Yi nodded. "that should do. Its polite and thats good. Showing respect...tho not somthing i do, thats good for you to do....yeah taht should work." She smiled. "behind that weak little shell your almost a perfect stallion. Well, a perfect, non agressive stallion." she shook her head lightly. "if my brother ever challanged you, you'd be dead...so would that be if alot of stallions challanged you. Perhaps i should find somone to teach you some fighting so you won't get your butt kicked." She said lightly, in thought. "Yes...that would be good. I'm no fighter, but somone else might...i'll have to see." she shook her head. "anyway...lets see, what else..."

Tahmores flicked an ear at Yi's comments. They didn't sting now that he did know that he was weaker than the other stallions in the herd. He even agreed with her silently that he did need to grow a bigger backbone if he did want to become her mate one day and rule the herd by her side. Shaking his mane to the other side of his neck, he waited for Yi's next instructions patiently.

"Well honestly i'm not sure what else..." She said. "Ah, a little somthing. You will have to have a little slave at some point in time, helpful, they are. How would you speak to one? It is vary importent that you do it correctly. There are good ways and bad ways to behave to a slave. So how would you speak to one. Keep in mind your tone, posture, eye contact, and words." Yi said calmly. SHe didn't want him to undo what she had been trying to work up with how she treated her personal slave, and any slave she came across as it were, because he was to kind or to harsh. Tho she knew the latter was unlikely.

Tahmores canted his head to one side. He only interacted with Yi's slave a few times, but he had avoided her at all costs. Shuddering his wings slightly, he began to think of a good way to speak to a slave. It couldn't be too harsh, nor too kind. A little bit in between those would probably be good. He stiffened his posture slightly, letting his wings spread out from his body about a foot as he gazed down at where a tiny foal slave would be, his eyes slightly soft. "Would you kindly help me find my favorite river? I seemed to have gotten lost," he said to the invisible foal, his voice steady, yet slightly firm at the same time. He hoped that he had gotten that right.

Yi let out a sigh, but it wasn't a good one. "No, no no no no WRONG!" She shook her head. "Tahmores, you have to think of who you are talking to. Not some herd member, or even an outside jala, your talking to a worthless nequus. Now, you need to be kind but firm. your gaze was perfect, showing that your not going to eat them for breakfast, and the postuer is not bad...But..." she sighed. "All wrong. the stiffness makes you look afried, as does the puffed wings. You have to be relaxed and exert a natural power." She demonstrated. She held her head high, but was loose and relaxed. Her wings were tiled up but were closed, making her seem taller, not bigger. "Like this." She said, tilting her head slightly to a side. "Understand? And your words...Dear Jala..." She sighed. He had done so well so far.
She moved up beside him and lightled lifteda wing, setting it on his back, moving her head to rest against his neck. "Tahmores, you spoke as if the slave was an equal to the herd...You were to lax in your wording..." she said.
Being near him calmed her and she moved away, resuming the posture she wanted him to use. "WHen you speak, never admit to being lost. Not even to a herd member. If you are you simply say "I am in need of an escort to..." and then whereever you need to go. If your going to have power, you can't get lost in your own herd grounds...But for a slave it is diffrent. The firm steady voice was good, but it needs to be a little...looser...relaxed. That way it doesn't seem like your forcing it...Think about who your talking to and try it again, with the posture i showed you." she said.

Tahmores nodded his head stiffly, not seeming to get this part of the lesson. He knew that sooner or later he was going to have to experience being around slaves, but his uneasiness around them made this the most difficult part of the training. It made him think that he would never get this part down to a good level that Yi was going to happy at. ‘Maybe I should give up,’ he thought to himself. ‘Never give up,’ said a tiny voice in the back of his mind.
Tahmores wanted to ignore that voice, but it was too difficult to. ‘Don’t you want her as your mate?’ said the tiny voice in a taunting manner. Of course he did. He didn’t want to be a fool around her whenever they went out amongst the other herd Jala. ‘Then gather your courage and do what she wants you to. Isn’t that too much to ask?’ Tahmores canted his head to one side. That wasn’t too much she was asking for, but at the same time hearing it in his head seemed simpler than doing it in real life. ‘I just gotta try harder,’ he thought to himself as he prepared himself to try that part of the lesson again.
Putting himself in the posture that Yi had shown him just a few minutes ago, he stared down at a small spot on the ground with the same expression he had on before and he let a small smile show on his maw. “Slave, I am in need for an escort to the edge of the lands,” he said in a calm, even-toned voice to an invisible slave Nequus.

Yi relaxed a bit. "Better. Not perfect...not by far, but better." She smiled a bit before she laughed a little. "You don't HAVE to say slave...it sounds weird coming from you. You can call them little ones or whatever you wish, if you don't know their names...And you need a bit more work on wording...You need to make it sound natural for you. Hmm...try somthing like, "Good afternoon young one. I find myself in need of a companion on my way to the edge of the herd lands."" She paused and shook her head. "No...that would sound weird coming from you as well..." she sighed. "Mabye we should just get you your own slave so you don't have to worry about being lost....That might just be easier." she sighed. "Well, try again. Don't use any wording i have said...just...relax and be yourself...well, a more regal yourself...."

'Be myself but a regal one? That sounds harder than it should, but it couldn’t hurt to try. I’m not sure if this sort of stuff is going to become second nature to me. It obviously it to Yi, but that’s because she has grown up around slaves all her life. I am just beginning to learn the ways of this herd. Was it wise of me to come here?’ he thought to himself. He shook his head slightly, making it not obvious for Yi to see it. ‘I have to do this-for Yi’s sake. I’m sure that she wouldn’t be happy if she thought that she was doing all of this for nothing.’
‘Let’s try this again. I was on the right track it seems like, but it looks like Yi wasn’t pleased with my attempt. Gotta make her happy,’ he thought to himself before taking position again. Instead of staring down at the ground, he stared towards the entrance of the room that they were currently in. “Little one, i find myself in need of a companion to walk with me to the lake.” He didn’t dare look at Yi for fear of the look on her face.

Yi smiled and nodded, pleased. "That sounds better...Tho a slave they may be, it just sounds weird coming from you. Little one will work for now. And...well you need work still on your sentence...Its ok but you really need perfect. But lets take a break from that for a moment. Now i want you to show me how you'd ask a slave their name." she moved till she was in front of Tahmores. "And i want you to look at me. Pretend...." she paused, shaking her head to ignore the slightly sick feeling that came with the mere thought of the next sentence. "Pretend i'm a little slave and ask me what my name is." She didn't feel like waiting for Irada, who could be doing any number of things and possible out of reach. Besides, she was teaching him and it wouldn't hurt to help him out.....right?

Tahmores relaxed slightlty when he heard a slight praise from Yi. She was pleased with that part of the lesson. But he knew that it was going to get even harder for the rest of the day. He ruffled his wings slightly when she picked out that he needed to work on his sentencing. He wasn't getting used to it and pretending a slave was in front of him wasn't working either. It wasn't until Yi moved in front of him that he realized that things got tougher. He stared at her curiously for a few moments, unable to say or do anything. Him talk to her like a slave? But she was the heir and his future mate! He couldn't do a thing like that to her, despite her instructing him to do so. He ruffled his wings a bit more, getting more nervous than before. "But..." he started to protest, but he gave up.
Gathering his courage up, he took a deep breath and got into his stance again. "Little one, may I inquire as to what your name is?" he asked, canting his head slightly as he asked the question.

Yi resisted the urge to kick the stallion. Not for his sentence, there was few things wrong with that, but for the fact that he had obviously not wanted to do that and instead of sticking up he just resigned to his fate. "WRONG!" she snapped. "And not even because of what you said or how you said it. Dammit Tahmores, be brave for Jala's sake! I won't kill you for protesting! You want to be my equal, not my underling! To be my equal you have stick up for yourself. Question me if you wish, so long as we arn't in public its fine!! You HAVE to question....you have to stick up for yourself Tahmores..." she sighed. Stopping her rant she turned away. "That was fine, though don't ask if its ok. No "may I". You have every right." she shook her head.

He winced at her angred comments. He wanted to crawl into a corner and die there alone. Why did he had to choose her to become his mate? Why didn’t he wait and find the perfect mare for his mate? Was it because at that time he thought that she was the only one perfect enough for him? Was it her ‘fake’ sweetness that she showed him when he ran into both her and her brother? He didn’t want to know the answer to that question.
He lowered his head down slightly as she turned away from him. He was never the bravest Jala or the wisest. He didn’t figure he needed courage to get through life. He had managed to dodge everything thrown at him until right now. Slowly, he took a few timid steps away from Yi to let her cool off a little bit. Maybe he could try and delve a little deeper into himself to try and find some undiscovered courage he had hidden away.

"If you can't be serious about this Tahmores, if you can't do it then you have to leave. You have to figure out right now, can you do this." she turned and looked back at him, speeking cooly. "You have to deside...Can you do it? Tahmores....this is gonna be harsh but i can't waste my time trying to fix you up into being the perfect king if you will never become it....Your dragging me down....I've wasted so much time as it is with you, i have duities....i have a herd i need to learn to control..I can never be Queen if i'm dealing with just you....So do you want, really want, me, this responsablilty, the hardship....or do you want to leave now and go off, find some other mare." She looked at him evenly. "I can't...keep dealing with this.....and there is no reason to push this onto you if you can't deal with it. Its just wasting both out times."

Tahmores listened carefully to what Yi had to say. He remained silent for a few tense minutes, not really sure of what to say. Sure he didn't want her lessons to be put to waste because of his lack of personality, but at the same time was he really ready to be put into the shoes of a Matriarch beside Yi who was destined to be Queen soon?
"I...just need sometime to think...and some fresh air, too," he said to er before slowly walking out of the small den he was in. He knew his way out of the cave that way, but for the other little dens he had no idea the tunnels. Soon he was outside and he blinked his eyes at the bright light that engulfed him. Sighing, he stuck near the entrance of the cave, not really sure of Yi would follow him. To his dismay, another person would meet up with him very soon.
[and this will be TBC in my little self-RP which will be up shortly in Tahmores' tree journal. If you want me to start the next RP after I post my self-RP I will be glad to do so]

Yi sighed softly. "Fine then. You can come find me when you've desided." She said evenly. She followed him out but soon took to the sky, Irada appering seemingly outta no where and taking off after her mistress. "Tahmores...If you deside against all of this...then leave the lands. Don't let me see your face ever again...If you deside....that you can deal with this, and help me...then come find me." She called back as she flew off to go for a walk.
(Yeah, sure)
