar." It was all she said, but she knew when she was being led on. Really, the only interaction she could think of between a ulaya and a flea would be trying to get rid of it, and he hadn't moved at all, almost as if he was paralyzed standing.
"I was listening because I have ears....Simple really." Hitomi continued, her head tilting slightly to show a mood very hard to describe.

"How would you know? You were the one who asked me who I was talking to." He said to her. "You would have no other reason, but to believe me since you weren't there for the whole thing, and you couldn't hear who I was talking to." He added simply. His voice had a very quiet calm to it. No hints of irritation or any emotion at all. His face was just as blank as his voice seemed to be.
"Unless, of course, you can hear a flea several feet away then on your back." He said adding a smirk to his comment, tough his eyes looked blank.

Hitomi chortled, "You really think I'm going to buy into your little story." She squinted her eyes and looked his face over. Nothing. Not angry, not upset, what was with this guy?
She then lifted her head to the sky and sighed. She was getting nowhere in trying to get to know this, she sighed again, ".....Hakim....."

"Well, it's up to you if you want to buy into my story or not. Even if you believe it, there is no telling if I was telling the truth or not." He gave her a rather fake smile, though it was hard to tell if it was fake or not. "So, believe it or not, I could care less. "
"Yes?" he asked as she said his name. He kind of figured she might get a bit irritated with him or something, though he was very different from most other Ulaya males. He had a inner self that he was trying to keep from everyone, but some how it always popped out when he didn't want it to. Or someone would be listening to him when he didn't know. It was rather hard to keep it from others when this happened. His short tail twitched a little, his eyes completely on her. He had stopped walking a while ago without even really realizing it.

She stared at him from under her golden locks. "Are you sure there isn't some other explination....?" She asked. Hitomi was longing to know why he acted so strange, no longer a matter of curiosity about who he was talking to, but about Hakim himself.

Well, it wouldn't hurt to tell her. She seemed to walk right into his conversation with his inner self, and she most likely wouldn't believe him anyways. He sighed. "Fine, if you really want to know why I was talking and you couldn't hear the other voice." He paused.
"It was because I was talking to a beast within my own mind. A thing that makes me the way I am, yet not the way I am suppose to be." He said simply. He closed his eyes and waited for her answer. His voice was still calm as ever. Slight annoyance was shown on his face, but only a slight trace of it. "But you wouldn't believe that either."

"Well.....I think everyone talks to themselves at times, but you're lucky because you have someone to respond....Well, that's what I think anyway." Hitomi said, smiling over her shoulder. She then regained a straight face and walked off a way to sit and fret over her appearance.

He raised an eye brow at her. Sure she was laughing in her head of course. He wanted to say more but he just watched her walk off and sat somewhere else. " Not when the voice would rather much tare your face a new hole." he said calmly. His golden green eyes fixed on her.

Hitomi didn't move at his words. If he wanted to keep playing the suffering silently card, then let him. Her head tilted backwards with a large yawn and and looked at the sky through the wide leaves of the trees above.

He shrugged at her. He gave her another fake smile and stood up. "Like I said, You wouldn't believe it." He bowed to her and started to continue walking the way he came. He really didn't care anymore, she could believe what she wanted. His tail fluff twitched a little. His ears were back and relaxed.

Hitomi promptly stood after Hakim did, and followed him, waiting for him to lead the two of them out of the dense shade. She didn't look at him as intensly as before, either not caring or thinking of something else, but instead she seemed to be paying attention to details in the trees that passed, as though making sure she did not see the same one twice. She tilted her head in Hakim's direction, but went back to the trees.
