Last time I checked, manmade items as fel essences are a no-no here, but the concept is very interesting.

There's plenty of surfaces in nature that are reflective or reflect / refract light, like certain minerals and smooth water. ^^ If you can fit one in a jar and add the properties that you've just described, this would be a solid concept.

Well-polished obsidian is reflective, and I think it's been used in human history to serve the purpose of a mirror when no other resources were available.

Shuura: I'm aware that a plant type is not uncommon, but I'm glad to see that the venus flytrap is interesting enough for you and everyone else. I've also been debating a bat soul perhaps. Of course that is, if no one else has thought about it. mrgreen

Mouse: *nods* I wasn't quite sure, but I thought that it might be an issue, being that all the essences are suppose to be from nature. So I agree with your thought that it needs to be fixed to adhere to that. How about something along the lines of a black crystal?

Well, I was just throwing an idea around. I still do like your obsidian suggestion, though I think I want to explore some other ideas still before settling. Of course by that I mean other things that could serve as a non-reflective essence because just like you said, it's just too cool to pass up. mrgreen

Oh, I like your concept. The venus flytrap mixing with the non-reflecting mirror is very interesting. Also your raevan could possibly absorb the other ravean's powers. Or powers from certain things in its environment. *throwing out ideas*

So I had some more ideas. Thinking that maybe a power of hers could come from the mucilage that pretty much all carnivorous plants have in order to trap their prey. Maybe she can secrete it through her skin and well...make some 'sticky' situations. mrgreen

Also, I've removed the invisibility ability because it doesn't seem to work anymore and I'm concentrating more on the absorbing thing, but I'm still iffy about it absorbing the other raevan's abilities. I would really like to hear more on what other's think for this if possible.

One last thing was, I know this is a mere semi-custom (due to the fact that I would just love Kyou to have at it with the design and all), but I think it would be really cool if the raevan's hair had a Medusa style to it, you know like with the leafy vines of the plant.

UPDATES!!! They are all over the first page, a lot of restructure for some of it, but there's the essence that's been redone mostly because it was a flatsale entry. Ah yes! You didn't read wrong, I've put up all my entries for the summer festival flatsale. Since I didn't make it to Round 2, figured it'd be fine for me to post them. Let me know what you think of them as well as the revamped original concept. Wait wait, I forgot to mention the names I'm thinking of, but yeah you need to read or re-read the first page to find out, hehe. Enjoy!

P.S. I also came up with another fel essence just now! Lol, I know after the contest. stressed Hee, doesn't matter now, but I wanted to put it down before I forgot. Let me now what you think!

Thank you for your comments Kaurii. I think it's funny that out of my essences it's the Bottled Thoughts you like. To tell you the truth, that is actually my least favorite of all my essences. But the idea to combine that and with the bat soul is a bit intriguing to me. Just for that, I think I might bring the bat soul back, but as a sort of alternative. I'm still a bit stuck on my flytrap soul.

The mirror as in the Cursed Vanity, isn't suppose to reflect at all. That's the whole point of the essence. That because of the storm, the obsidian doesn't reflect like it naturally should. But I have thought about it doing other things maybe other than not reflecting, but I still like the idea of that it doesn't. I might need to continue working it or perhaps not make it obsidian and maybe make it water instead. *le sigh* So much thinking and reworking on my part.

Anywho, my latest fel essence idea is actually my most fav at the moment. The fact that it cleans when it should make things dirty is kinda cool I think. I have a really clear idea to how she might look, dark skinned with that Medusa hair-do. But yeah, I'm rambling again, lol. Thanks again for your comments! I greatly appreciate it!

Oh my, so many essences! I thoroughly enjoyed your bottled thoughts and lingering mist essences. The lingering mist one is a bit bland compared to the bottled thoughts one though. It could be spiced up with a better description. I see a lot of potential in that one.

Perhaps, the smoking corpse could be of someone important to the shop's original story? It could be the lingering smokey remains of Freyr for example. And through the lingering smoke you could make out the his hazy form and could hear his dieing wish to see Shira again. I'm sorry, I'm just spewing my ideas. xD;;

Also, the bottled thoughts one is quite adorable in my opinion. Perhaps, the thoughts could also have some sort of form. Such as floating sentences or something. Just to make it a bit more unusual.
