Roger IS a lot of the reason Ben is the way he is.
And did you NOT see the look on Ben's face when he said that!? How jerkish of a father! I wouldn't believe it if my dad said that because Alex (well and I am...) is RESPONSIBLE!!! lol
I don't know if Karl would. I don't think he would.

If my Dad said something like that to me, I'd take the Ben way out. (run away, not murder with nerve gas)
What makes you think he wouldn't? He was ON the island working with the others, he knew everyone, had friends. The others seem to be VERY huge on following orders. Even if he didn't trust or like Ben, he may do it because he believes in their mission, or because he cares about the other others. (man, my mom is right, I do think about this stuff way too much)

While Ben treated Karl badly, think about it. Karl was yonger than most of the others, to be accepted he would have to be very skilled and they would have to be sure that he was very loyal. Think about it.
Also, who doesn't heart Karl? he's heartful!

- Ben said alot of people died 'last time it happened, whatever 'it' is it has something to do with that phone and if every LIVING person on the island is in danger, that includes Alex so if Karl believes Ben, to protect Alex he'd have to get the phone away from Jack
