Ears perked up straight due to always being tense and alert to his surroundings, Shizuka still continued to be wary although his eyes were focused solely upon his Yasei. Yes, his. She was his, no one else's, no other stallion's... no long even her father's. Just his... Shizuka's girl.
He loved the attention she was giving him, the attention that he had always craved, had always wanted. He took a bit of Yasei's mane and tucked it behind her ears so that he could stare into her clear eyes better.
He enjoyed how she wanted to depend solely on him; his sadistic nature made it where he probably wouldn't have minded hurting Yasei... but because of who his mother was, he didn't have the heart to hurt this mare... he had trouble grasping why.
He was falling, certainly. Mentally, since he obviously wasn't buckling physically. He just... wasn't sure what he was feeling. A warmth was surrounding his often cold heart, and a fire burned heavily within him that he had never felt before in his life.
Being who he was, whatever it was that he wanted, he would take it. His motto was, "if there's a gift in your face, take it before it's stolen"... or something like that. He planned to grab on tight for... whatever this magical night was giving him. He nearly laughed at the adjective he had used, but didn't think too hard on it.
"Do you think I've been any good with mine?" he snorted, laughing. "My emotions, my feelings; I used to think they were useless. Weaknesses, actually. Except for anger or hate, really; they helped me." His eyes were soft now, gentle.
"Could you what?" he asked as he waited for her to continue. He stayed quiet, watching her get herself together, composing herself, returning to a more calm state. He mused a bit. She's so cute like that... Only Tsuyoi would think that way in a serious situation.
"You..." he said, eyebrows raising in surprise. She expected him to drop her just like that? ...Well, he had done that before, with other mares. He was a womanizer, but... he found that he cared for Yasei. Deeply, in fact. Considering his situation, he had also vowed to his mother one thing that he held encased within his heart.
A vow that he would never break, either. The vow he had given was... Once I find a mare important to me, the only one who melts my ice, I will never abandon her. Not like Father did you, Mother. The one mare who becomes important to me... I will never leave her side. She will be mine... this I vow henceforth. He reviewed his vow, and nearly laughed aloud.
"What's wrong with you, Yasei? I never said I was going to leave!" he said, smirking. "Now that I have you, what's keeping me from keeping you, hm? From having you all to myself?" After all, once something was Shizuka's... he never let it go. "Live with me... wander with me, Yasei."
He could tell Yasei wasn't the type to settle down in one place; neither was he. "You won't lose me to the night... never. In fact, you'd probably always find me," he teased. "You wouldn't find me too easily during the day, after all... and I'll always be by your side."
He finally acknowledged it. He loved her... this mare... his Yasei. "I'm always here," he said gently. "Believe that I'll disappear... and I probably will. Believe I'll stay... and I'm forever by your side. You're mine, after all," he stated. Mine. No one else's...
