For Finn-att Sokk-att/Itztlac:

Places:

Itztlac's Rooms

Bare, except for a pile of blankets that Finn sleeps on.

Finn's World

Like all worlds, Finn's home is under the influence of Destruction. He knows little of the world that lies over the seas, beyond the continent populated almost exclusively by centaurs, which bears some resemblance to Australia.

NPCs:

Tiss-arr Fovv

Shaman of the Lightbearer's Herd, Tiss-arr also served the smaller Sunlord's Herd. Though he continues to do so to all appearances, he has in fact become a worshipper of Destruction.

Kann-att Jurr-att

Chief of the Lightbearer's Herd, and Finn's best friend.

Sokk-att Kagg

Finn's father, former chief of the Sunlord's Herd. Deceased.

Savv-itt Yann

Finn's mother, Sokk-att's first wife. Deceased.

Nakk-itt Hann

Finn's first wife, who was kidnapped by Skorr-att Kutt-att.

Datt Parr

Finn's second wife.

Jakk Finn-att

Son of Finn-att and Nakk-itt.

Lavv Finn-att

Daughter of Finn-att and Nakk-itt.

Kerr Finn-att

Daughter of Finn-att and Datt Parr

Skorr-att Kutt-att

Chief of the Starspinner's Herd, and Finn's arch-rival.

Hojj-att Sikk-arr

Chief of the Destroyer's Herd, ally of Skorr-att.

Tilion/Idhren:

Locations:

The Library
I leave the full description of the Library up to Xiao, as it happens to be Gianfar's area, but Idhren has claimed a small study alcove as her own, and has made it into a comfortable, if small and cramped, home.

Idhren's World
This will link to a thread once I get my act together and actually describe it. Suffice to say, it's really complicated.

NPC's/People of Note:

Cynthia
Cynthia is a Chime Spirit, a wandering soul attracted to the sound of a set of crystal chimes Idhren picked up on a rare excursion outside the Pantheon. Flirty and outgoing, she's annoyed by Idhren's lack of interest in the outside world. Intrigued by Tilion, it's likely that she'll find the god more to her liking than the host.

.x.

Temis
Temis is an Aoide, one of the by now infamous catgirls. Tilion has no memory of her serving him prior to the Fading, but as he can't remember much, it's unknown if her claim to have done so is truth. regardless, she is devoted to her God, although quite a bit less enthused about his choice of host.

.x.

Ithiltari
Ithiltari was the Head of the History Department that Idhren was a Professor in. The two were close friends, even though Ithi spent more time away from the School than in it. She disappeared a few years ago, and her disappearance is often regarded as the first of the changes for the worst that have since plagued the School, eventually leading to Idhren's own flight from her home. Idhren originally went seeking for her lost friend, and still wishes to find where she wound up. Ithiltari now goes by the name of Jerava - my avatar OC who happens to be dating? Thabara's OC Sesostris, who arranged for Aislin to get Nergal's gem.

.x./.x.

This is more information than I have in Tilion's journal. I am so pathetic.

Khiviance

Locations

Khiviance's Rooms, the Pantheon
Khiviance's room(s) in the Pantheon are simple, much like a real apartment. She ahs not shaped them into anything large, but still lavish nonetheless. It is currently one sole room, with a bed opposite the door almost, a large bath in the far corner form the bed, some windows, a table and chais, a dresser, and desk. Currently only her Aoide is residing there.

Khiviance's Room, Morpheus' house
Her room at Morpehus' place is simple and functional, getting her by with her needs as she dwells on the situation she's in. Her current 'residence' for now, as she avoids the Pantheon.

Mintaka's House
The house Mintaka Khariel resides in that Khiviance visits is in the Dream world, and is a two-floor house with several rooms to house all the people living there. Khiviance does not visit often in her current voiceless state, but she does remember where it's at. She hasn't forgotten something she'd like to do there...

Rahviel's Place
A second haven from the Pantheon currently, where she frequently visits her 'mortal lover'. Located within the city that the Pantheon resides in.

NPCs

Mintaka Khariel
Johnathan's former lover, and the one who's helped establish Khiviance in the world financially somewhat. She and Khiviance get along enough to be tolerable, but the exact nature of the relationship is unknown at this time; Khiviance has some potential 'plans' with her, but nothing solid.

Amethyste
A girl Khiviance has met and vowed to help with her love troubles.

Rahviel
A mortal that Khiviance met through helping Amethyste, she's fallen head over heels for him somewhat. A friend fo Tehran and Amethyste.

Tehran
Amethyste's ex-boyfriend, whom Khiviance is after to try to either get back with her, or to at least tell her it's actually voer and they're ex's rather then leading her on without a break-off.

Hannah Osaka
A past love of Johnathan's life, before he met Mintaka. She used and hurt him, putting him off fomr love for many, many years. A sharp, painful memory for him, which Khiviance has used against him.

Seduce, Aoide to Khiviance
Seduce is Khiviance's primary aoide, one fo the survivors from the Fading who has sought her out and helped her. He takes care of her things at the Pantheon in her absence. He's usually at least half-drunk, but thankfully lacks a majority of Khiviance's lustful, love-whoring ways.

Calico

Locations

Calico's Rooms, the Pantheon
Calico's main residence, she's still elaborating and working on it. Being as she has company residing with her other then her Aoide, she is caught between completely disregarding reality and keeping it somewhat normal. Also balancing the nature of the room is her host's presence, which keeps the rooms in some semblance of normalcy. A main room with table & chairs, and a bed, with assorted fowers and cacti, and a bathing room are her only places so far established.

'The World'
This is a reference to a place only the insane or those Khiviance gives access to can enter; the anture fo which ahs not been defined, but it is a place where the normal rules of reality need not apply except when the insane person wishes it so. A place which makes no sense and a lot of sense all at once.

The Park
A park which Calico returns to on and off, and where Mintaka was arrested before being locked into an insane asylum.

The Asylum
Also known as 'the Place' - Calico's dreaded, most feared place. The insane asylum is located just outside of the city, fenced in well and secluded to prevent break-outs...

NPCs

Mintaka Khariel
The 'real' Mintaka, from which Calico's host was broken off from. Calico sees her as a sister, and tends to defer to her for advice on some matters, and tries to maintain a closeness with her and not lose contact. Also Calico's financial support for the moment.

Delusion, Aoide to Calico
Delusion was an Aoide pre-fading, who sealed herself away when Calico fell. While she is somewhat favored of Lunara's presence, she serves all three loyally, and helps in maintaining some 'order' in the chaotic presence of Calico - or at least in maintaining it so no one gets hurt in her place.

Xuan Yi

Locations

Kheviel Nightfeather's House
The house of the host, a 2 floor mansion with sprawling basement as well. Luxurious and comfortable, maintained to look quite normal and hide quite a few secrets. Where the fusing took place, and where Kheviel & Xuan train in getting used to control of the body and switching contorl, among other things. In one of the posh bneighborhoods of Durem.

Kheviel's Homeworld
A world which would be somewhere between medieval times and the rennaisance of earth, filled with things people would consider mythical. A dark, war-torn world filled with chaos and trouble.

NPCs

Hairya Everdark
An assassin of repute, and Kheviel's "rival" - someone Kheviel despited and ahted for his bloodthirsty and reckless ways to begin with, and turned more personal when he tortured and killed Sarentia. Killed by Kheviel, and disposed of in many pieces across the countryside by a 'friend' of Kheviel's.

Sarentia
Sarentia was a priestess from Kheviel's homeworld who came with him into this new world. Evne though she was a priestess to a god fo balance, they were close friends and kept each other safe. In truth there was something more to the relationship that neither would admit publicly, but it wasn't ahrd to realize the closeness as lovers the two shared. Was killed by Kairya Everdark.

Eirnae Slytherin-Natenhar

PostPosted: Tue Nov 27, 2007 11:32 pm

Eirnae/Melanctha

Locations (In the order revealed according to Eirnae/Melanctha):

Elvanna Forest
Eirnae's first home was a vast forest surrounded by the highest known mountains of her world, called the SkyShorn Mountains. Many a fond memory for the shadowdancer originates there. Her parents are Elvanna Rangers, and they patrolled the edges of that forest with their wagon serving as their home while Eirnae was growing up.

Rose Cottage
This in a pocket dimension and is a perfect copy of the original Eirnae's creation, also called Rose Cottage because of its well loved rose garden that creeps up the sides of the cottage's outer walls. It's in the middle of an ever blooming forest of cherry blossom trees.

Crumbling Underground Ruins
The location of Shadow's original temple, and where the first Maze was constructed to test her Chosen. Melanctha took Lonan there when he was recovering from one of his purges, and it is also where her shadow children joined in her new life, escaping the insanity of the other shadows trapped in the Maze.

Temple of Whispers
There is a mountain range, far from the Edelsteine shop, with peaks so high many claim they touch the clouds themselves. For reasons lost to history, these are known as the Soul Shard Mountains. Hidden away within these mountains is a place rumored to provide shelter to the spiritually lost, the hopeless, and the weary. Most who have gone to seek this sanctuary have not returned, but those who do speak of the wonders of the Sisters. Some who have come back report that the rumors are obviously a blatant lie, as their journey revealed nothing of note.

What they likely do not realize is that the wards of the temple have remained active due to the faith of those within being just strong enough to fuel its protective magic. Those who approach the temple and are a threat to either the temple itself or those who live within its walls will see nothing but the natural scenery. The boulders that line the path leading up to the temple proper are positioned to feel as well as appear to be a precarious outcropping if the ward's effects come into play.

Those who are deemed worthy of knowing the mountains' secret see the following upon reaching the crossroads ...

The mountain seems to melt away. What was once but craggy stone reveals two impossibly tall statues, both female. They face one another, their arms upraised with their fingers interweaving. The one on the right wears no clothing to speak of beyond a mask, one that is featureless save for the oval eye slits. Long hair tumbles unbound behind her, coils of it curling about her though without hiding any of her feminine charms. The other seems wilder, her hair equally as long and carved to look as though tossed by a maelstrom. Her face seems kind but fierce, an odd combination, and numerous bits of cloth or perhaps silk, who can tell when they are of stone, swirl about her, covering her but hinting at the womanly curves they cling to. They frame the tall and wide entrance to a building that is nearly as majestic as they. Carved into the mountain itself, and seeming to go on even past the statues' heads, it appears solid and yet honeycombed in the same glance.

What areas are in existence:

"Chamber of Faces" - Named for the numerous statues and impressions in the walls that honor those of the pantheon as well as the dragon kings. Those who worship the Sisters are bid to pay proper respect to those given homage here in marble and dark woods. The smell of incense burned during rituals often clings to the air within. This also the largest room of the temple, and that which visitors first see upon entering.

"Petitioner's Arch" - This is a room at the end of the main hall, and it isn't nearly as large as it appears to be. The domed ceiling lends to this illusion of space, with the room itself being a half circle. There is no door, only an open archway wide enough for one person to enter at a time. Inside is but a marble shelf between two statues similar to those framing the entrance of the temple, though these are much smaller.

"Dining Hall" - A long, wide rectangular room with wooden benches and tables. Think "cafeteria" and you'll be close. The kitchen is linked to this room.

"Chamber of Trials" - None have seen the actual inside of this room in centuries, for as long as the keepers of the temple can remember the doors have never been opened.

"Bedrooms" - Of which there are a lot, many yet unclaimed. Shadow, Wind, and Archery have designated rooms that are larger than the rest, but the Weaver rarely stays in one room for very long, leaving hers mostly unadorned and empty but for her bed with its black silk sheets and Laele's dark wood perch.

"Garden of Twilight"
- This is a portion of the temple gardens, off to the left of the temple itself. It is divided into portions. One is lush and green, with trimmed down bushes and tall weeping willows with low hung branches heavy with their leaves. Statues that are marble, ancient, and many of them broken though there are no pieces upon the grassy earth, dot the pathways that wind through the plants. The other section has desert landscaping, and is always shaded and cool. The flowers of this part of the garden cannot be seen during the day, as only Melanctha's favorite blossom is encouraged to grow here, that of the night-blooming cereus. These bloom for but one hour during the night, then fold up and blend impressively well upon the cacti that rise above the garden's pale blue, violet, and ash colored sands. Normally they would die, for their brethren bloom for but one midsummer's night each year, yet these seem special amongst their kind.

(The temple is a work in progress, so more will be added as they are RPed into being. There is yet hope of getting a layout made, one day.)

Summerfell
The village at the foot of the Soul Shard Mountains. It's a small community, and has a central marketplace. Very rustic.

Shadow Plane
The Weaver and her brother's realm is a plane separate to Gaia and yet not. Like its creators, the Plane of Shadow needs a source to imitate and feed from to exist. Its expanse usually is a monochromatic and somewhat blurry copy of Gaia's lands, though such shift about randomly enough to render making a map useless, but recent developments have ended this mimicry.

At its center is the Weave, a currently wild spread of black energy spun into threads that have latched themselves to both ground and sky, though how they managed to attach to the latter is something only the Weaver could know. This is Shadow's treasure trove of emotions, though it is far more than just that. More on that later as that part of the story develops.

There are folk that live in this plane, and several are not shadows. These however are in great peril since the Voice took over the plane's keeping. Quite a few settlements have been swallowed up by the Voice's "need" for reinforcements, with still more individuals being taken over as times goes by.

NPCs/People of Note (Alphabetical):

Adrian
An elven pyromancer with long red hair who's lithe, has a tendency to be protective of a certain goddess, and happens to be handsome in the bishy sort of way that makes that same goddess purr.

Melanctha is still getting to know this young man, but things seem positive thus far.

-X-

Alimus
This shadow Eirnae summoned to her side many years ago, and he's been with her ever since. He was once but that, a shadow, but over time he's become something more. He is, and will ever be, a shifter. His usual form is that of a sleek and muscular jaguar with a soft fur coat that constantly shifts between shades of gray and black. It's this fur color as well as his soulful coal black eyes that are his unchanging traits. An example of this would be if he ever chose to imitate Eirnae's form, as his eyes would remain black voids instead of turning sea green at the irises and his skin would be a dark gray with twin lines of black spots running from just under each ear all the way down his sides to his ankles.

His relationship with the Weaver is nearly the same as the one he maintained with Eirnae, though such is likely due to Eirnae still not yet being removed from the equation. He is her friend and protector, and out of respect for Eirnae's wishes, Shadow does not seek to be physical with him.

-X-

Angel
Not yet in continuity...

-X-

Calum
This young were-cat from another world is a fun loving, death defying, laugh inducing, hip flask wearing Irish fool. Oh, and he plays a mean tin pipe. This "Kitten", as Shadow's taken to calling him, has inspired Initiates of the Weaver to try and top his feats of agility and tenacity with a series of contests. The "Shadow's Song Games" are still in development but gaining in popularity.

Befreckled, a bit addled, and with hair that reminds of a bonfire at midnight, Calum's a wild child that Shadow's taken under her wing. Already he's proven to be loyal to a fault, recently passing his first trial and earning the right to wear the half mask that comes with the title of acolyte.

-X-

Ciaran
Once a man, then a cat, now something in between. Behold Wind's Chosen, the were-panther that prowls in his large feline form during the day, but transforms into a furry humanoid when night falls. He need not shift, for the altering of his form is optional, though such is not the case as long as the sun is in the sky. He has a history with Shade, Shadow's Chosen, and the goddess herself that spans centuries. Ciaran possessed a hatred for the Weaver that's dimmed over time to be a strong resentment. Shade is his, as far as he's concerned, and though Shadow has indeed changed since her rebirth, he doesn't trust her. She is, after all, the source of his curse and the reason that Shade's memory is wiped of anything that pertains to Ciaran's anthropomorphic form upon every sunrise.

Ciaran is whom the temple cats call the "Elder". He is the first of the cats that came to reside at the temple, and has fathered a race of felines that's slowly adapted over the generations to be something between a were and a large house cat. The "Blessed Ones" are those who bear similar markings as the Elder, and can shift as he does. Such matings were during the period of Ciaran's extended lifespan when his memory of his years as a human faded and the cat took over. He remained true to his original purpose mostly through the curse keeping him tied to Shade. So much so that even though he didn't know why, he always slept against the wall of the sealed chamber that Shade was stored within.

This is a beast whose muscle tone can cause envy, and yet he's not overly bulky. Sleek yet powerful, he prowls the grounds of the Temple of Whispers, bound by his promises to Wind and his love for Shade to protect that bastion of the Sisters. His fur is a deep black with dark chocolate brown spots that only show when the light hits him just so. Pale gray and bright silver markings are slashed just below the tip of his tail and continue on for a few inches. About his forearms are more of the same, and intricate designs swirl across his eyelids and cheeks. There may be a few others upon his body, but he's not often in one place long enough to tell, unless of course Shade's nearby. His eyes are a bright and piercing emerald green, and should he smile his sharp white teeth are enough of a threat to make the weak willed cringe.

-X- (Art is pending)

Elaine
Sing me a song of youth.
Make it sad and sultry.
Mix bawdy and uncouth,
With a hint of mystery.

Little is known of the woman that's become one of Shadow's acolytes, and she seems to aim to keep it that way. Short cropped dark brown hair, flashing brown eyes, sun bronzed skin, a ready smile, and a helpful attitude, these define this teenage human femme quite well.

Every now and then Elaine's personality shifts, becoming gruff and resentful. These mood swings seem connected as to how much personal attention she receives from her goddess. Too little, and the pouting begins. Melanctha's hoping she can nudge Elaine into growing out of this.

-X-

Jeremiah Ramsey
Picture Vincent Valentine. Now chop his hair to be short and layered. Add a small jagged scar across his left cheek. Make his eyes a deep sapphire blue. Take away the golden claw, the red tattered cloak, and the headband. Now garb him in a long black leather trench with a high collar. Make sure to give him two pistols and tuck them under that trench and into their twin black leather shoulder holsters. No jewelry, no fuss. Well, okay, maybe his Romani sunglasses count for a wee bit of fuss. Now put the tiniest kitten you ever did see atop his head. Make sure the little fellow has gray fur with black spots, shadowy whirlpools for eyes, and a semi-incorporeal body that's wispy at its edges. That's right, "Mister Bad a** in Leather with Guns" has a kitten that sees his hair as the perfect spot to nest. His name is Ira by the way. The kitten, not the bad a**.

Jeremiah is from the Final Fantasty VII universe, just in case the Vincent reference didn't tip that off. The timeline he arrived on Gaia from is set on the cusp of Advent Children. The geo-stigma has been altered for storyline purposes, though copyrights will be mentioned so no one comes demanding first my paycheck then my head. o.o; The infection is now one of the shadows of the Shadow Plane infesting living beings and slowly converting them to become fodder for the Voice's campaign of conquest. Jeremiah is no exception, and his condition was close to terminal when he first met Shadow. She's stilled its growth to keep him alive, and plans to remove the essence of her plane from him as soon as she's strong enough.

While an Initiate of the Weaver, Jeremiah is undergoing his first trial. With patience, he will earn the new rank of Acolyte and be able to take off that pesky blindfold. He's declared his allegiance and loyalty to the goddess, regardless of what comes, in return for her efforts to save his people. Thus far, she's kept true to her word, and has done everything in her power to learn more of what she can do to put an end to the Voice's madness.

Melanctha is still trying to figure out just what Jeremiah means to her. After the initial "getting to know you" phase, she's been drawn to this man who accepts her touch without rebuke. Time spent with him relaxes her, and she's becoming more attached to him with each passing day. The Garden of Twilight has been declared their "special place" by the goddess herself, and it is where they meet to talk privately, often while snuggled up in some way.

Perhaps it should be noted that Alimus isn't quite sure of Jeremiah, and has been keeping tabs on him. The shadowkin has yet to share exactly why, however.

-X- (Art is pending)

Kari
Not yet in continuity...

Karis
Not yet in continuity...

Ira
Nothing says cute like a tinier than your balled fist kitten that can stick his head where it doesn't belong, and phase right back out of it, to boot. Bid welcome to the bite-sized wonder, the shadowkynd whimsy that is Ira. This little boy has decided that Jeremiah and him were meant to be the bestest of friends, and has yet to leave the poor man alone. Then again, Jeremiah seems to be getting used to him. Sort of. One can only be called "Miah" so many times per day, after all.

Ira is the only one of his kynd, a unique amongst what whimsicals have shown themselves to we two leggers. Jeremiah is his bond, the one he's chosen to nurture him and help him grow. Lucky Jeremiah, huh? *Snerk* Melanctha thinks he's adorable, and is likely to spoil the wee guy rotten.

-X-

Laele
Laele is a curiosity unto herself, as her wings' longer feathers sparkle like the night sky. She came into Eirnae's possession by the calling of the rogue within the shadowdancer, who's always had a weakness for things that shine. The little blue egg much resembled a perfectly round sapphire to her widened eyes, and was very surprised when the shop owner simply nodded and said it was hers when she plucked it up and asked how much he wanted for it. Suspecting a trap, yet unable to turn aside a freebie, she carried the wee thing home in a thick sack and then proceeded to watch it like a hawk for the next few days. She was surprised yet again when Laele worked her way out of her blue prison, and chirruped lovingly at the sight of her bonded so close by. The little Dream weaseled her way into Eirnae's heart very quickly, as the Dream's wit often served as both humor and inspiration.

Though she was originally bonded to Eirnae, Laele is more often than not with Melanctha. If she isn't on the Weaver's shoulder, then she's likely somewhere in the vicinity.

-X-

Lonan
From a shard came a youth with scarred flesh, a heart of gold that did not trust, eyes white as the stars that dot the sky come the moon's reign, wings as dark as the deepest shadows, and a tortured soul that accepted his lot. He bears the world's pain, its anguish. Lonan is a rarity, one Melanctha calls a "Bearer of Balance". Being called a "Bearer" by her is a high honor to those who understand the meaning behind it, for she has not had a Bearer, better known to some as a high ranking priest of her faith, since the Fading.

Lonan is a source of fascination for the goddess. She first came upon him during one of his "purgings", when the excess pain and negative emotions he's taken from those around him bleeds out of his scars, quite literally. Instinctively wanting to help him, her and her host's natures consorting to bring about such inspiration, she took him to the one place she thought he'd be safe ... her first temple. Things got complicated after that, and Lonan walked out of the situation some time later unsure what to make of Eirnae/Melanctha beyond that the goddess seemed to bring more trouble about than solve it.

She hasn't given up on influencing Lonan, and plans to drop in on him when he least expects it in the future.

-X-

Orb
Coming soon ...

Rue
If ever there be a "Blessed One" that prefers their feline form, this female is it. She made the shift rather young for one of her kind, and is still adjusting. She's a pretty kitty, and the Weaver took to her straight away. It boils Ciaran's eggs that one of his descendants follows Shadow around as Rue does, but he refrains from commenting on it, as he sees that as Rue's business. Besides, if Shadow tries to hurt his great-great-great ... great granddaughter, he'll have an excuse to bring accusations before Wind and watch the sisters duke it out. He'd do so himself, but Wind's marks on him prevent such action.

Melanctha is very fond of Rue, and can often be witnessed playing with or petting the loving temple cat. Rue returns the affection, and will even shift to perform specific tasks for the Weaver should it be required, despite how much she dislikes it.

-X-/-X-

Saki/Lotus
Eirnae's deceased husband from a little over fifteen years ago. He was an elf from a noble family, and inherited a necklace from his uncle that let him polymorph into a female version of himself. This other persona he gave the name Lotus, and truth be told, he met Eirnae when in the form of Lotus. Lucky for him Eirnae was never one to judge by gender. Long story short, they ended up getting married after several years of adventuring together along with her "boys", which was her nickname for the band of mercenaries she led back then. They defeated a great evil, her and her boys, and things were looking up when Eirnae got pregnant. She was going to have a happy life with her Saki/Lotus and retire. Then the evil returned and took her husband's life. Risking it all, she struck back at it with her friends support, but not long after ending the risk of the evil's return, she miscarried. Eirnae was devastated.

Eirnae's memories of Saki often get muddled with Melanctha's of Shade, so you can well imagine the looks poor Shade gets as a result. Eirnae was deeply in love with her Saki and was soul bound to him, a ritual elves rarely invoke. His death rocked her faith to its foundation, but it wasn't until she lost their daughter did she truly snap. Alimus, her return home to her parents, and the chance meeting with the shadowdancer caravan after healed her wounded spirit enough so that she could move on.

Shade
Coming soon ... I need your help with this one, Drac! o.o

Shadow Children
Creepy. That sums them up rather well, though they are hardly so to Shadow. These are the only survivors from the insanity that's spread throughout her shadow woven creations. They may look young by their size, but they were created before the Fading. Each has their own personality and name, but I'm just too lazy to put those here right now. Nyah!

When they aren't hitching a ride in Shadow's shadow (Natch!), they reside within foot high dolls. This is to protect them from intense sources of light. These float after their mistress when she allows them to accompany her. Like I said, creepy.

Oh look, it's the powerful "evil villain" we know next to nothing about. How Sleeping Beauty of me. *Gets shot by Disney* o.x

Phaedra's Domain.

LOCATIONS:

Phaedra's Chambers: A miniature of Greed's Labyrinth of old, Phaedra's chambers in the Pantheon consist of two distinct areas. The first, the Labyrinth proper, is a series of very small rooms connected by twisted and winding hallways. Visitors who make it past the Labyrinth, or who are invited in directly by Phaedra, will find themselves in the inner sanctum - a room with soaringly high ceilings and the outer wall entirely of glass, overlooking one of the more spectacular lava pools in the gardens. The lava gives a rich red-orange light to the inner sanctum.

Every wall in the Labyrinth is dotted with deep niches to hold treasures; most of them are currently empty.

South Metro Museum of Art and Archaeology (destroyed): The museum where Nebula found Phaedra's gem, the South Metro once hosted a fine collection of art objects and treasures from many cultures. Now the museum has been abandoned and looted, with most everything of obvious value long since taken. Relics of no material value or of a nature too obscure to be recognized may still be scavenged, though.

The basement area contains a vault with the only remaining treasure trove in it; Nebula breached it and found Phaedra's gem inside. Ixa later discovered Jahara's jewel there, and Nebula looted some treasures from the vault (at Phaedra's prompting) during her second visit. Phaedra would have liked to loot it further, but Nebula's horror of the place prevented her from an immediate return and the events of Gehenna reduced the museum to rubble.

The Ancient Labyrinth [destroyed]: Phaedra's palace and home of old, now a heap of small stones and fine powder and ash. The first Labyrinth burned and collapsed in on itself, killing all within and utterly destroying all of the treasures gathered there.

The goddess brought down her sanctuary herself before she Faded (and accelerated her own demise in doing so; her physical form was mangled beyond recognition afterwards) so that no other hand would dare to claim that which was hers.

Achai:

Formerly: A bustling city perfectly summed up by its current catchphrase of choice: "Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die." The population of Achai is dedicated to making what they see as the last years of their lives as enjoyable as possible; the city is overflowing with avenues to fleshly and base pleasures.

Achai itself was once a large city, but now the only part with organized civilization is in the city center. The rest of Achai's outskirts and suburbs have been abandoned by any form of government and are largely crumbling ruins, inhabited only by wanderers and various squabbling groups that have taken up residence, and hold small wars over territory every day.

This stops at the entrance to the city center, now referred to as "the Ruby" - thus named because the entire place is basically a huge red-light district. Achai's Ruby is a hub of frantic energy; the Age of Destruction is widely believed here to be the end of the world, and the inhabitants of Achai and its many visitors are dedicated to enjoying their remaining time alive as much as they possibly can. The Ruby does have electricity and all utilities up and running. The streets here are lined with strip clubs, brothels, bars, casinos, and the remains of every kind of luxury, available for a high price. Light and sound fill every moment, and the overall atmosphere is rather like a constant and frenetic Mardi Gras.

The government of the Ruby is formed of the remains of Achai's original council and an alliance with various organized crime groups. Against all odds, Achai manages to actually work, and the Ruby is fairly safe, considering - provided you don't get on the wrong side of the crime lords.

However, Achai's power was build on a terrible base - the Mindless, a slave subclass of formerly sentient beings, their minds hollowed out by magic. The Mindless need to be reminded to do the simplest of things - like, say, EAT - but obey orders unquestioningly until they die (within six months of their hollowing). Mindless worked all throughout the city, and thousands of them running on generator treadmills powered Achai's excess.

Currently: After Phaedra and Nebula took back the scarab that allowed the Master to create Mindless, they used that power to set the Mindless free - mercy-killing them all within five minutes. This instantly stopped the city of Achai and threw it into chaos.

After Gehenna, Achai slowly clawed its way out of the darkness, with an assist from Phaedra, who had a fondness for the city. She has since worked with the survivors and the growing community to turn it into a prosperous den of vice, with the kingpins bound to her by their own oaths and an addiction to a drug that only the goddess herself can produce.

Nirvana Six: A dance club and brothel in the city of Achai. Nirvana Six is one of the more sophisticated clubs, situated in a mammoth complex that used to be an office building and has since been heavily modified. All the employees live inside the building, which can house far more people than it currently holds. Much of the structure is actually unused.

Nirvana Six offers many services. They do have a standard dance club area and a bar, but the real moneymaker and bulk of the business is catering to every type of erotic pleasure known to man. There are several lounges for dancing and shows, many rooms for prostitutes to ply their trades - basically, if you can imagine it, it's probably in there somewhere.

The brothel does take good care of its employees, offering them full room and board along with fairly decent payment contracts. It's one of the better places to work in Achai's massive sex industry.

After Achai's fall, not much is known about what happened at Nirvana Six. It is presumed the brothel was abandoned to the chaos like most of the city.

The Palace of Eighty-Seven Divine Pleasures: The palace of the Master of the Mindless, the rakshasa Jatasura. A beautiful place set in what was one a city park, the grounds exquisitely maintained and manicured. The Palace itself is huge and winding, and done in high Mughal style (think the Taj Mahal. Alternatively, think the palace of Azad from Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time).

Beneath the Palace, however, lies Jatasura's Labyrinth: a maze of tunnels, round and pale, that goes under not only the Palace but also most of Achai. The Mindless live there and travel beneath the city, as well as work in the treadmill halls to power Achai.

After Achai's fall, Phaedra abandoned the Palace; it was over-run by frantic citizens of Achai seeking the Master. When they found nothing, they looted the place. Phaedra has not returned to the Palace, preferring to make her seat in Achai elsewhere. It's a very deliberate statement: the ruins of Jatasura's splendor are less than trash to her.

NPCs:

Avita (Aoide)

One of the Aoidei with demon blood. Avita sought out Phaedra at her ascension, and won a place at her side through her own hunger and greed, which delighted Phaedra. Avita is utterly subservient to Phaedra, though not submissive unless the goddess wishes her to be. They have an odd sort of relationship, sometimes as friends, and sometimes as mistress and slave.

Avita, through her demon blood, is related to the clan of Grand Duke Berith, a high-ranking demon lord.

Epithymia 'Epi' Bordeaux

An exotic dancer and 'companion' at Nirvana Six. Epi was Nebula's roommate for a time. She's worked at the brothel for about two years, since a few months after the Age of Destruction began, though she was active in the sex industry before that time.

Epi is a sassy, cynical flirt, proud of her ability to twist her customers around her little finger - but she's also kind to those she deems worthwhile. Customers are, by and large, tools and means to an end - money. Her fellow co-workers are her friends and the only family she has worth defending and caring for. Epi is quick of wit and tongue, and skilled at what she does. She also highly dislikes the Mindless, and avoids them whenever she can, not even wanting to talk about them or acknowledge their existence most of the time.

This is because Epi's sister, Polyhymnia (or Hymn) found Jatasura's Labyrinth and wandered too far. The next time Epi saw her sister, she'd been rendered a Mindless. Hymn died in that state, and fro that day forward Epi has been trying to get up the nerve to avenge her sister. With Phaedra and Nebula's help, she was at last able to do so.

Last we heard, Epi was with Zoot and his 'boys', looking for greener pastures than fallen Achai. How she fared in the Age of Gehenna is unknown.

Epi is an olisikit, a variety of felinoid.

Pleonex 'Zoot' Flechet

A bouncer at Nirvana Six, and a small-time mobster. Zoot's real name is Pleonex, but he hates it and will grumble at anyone who tries to call him that. Like Epi, he is an olisikit.

Zoot is a wiry young man with a surprisingly good sense of humor for a bouncer. His skills lie in convincing people to back off without actually using physical force, though he's more than capable of fighting someone off if required. He's cheerful and garrulous, and loves to chat with any of the brothel's other employees. Zoot has a strong sense of loyalty and honor to those under his care, though his morals outside of that are somewhat lacking. He's involved in a few circles of organized crime in Achai, though his participation is generally limited to feeding information to the right ears.

Zoot has a pretty serious crush on Epi. She flirts back at him, but he's not entirely sure if she really likes him any extra or not - and due to the rules of the brothel, he can't really do anything physically with her. Not without paying, anyway.

After helping Epi free Nebula from the Palace -and then killing the Master, Jatasura - Zoot returned with Epi to his 'gang' and led them out of Achai in search of a better place to live. How he fared in the Age of Gehenna is unknown.

Jatasura (deceased)

The Master of the Mindless, a rakshasa and Phaedra's student of old. Jatasura is cunning and clever, a fearsome opponent and a skilled user of magic, specializing in illusion. Before the Fading, he left Phaedra's Labyrinth with the scarab - stealing even before she actually brought the Labyrinth down and killed most of her own followers. He's been alive ever since, scheming and plotting. Most recently, he used the scarab to create the Mindless slave class of Achai, bringing the city under his grasp, with the intent to use Achai as a beacon to curious gods and Aoide. his ultimate goal was to bring down the gods themselves by using the scarab on their hosts, turning them into Mindless and then harvesting the jewels for himself and securing them in his treasury. Thus hidden away from all mortals, he could ensure that the gods could not possibly rise again.

Jatasura was beaten - barely - at his own game by Phaedra, who recaptured the scarab and turned its power back on him. The rakshasa was made Mindless himself, a shambling parody of what he once was. Phaedra intended to present him as a gift to Destruction, but the onset of Gehenna's influence killed the rakshasa. Phaedra, incensed, shredded the corpse quite nicely in her rage.

Grand Duke Berith

One of the demon lords from the hordes set free by Gehenna's influence. Grand Duke Berith seems disarmingly cheerful for a demon, though his friendliness only lasts so long. He and his legions ruled over the Fourth Circle, where those damned by greed and desire went, so he has respect for Phaedra because she provided him with such excellent entertainment for so long. He made a pact with Phaedra to bring offering to Creation when he realized that they would die without it - and even demons have a strong sense of self-preservation.

Estar, and her motley crew

A woman encountered by Phaedra in the ruins around the Pantheon. Phaedra used hr influence to try and bring together a group of mortals to honor Creation, and Estar stepped forward that day. She became the spokesperson of the group, and while she's scared and confused and only saw Phaedra once, she took the dark goddess' words to heart and appeared at the Ritual of Naming on behalf of her small group.

Vehkal

A qilin twisted and broken by Phaedra long ago, in revenge and play for not having received her true desire from the Goddess of Animals. Phaedra uses Vehkal as her mount when needed.

Ankou
(( Last updated 28/07/12 ))

Locations -

Ankou's rooms
In a hall of doors two sit close to each other mismatched. Nothing unusual about that in a Pantheon of different gods. These doors are different in that they lead to the same room.

Ankou's Door
Is marked with a field of forgive-me-nots, over which flies a crow and a vulture, each with a burning candle.

Cosine's Door
Marked with a colourful mosaic arranged in a Fibonacci Spiral

Either door leads into a small tiled entrance hall. To the left are two doors, home to Aoide and infront an archway that leads into the rooms proper.

18. Balcony On the side of the balcony there are small encolves and perchs made of scrap woods for crows to perch at, and nest.

Characters -

Jinx (Aoide)

Jinx is your typical cat - fast, agile, made of soft purring and sharp claws, and enjoys attention and praise. Alot. She is doubtlessly loyal and is, so far, the only aoide in Ankou's service to have survived the fading, and only the future will confirm if it is true or not. She has a sharp, keen sense of detail, and tends to end her sentence in cat-like meows. It does not seem like something she can control, and neither does she minds. She is the soft, female presence when her lord needs company, and the raging amazon when he is threatened, and she is loyal to the death to him. However, as her name says, she can be quite... clumsy in every day tasks, often resulting in hilarious situations. She clearly was a fighter instead of a temple servant.

As one of the few catgirls who existed prior to the fading, Jinx's tale is a rather different one than one would expect of an aoidei. She was, ages ago, but one of the many monsters that lived in the space between worlds and dimensions - the first that Ankou encountered, in fact. Instead of killing her, in instead pulled and made her into what she is now. Without her lord around, Jinx is a bit unstable. Even with Ankou to calm her, she remains a bit ruthless and predatory at times. This is one of the only traits that remains after ages of being the servant of the god that saved her.

Anima (Aoide)

Anima is a grounded, no-nonsense demoness who seems to be a natural born leader and has the habit to take charge of things (...even when she sometimes shouldn't be doing such). She can be quite daring and sometimes sarcastic, through rarely in the presence of her lord, and to other gods. She has taken to Cosine quite well and now serves her as well, helping teach at the goddess' school.]

Lyra

Lyra was Adrian's girlfriend, an ice mage that he met when he still was in school. They where very close, and Lyra has changed him in the years they had spent together. There was even talk of marriage in the air, but Lyra was murdered at the same time as Adrian's parents when the apartment they lived in had been robbed. Adrian was absent at this time, trying to find work, so he was the only one spared, the events sending him down the path of self-destruction. Adrian is still grieving Lyra above even his parents, and much of his actions are done with her in mind.

Lyra, after her death, found herself growing restless and set herself on following her lover, to be his guardian angel, so to speak. However, while trying to follow him and the goddess that was taking him to her temple, her soul has gotten quite lost... in the Shadow Plane, which is breaking down rather badly without any of the shadow deities there. At the same time, Melanctha was working on a gift for Adrian and Ankou, a ornament that would grow to be a shadow, and, seeing this as the only way out, Lyra answered the call and became as she is now. As of now she stays in Ankou's rooms as the world is rather unsafe - and strangely feels herself growing to appreciate the presence of the god that has taken her lover away from her. This wasn't enough, however - with Melanctha gone and no purpose left in life, she asked Ankou to undo Shadow's spell and has truly re-entered the cycle of death and rebirth.

Valkyrie (Order)
Valkyries. Chooser of the slain. Mortal woman who had been heroic in life and proved their worth to the Overseer were often taken by Ankou to become valkyries. They were ageless immortals, with only a chosen, special few making it to the rank of aoidei. Once nearly innumerable, their very direct relation to the god they had served had made it so that each and every of them died in the wake of their leader, Ankou. Therefore returned to the cycle of life and death, they were reborn, as mortals, lived their lives, and died, over and over. The only thing that remained to them was their innate sight of the dead - many powerful oracles of the dead and mediums of ages past were, in fact, reborn valkyries.

All these uncontrolled reincarnations left the valkyries' essence more and more eroded with each new life, to the point where they became undistinguishable from mortals by most eyes. Ankou, however, can feel them and - now that all trace of his mortal host is faded and his power is mostly returned - can awaken them - their very core, their names and what remains of their memories. They are beloved to the god they once served, and thus hold high rank, such as eventual priestesses and assistants, and their opinion holds perhaps the most weight in Ankou's decision after his own.

Hrist dy Valkyria/Lenneth Armandia
Hrist was the leader of the valkyries of old, and the first re-awakened valkyrie. She met Ankou by pure chance, the day Universe died, and he could not shake that there was something important about her. Having lost most of her family to Gehenna, she decided to follow the god to the safety of the pantheon, allowing him to keep a close eye on her. It was only upon his full rebirth that he recognized her as she was - a valkyrie - and was able to to do something about it. Lenneth accepted her role and her memories of Hrist with open arms, and is a curious, inquisitive, and warm young woman, though her re-awakening altered her slightly - she has developed leader qualities she did not have beforehand. She now goes mostly by Hrist, and introduces herself as such. Her fighting style is aggressive, focused mainly on offence.

Hrist is rather attached to the Spirit Guide, and can often be seen in his presence.

Eir dy Valkyria/Shani Vier
Shani was born onto a world called Kurakami, and was unaware of her powers as an oracle for most of her life. When Pythagoras came to her village with Gungnir, what remained of Eir in the young woman was drawn to the spear, and she served the man for quite some time. Eventually, Pythagoras was outed as a charlatan, and Gungnir reacquired by it's true wielder. It was after she came to him, once again drawn by the spear, that Ankou awakened her. Fow now, she is still a bit confused, still in the process of shorting through her memories of old, and is being trained by Hrist. Eir is dependable yet headstrong, determined yet bullheaded, and is shaping up to be more focused on defense.

Panacea:

Locations
At The Pantheon
Panacea bummed a room off Illumin when she first arrived, and though she hasn't been there in a long time, all her stuff is still there.

CFA Corvi
Commander, Fleet Activities Corvi is an extra-solar space station orbiting no particular planet or star. As the central military installation in its sector of space, its units are very active in the fight against piracy.

Its CO is Rear Admiral Solomon Long, a man best described as "effective," who is more a career bureaucrat than crusader against disorder. Trivia: before joining the Extra-Solar Navies, he was an elementary school teacher.

CFA Corvi is a crucible for young military officers, and performance here often makes or breaks a career. It is primarily staffed by humans and near-human 'aliens,' with the most bizarre permanent resident having at best a couple extra limbs and an odd skin color. Trivia: the mentioned resident makes good money as an exotic dancer under the name "Shrimati".

As the installation is not in orbit around a sun, it has its own super-city attached. The constant infusion of money from the navy officers and enlisted men keeps its primarily service-based economy whirring along nicely, but as its primary consumers are young, testosterone-driven males, the services are a bit... skewed. Despite its hydroponics, fresh grown anything is extremely expensive.

NPCs

Aode
I don't remember him entering continuity, so I don't have info on him.

Asclepius
A snake Fandangle, given as a gift from the now-closed Moorgahaine's sprocket emporium. He also commands a small contingent of elemental sprockets:

Blood, Chemical, Cleaning, Data, Disease, Flesh, Hope, Life, Magic, Mutation, Oil, Pain, Toxic Sprockets

Frank Wysor
Frank is Memi's father. He took his daughter's quiet acceptance of death-by-god far harder than her quiet acceptance of death-by-cancer. He got quite drunk and attacked one of the newly reborn gods in the Pantheon living room.

He got et by Alex. Nummers!

Barbara Wysor
Barbara is Memi's mother. She filed for divorce shortly after Memi came home with Illumin and said goodbye.

Current whereabouts unknown.

Song of Joy in Righteousness
Song's First Appearance

Song is a member of the priest class of her as-yet-unnamed people. Her mother is Peerless Discernment, and she has several elder sisters who are not married. She can't sing worth beans, but can play the standing harp and lap harp passibly, and knows how to set the stops for fifty-three different soundscapes/registrations on her home church's twelve-thousand pipe organ (named Twelve-Thousand Echoes of Galed Majesty or something similarly epic).

In her possession are clerical robes made of cloth-of-gold, a peacock feather shawl, and the spear Piercer of Veils. Piercer of Veils is a religious relic, used as a meditative aid by Song's family. It is vaguely magical, and it's purpose is "to excise the ugly truth from the beautiful lies we tell ourselves." She also has a small incense boat, a supply of frankincense, and matches to light it.

She has met Echo in the Pantheon and has volunteered into her service. She has also refused lodging and will be sleeping... somewhere.

Tien/Trickery

Locations
- Eshurian
- Aejiss

Refurbished Hostel, Tien's Current Home
The hostel is in Kedatol, a small town several hours (around 3.5 - 4 hours walking) south of the Pantheon proper. Tien masquerades there as one 'Lady Nancy' and plays the part of a noble woman. The townsfolk do not know of her true identity as of yet, though a few might have some idea.

..

Even if it was a lavish home by mortal stadards, by the standards of gods it might seem a simple affair. But it was Tien's home none the less and to the eyes of mortals it was styled to appear as if it belonged to a noble lady. The house had been a hostel before, meant to house the travelers who passed through town. It stood three stories tall, the outside still looking a little worse for wear from the Weeks though it looks a good deal better than when they had first come there. The inside is restored the best that the goddess and her two aoidei (along with a few hired craftsmen) could manage.

The first floor is a general living room type space, furnished with couches, chairs and whatnot as well as the kitchen.

The second floor is where the bedrooms are, each filled with mismatched (and in some cases heavily repaired) pieces of furniture. Enjiron and Asherah's rooms are on the left side of the hall, with two empty rooms after. On the right side is the bathroom, Gul's room, Itzal's, then an an empty one and finally Ser's.

The whole of the third floor is now Tien's room, since she has gained so many house guests recently. It is a large open room with wooden floors and two fair sized balconies (each facing toward opposite sides of the house) each equipped with double doors than can be closed to keep the elements out or left open to let light and air in. There are a few light couches in the room that can be moved around at need depending on what the room is being used for. There is large comfortable hammock hanging in one corner, for when Tien decides to come up and be by herself. There is also a short ballet bar setup on one wall, though there are very few who would recognize it for what it was. Also in the room is one of her most prized possessions, an antique looking record player and a small selection of records. It was a small miracle such a delicate thing had survived Gehenna and she immediately snapped it up from the market when she found out it still worked.

Morgan's Old Room, Tian Yue's Quarters
User Image

"Also of note are the Aoide quarters. They are connected both to the hallway and to Tian Yue's chambers via a passageway. The rooms here are more simple, but still pleasant and open, with strategic use of mirrors so they don't feel cramped (since they are inside and windowless). They have an inside hallway running up and down the line of three rooms, and a small bathroom with tub etc. at the bottom near the hallway door. " - From Tian Yue's journal

Crispin offered Morgan a room in the aodei quarters as a place to stay when he brought her to the Pantheon. It was a small, comfortable room with a bed, desk and narrow wardrobe. Tien remained there until she struck out on her own after her rebirth.

It took Morgan a little while to get comfortable in the space, but it looked well lived in once she did. The bed was never perfect when she made it after waking in the morning, the desk was always covered with paper or miniatures. Eventually Paint took up residence in the pot of flowers the Allmother had given her.

Tien isn't aware if that room was given to another aodei after she departed or not.

The Compound, PreFading
This was Tien's home before the Fading, however she cannot remember where it would have been located other than it was up in the mountains. She showed it to Morgan through her dreams, though not in its entirety. She would like to visit there someday if she could and see what is left of the place, if anything.

Features of Note:

  • Main Hall → A large room, lined with long tables on both sides of a central fire pit. There was also a raised dais a the far end of the room, where a head table or other things might be placed. The exit from the Gaunlet is also in this room.
  • Entrance Plaza → An walled courtyard with nothing overhead aside from the occasional over hang for shelter from the sun. This area was usually dotted with tents and small fire pits. There was also a fair sized stable for guests mounts just off this area.
  • The Gauntlet → A test one would have to pass to begin your training with Tien. It was designed to be a test of awareness, cleverness and how resourceful an individual was. (Heavily inspired by the Thieves Gauntlet from the D&D movie.)
  • Living Quarters → This section was something Morgan never saw. Just a large collection of bedrooms in winding hallways with traps to catch the unwary.

Cabin of Bones, PreFading
"The path he followed seemed to be only visible to him - twisting and bending like a giant serpent, often taking unexpected turns - and it was hard to tell how much time had passed until they arrived at his cottage. An ugly, crooked little thing, that cottage, which - if you looked at it from the corner of your eyes - seemed to have been built from skulls and bones rather than stone. "
- From an pre-fading roleplay with Thabara

A place that Tien has never set eyes on in this lifetime. It is a place in the borderlands of the old Underworld that Tien used to go with her once lover, Angmar. It was a strange little place they used to go to be able to spend time together since they would both be quite in trouble if they were caught together.

NPCs
I am just going to list them here. As I will probably forget to update this. ^^;

For Ellis/Neva

Locations:

Franklin Avenue
Franklin Avenue runs through the town of New Fortuna, which is a suburb of the city of Carris. It's considered to be the "eclectic" part of town; it has a higher population of non-humans than the rest of the town ever did. Once people started migrating to larger cities, drawn there by the protection they seemed to offer against the decay the world started falling into, Franklin Avenue became the most populated place in town. Many of the people who lived and worked on Franklin Avenue refused to leave town--or were refused admittance into the city--going so far as to move into the Franklin Arms, which is the largest apartment building on the street. What used to be a flourishing town of tens of thousands of people has dwindled into a tightly-knit community of dozens. The lives they lead now, cut off as they are from the city, are hard, but bearable.

1st Street Diner
The 1st Street Diner sits at the corner of Franklin Avenue and 1st Street. Since the town consolidated into a single community, it has become less of a diner and more of an all-purpose meeting hall. Daily meals are served there, cafeteria-style; it's easier on the town's limited resources that way. Events are held there, as well.

Tolby Park
The populated sections of Franklin Avenue begin to taper off once it hits 28th Street. Beyond there lie abandoned homes, a few empty, scattered shops, and Tolby Park. The "park" was never really more than a grassy field, a few crooked trees, and an old swing-set. When decay started setting in, it destroyed the living things first; now, the field of grass is dead and brittle, the trees are bare and twisted, and the swing-set is little more than a dangerous pile of rusted metal. However, the Coven of the Golden Sun--a coven of human witches and people of true power alike--still gather there for rituals and ceremonies.

NPCs:

Eirlyn (Aoide)
Eirlyn is not an ideal servant even at the best of times. Contrary to her current cat-like incarnation, she is helplessly clumsy. She is bubbly and affectionate--certainly easy to like, but unfortunately, she isn't all that bright. Eirlyn was born from a plush cat doll one Halloween and has been wandering, seemingly aimlessly, ever since.

Kyrus Remali
Kyrus has been Ellis's best friend since they were children. They graduated college together, moved out of their hometown, and opened their own business in New Fortuna. Kyrus is a social butterfly--a description made even more appropriate by the large butterfly wings coming out of his back. He is equally as eager to play as he is reluctant to work, and he's always armed with a smile.

Urska Ivanov
Urska, a Russian immigrant, is the owner of and cook for the 1st Street Diner. She is a large, matronly woman, and is affectionately referred to as "Mama Bear" by the residents of Franklin Avenue. A were-bear, she is quick to be wary of strangers, but also quick to adopt them as her own. Urska has a big heart, but she can often be a little too smothering. She lives above the diner.

Sketia Levos
A four-armed, four-eyed woman, Sketia can make anything that requires any kind of needle, thread, or loom. She specializes in tapestries, which she sells to those who live in the city, but saves her infamous afghans for the residents of Franklin Avenue. She's also quite skilled with hair--her own long, black hair is rarely seen in the same style twice.

Anna and Alisa Walker
Anna and Alisa Walker are twins, not that one could tell by looking at them. They both have brown hair and eyes, but there the similarities end. Anna is sun-bright and cheerful, definitely the more outgoing of the pair, and always knows how to make a statement. Alisa, in contrast, is more introverted and subdued, often letting her sister do the speaking for both of them. Both are members of the Coven of the Golden Sun, and while Anna is a skilled healer, Alisa has the less enviable ability of foresight. The pair are very closely linked, and it's not rare to hear them speak in tandem or finish each others sentences.

Neil Eskatar
Neil is a quiet, middle-aged divorcee who specializes in memories. He can make other people remember things they've forgotten, and he can show transfer memories between people as long as they're physically linked. His ability doesn't work if the rememberer is asleep, and he can't erase people's memories. Neil actually moved from the city to Franklin Avenue--he couldn't erase the memory of his ex-wife's affair. She and their two children still live in the city, but Neil never sees them.

Bill
Bill is an older man, with coffee-colored skin and short white hair. His most distinguishing features are his eyes: the colors are inverted, with black irises surrounding white pupils. He has the ability to see magical energy--auras, leylines, and the energy used in active magic--but is otherwise blind. No one knows a whole lot about him, except that he's a crotchety old b*****d with a sharp tongue.

Gelezis's info

Places
Sean's home and store
An old antique shop that Sean took over from his aunt. He runs the place by himself, and lives in the back rooms, making a fair amount of money, but not enough that he can quite live in luxury. Parts of the back rooms are filled with boxes, as though Sean still has not quite finished unpacking since moving in after college several years before. He keeps a set of audio tapes and a recorder handy at all times, and has a habit of recounting his life on tape like a diary. The shop itself is filled with glass cases containing various curiosities, which come and go as Sean buys and sells them. A few things never seem to leave the shop, and Sean describes them jokingly as cursed; the compass that arrived with Gelezis's stone is one of these items, however Sean seems intent not to sell it.

People
Joe Harrison
A college friend of Sean's. They got back in touch after Sean mistakenly thought that the package by which Gelezis's stone arrived was from him. Joe is not at all sure what is going on with Sean since receiving the stone, however Sean has confided in him that it is stuck to his hand - information that he prefers to keep to himself ordinarily.

Cynosure (Aoide)
A white-furred catgirl who recently took up residence in Sean's house in hopes of seeing Gelezis again. She is loyal and perhaps a little too eager, and it is not entirely clear whether or not Gelezis thinks very highly of her. Sean finds her company a small comfort, however.

Kishara/Gaia

Locations

Gaia's Residence
Occupying apartments previously belonging to the first reborn Love, Khiviance, Kishara has made the space hers over time, changing it into a thriving greenhouse of sorts. Refugees from the outside world consider the area to be a safe haven, and although nothing of Love's has been purposefully removed, the plants that keep the Mother company have begun to grow and now occupy nearly every available inch of wall, ceiling, and floor. This location could be considered the locust of Kishara's power, as the greenery is exceptionally responsive to her whims due to lengthy exposure to the goddess' presence.

Decrepit Theatre
A place teeming with life and accomplishment only a decade or so prior, the theatre is now a gutted, brick building suffering from the significant fire damage of an arson attempt. Although the flames were extinguished by the local firefighters before the theatre was burned to the ground, there is still a gaping hollow in the back-most wall where the blaze destroyed a portion of the dressing rooms and janitorial area.

The interior still retains worn, velvet seats for the audience and a splintering platform with moderate smoke damage. Built to last, the theater stands tall at a single story with a vast ceiling and a once elegant and spacious ground floor. The double doors in the front of the building, previously the only way inside, are always unlocked. Much of the stage and the seating vicinity remain unscathed, but talk of reconstruction has faded to nonexistence in the age of Destruction. The theater now serves as a rest stop for vagabonds to occupy before moving on to the next town.

Park
An unnamed allotment of grass, trees, and walkways which has been declared a kind of park. It was here that the host Persephone attempted to take sanctuary from her enemies after the theater was burned. The scenic, manicured landscape of old oak trees and carefully maintained flower beds has become nothing more than twisted remnants of wood and scorched ground in the Age of Destruction.

Incomplete Subway Station and Tunnels
A project mistakenly taken on by a city on a tight budget, the in-construction subway became a hiding place from the authorities for runaways and derelicts. The tunnels hold only a few lengths of track, and many of them end in broken bits of concrete that were never properly cleaned up once the cause was abandoned. Located beneath the present-day slums, the tunnels served as a substitute home to Pell-mell and her many companions, a place where thieving teenagers would not be questioned.

Additional Characters

Ray Chimalsi
A friend to Persephone Melora, now deceased. Ray was an eighteen year old swindler who dealt primarily in cards and other games of rigged chance. Friendly and helpful in a way that belied his immense size and occupation, he was a trusting person who turned to a life of petty crime after a sordid childhood. Missing a father called to military duty and stuck with a mother who turned to drugs in order to cope, Ray was forced out onto the streets and learned to fend for himself. He met an old bum who went by the name of Papa Midnight, and the man became for him the stabilizing figure he had always longed for. Years later, he met up with Jamie and Pell-mell, two little brigands in a group of youthful thieves who needed guidance. He lived with them in the subway tunnels until the death of a previously unknown uncle pulled him back to some wealthy aunt's countryside manor. Upon his return to the city, he found his old home deserted and worked quickly to convince his aunt to bail out his friends and find Persephone once more. Unfortunately, their reintroduced acquaintance was short-lived, as Ray fell victim to the Defilers who had been trailing the young girl. He was buried beneath the roots of an old oak tree by Kishara, who had recently taken over Persephone's emotion-ravaged form. His corpse was later exhumed by the same necromantic cult in an effort to attract the goddess' attention. It was recovered after a brief skirmish, and presumably destroyed or hidden by Gideon with the intention of never being available as a way to hurt the reborn goddess again.

Jamie Ceryx
Originally deemed the unofficial leader of Persephone's small thief ring, Jamie is charismatic and sensitive with an ability to draw people to him. Though intelligent, his tendency is to allow the opinions of others to sway him, fearful of seeming domineering or arrogant. Never much of one for leadership, the seventeen-year-old usually deferred to Ray when serious matters were brought up and always worried over decisions if the older boy was not around. After growing fearful of Persephone's capacity for violence, he and his girlfriend, Theresa, abandoned the girl to be on their own. They were later found by Kishara at the threshold to the Age of Destruction, and she cared for them and provided them with shelter until both teens disappeared. Their whereabouts are currently unknown, but they are presumed to be dead.

Theresa 'Terry' Garibaldi
A spit-fire girl who believes strongly in the allure of fashion, Theresa was very much unlike her compatriots in that she came from a well-to-do family. Her decision to take to the streets was a result of arguments with her mother, which resulted in the girl running away and actually coming to an appreciation for the freedom of street life. Flirtatious and perhaps a tad promiscuous, Terry works hard at keeping her appearance up to the standards on magazine covers. She dislikes competition and has wit enough to destroy the reputations of others if her threats have fallen on deaf ears. She was the one who first turned against Persephone when the Crypt Defilers designated the angry teen as a target, and she was not entirely certain what to think of the redheaded deity who replaced her. She is MIA, presumed deceased.

John 'Johnny' Stock
Nervous is likely the best word to describe Johnny as it is his most dominant trait with his rat-like face and loyal to no one attitude. He is wickedly intelligent with an eye for detail that has developed over time and experience. It is speculated that he was borne to a prostitute in a neighboring city and was raised by crack-addicts in an abandoned meat factory where they set up their facilities. It is also rumored that he was once part of the Crypt Defilers, though no one can say for certain as one does not simply quit such a gang. He vanished early on in the continuity, and his whereabouts are unknown. Suspected to be deceased.

Gregory Hopkins
Introduced - and subsequently killed - during the False Idols Arc. Gregory was a merchant who accidentally ended up on the world where the Pantheon was located after a mishap involving a portal between realms. As a result of popping out of thin-air and into the ravaged Age of Destruction, nearby people clung to him in desperation as a kind of savior, and began to worship him as a god. Being of the modest-variety, Mr. Hopkins was rather put-out by this behavior, and so when Kishara was captured by his cult of believers, he conspired with her to end the travesty and present her as one of the real reborn gods. Unfortunately, the plan went awry, and Gregory ended up taking a dagger to the chest to spare the redheaded goddess.

The Crypt Defilers
A cult of predominantly young individuals who dabble in the dark art of necromancy as well as the normal acts of mugging, murder, and general resistance to authority. Led by the mysterious "Three," they are a force to be reckoned with, and their numbers grow steadily with every passing week. They pose a danger to any who walk the city streets, and hold no love for the resident god of the Underworld nor the deity Gaia.

Aoidei

Alexander
Alex spent his time since the Fading living in a greenhouse, tending to the plants rather than interacting with the mortals that frequented there. He was an unofficial part of the werewolf clan led by Gideon Silouanos, a rough and tumble old man who possessed no real sense of humor. He had not seen his partner, Rognvaldr, in decades, but the summons of the deity they had served in ages past charged them with coming together once more. Alex is shy and perhaps a bit feminine, always preferring to keep quiet and appear demure. He cleans, cooks, and occasionally runs errands for his frazzled goddess.

[x]

Rognvaldr
A somewhat arrogant Aoide who has spent the last few centuries observing the horrors humanity has inflicted upon their home planet. Although reluctant at first to return to his sovereign lady, the aoide eventually accepted his place within the goddess' house once again. He enjoys booze (and by default bars), sex, sleeping, and plants, and has been known to come off as a little crude or disrespectful to others.
