Thank you, but I don't own him. In fact, I'll never see him again. He was a sale horse. smile

Ah, I feel so fuddy duddy - me and my little western self. xd

My usual riding attire? Depends on the weather and what I'm going to be doing.
If I'm going out to the barn specifically to do some flat work and real riding (like lessons but minus a coach), I usually wear comfy fitting jeans, a sports bra (had to add), loose T-shirt, if it's hot - a tank top, my riding boots (western), and . . . that's about it.

If it warm and I'm just going out for a trail ride with some friends, I sometimes wear basketball short instead of jeans (I look amazing with them and boot on).

Pretty much whatever I'm wearing I ride in. Though, I either wear my boots or go barefoot, I won't ride in tennis shoes.

Back when I took lessons though (english), I wore some full set tan breeches (only ones I owned!), a comfy T-shirt that was tucked in, black leather ankle high riding boots with half chaps, and a pair of riding gloves. Along with my riding helmet of course.

User Image The love for a horse is just as complicated as the love for another human being, if you never love a horse, you'll never understand.

When I have my lessons I usually wear breeches (I don't have full seat but I wanna get a pair soon), A tank top if it's summer or long sleeve shirt in winter, half chaps, gloves, and ankle high boots. (I have riding boots but they are the most uncomfortable things in the world to volunteer in all day doing leading and stuff and since I ride on days I volunteer that's out of the question). Oh and of course I wear a helmet 3nodding

When volunteering I pretty much wear what I do when I ride I want to look more professional since as soon as I get my rider 1 & 2 test done which will be this year since I can do most of it most of it just needs to be perfected, I'm gonna get certification to become a therapeutic riding instructor. So yeah I wanna look a bit better then just throwing on whatever since these people may have me teaching their kids one day since it is a therapeutic school 3nodding

In the winter I wear a coat and polar fleece sweater over my long sleeve shirt or tank top. I also dig out my fleece ligned half chaps

when I ride outside of a lesson (and occasionally in a lesson), I normally just wear jeans, paddock boots, and a t-shirt or camisole top. My old instructor used to insist that I wear tall leather boots and tall leather boots only whenever I rode, but my current instructor says that I don't need to wear tall leather boots because they're stuffy, they're my show boots, and my positioning from the waist down is perfect (even though my torso was not good at all when I moved to my current barn, it is much better now XD), so I don't need that support. If I'm wearing breeches, I usually wear my black breeches with knee patches (I don't like my tan ones- too short), paddock boots, and my arriat half-chaps.

And I always wear my magenta riding helmet and my thick gloves (even if it's hot out). :3

For lessons I typically wear jeans, half chaps, paddock boots and layers of shirts, a pony with a nasty pulling habit taught me to wear gloves (I got a whole bunch from the colour guard captain at my school since they use riding gloves)
When I go off site, I typically wear better, depending on the weather a polo or nice tee and maybe my safety vest, then breeches and tall boots.
For shows I used a black hunt coat for the longest time but then I didn't show for a few years and I um... grew a bit and I can't button the top so Ihad to break down and get a blue hunt coat *gag* If I could (I'm planning on selling my hunt coat, if I ride in college I'll buy a strech black coat) I would still rock my black hunt coat. The little bit of rebellion I can give in Hunters.
If I'm working at camp and all I have to do with riding is demostrate how to get on and steer, I usually wear beat-up jeans, paddock boots and as many layers of shirts as nessicary- I may wear a visor when I'm not wearing a helmet.

I ususally my breeches and tall boots and a t-shirt for practice/training/lessons.
In the winter I wear a billion sweatshirts and my breeches and winter tall boots.
Then when I compete I wear regular english show attire. But for cross-country my show color is purple. heart

Well I usually just wear my tan jodphurs, sports bra (hey, my boy likes to trot), riding boots, t-shirt (I'm looking out for some nice polos though) and black gloves if I remember to put them on. I don't really need gloves because I use cotton rope reins. biggrin

And if it's winter i'll use the jacket that was part of my old P.E. uniform XD

I wear everyday clothes unless it is winter; like now. The only thing different I wear is another coat over my normal one, and boots because of the mud.

Well my barn is pretty slack. We can wear jods or jeans. I've seen a lot of people ride in their PJs too.

I usually ride in either jeans, jods, half chaps and paddock boots, or my tall boots.

If I ride bareback, I'll wear any of the above or my vans.

It depends on where I am and what I'm doing.

At School:
If I'm riding dressage, I wear breeches of some sort (full seat most of the time, but knee patch depending on where I am in my wash cycle), paddock boots, half chaps, a t-shirt and my helmet. I usually try to ride in my tall boots once every two week or so just to make sure they're still fitting (I've had problems with this before.
If I'm working with the TR ponies, I usually wear jeans, whatever shirt I have on (usually a T-shirt), whatever shoes I have on (we have safety stirrups on all of the therapy saddles, so I can ride in tennis shoes, but I usually ride them bareback or in a surcingle.)And of course my helmet
If I'm riding western for whatever reason, jeans, t-shirt, helmet, paddock boots.
If I'm just tooling around bareback on one of the dressage horses, whatever I happened to have on that day (which is usually jeans, a t-shirt, and paddock boots/tennis shoes. And of course, my helmet.
I have to wear a shirt with sleeves at my school's barn, so I always have a t-shirt on, except for clinics, when I wear a polo.
At IDA shows, I wear white full seats, black dress boots, a white short-sleeved shirt that's designed to whick sweat away, a black dressage coat (not a shadbelly, I'm not good enough to earn the right to wear one of those yet smile ), black gloves (I need to get some white ones... I think I've almost earned the right to wear those), and my black velvet helmet.
Schooling shows that I take my project horse, I wear the tall boots, either my white or tan full seats, black gloves, black helmet, and a blue polo. I need to get a St. Andrews polo so that I can "officially" represent the school.

When I'm not riding at school, it's pretty much the same thing, only in the summer I usually ride in a tank top, or just a sports bra if it's warm enough. In the winter I'll usually have a zip-up sweatshirt of some sort so that I can take it off as I get too warm. Doesn't matter the outside temperature, if I'm working, I'll get overheated. It doesn't take much for me to get too warm.

When I went to the horse camps, I just wore jeans, tshirt, pull-on boots and a riding helmet. Once I start taking lessons, I'll get a couple of pairs of jophurs, riding boots and maybe a riding helmet if the stable dosn't lend you one.

Once you start lessons I would suggest getting your own helmet. For safety and cleanliness. My camp has helmets to share but even we don't like that policy too much. Also that way you can set the helmet so it fits you correctly and not worry as much about it every time you ride.
