Awww...I'm sorry you're having a bad day. Maybe you'll feel better after reading some of these posts?
Don't worry, I'm sure your husband won't be upset. If you love each other enough to have a child together, I think everything will be fine. 3nodding

Fuzzy Necromancer It's best that you at least wait until the little blugger comes out of your v****a before you start imposing roles on it. >.< Dinosaurs and Pooh-bear are the best canidates for decorational themes. Avoid anything with clowns at all costs. As a parenting experiment, see what happenes if you forgo the traditional spring colors for black striped with fireball fuschia. 3nodding Right on, Fuzzy-kun. And I strongly advocate gender-neutral names. Jamie is one of my favorites. Don't worry, as long as you and your husband love each other and the beautiful baby you're going to have, it shouldn't matter what sex or gender it ends up being.

Aww. That sucks. sad *huggles for you*
Since people are talking about names, I also like boy names on girls. Will has always been a big one. Iwould love to have a little girl named Will.
As far as actual girl names on girls, I'm going to name my first daughter Holly Claire.
Boys don't have much choice.......I'll probably name a boy Emil or Jhonen (because Jhonen Vasquez deserves an army worthy of his to-be reign. My child shall be his sucessor. scream )

Why not try a name like Cassidy? Most people think it's a girl's name, but if it were, then there would never have been a person in US history named Butch Cassidy. Cassidy means 'clever', so why should only one gender have such an awesome trait?

Thanks for all the replies *hugs for all my nice people* I'm feeling MUCH better about it. I DO like boy names for girls, too by the way. We've decided on Sciezka (Shess-ka) Dania (Dan-yuh) Tres (Tress our last name) for a girl or Devlin Jacob Tres for a boy. I don't believe on imposing gender roles on my children either, but I just felt like it'd be really nice to know, and that it'd bring us closer together in a way. Gender roles or not, male-beasties and female-beasties really DO have different brain functioning and thought processes. We're two different creatures. I kinda' wanted time to prepare if it's going to be a boy, because I'm not sure how to deal with the male mind. So I'm reading up on it 3nodding

Also, as for decoration, we decided on an "Adorable Baby Animals with Large Heads" theme. Everyone loves animals. Especially if they have a mindset like me and their daddy.

Cassidy means 'clever', so why should only one gender have such an awesome trait? I had a crush on a boy named Cassidy in 6th grade. He had (and still has) the longest curly blonde hair I have ever seen on a boy. And he has a moustache.....and glasses......and he's in a death metal band. ninja
On a side note, I almost said Caddisy......which is almost a real cool name.
