He was a bit confused by her sudden change of attitude, but if she knew where the parking lot was...well it was better than wandering around the park for hours, lost and trying to find it. so...
"Sure, if you could help me, that'd help a lot. I get lost fairly easily on my own..."
Of course, he'd have blushed slightly when she took his hand, and if she forgot to let it go...well, lets just say he wouldn't be learning the way to the parking lot, as he'd be focusing on that. Innocent little guy.

Pez nodded and let go of his hand, motioning for him to follow. She lead the way to the parking lot, stopping on the black top pavement and shoving her hands into her jeans. She fidgeted slightly, looking down and biting her lip before rushing ahead, her words tumbling together as she spoke.
"Look, uh can I get a ride home if it's not too much trouble for ya?"

"Th-that'd be fine, though you'd have to give me directions..."
Wait, a girl was actually going to be in his car? And was asking for a ride home? He knew she was probably just using him...but hey, it was still a cute girl asking something of him. He was going to have a hard time refusing anyways, so why even try.
So, he'd end up pressing the button on his key chain to unlock the car and get into the drivers side, waiting for her to get in as he settled in, trying to not let his nervousness or his blushing be too obvious.

"Great!" Pez practically skipped as he agreed, reaching down to open the door on her side after he unlocked it. She gave a small 'tsk' of disgust to herself as she realized that in such close quarters he was bound to notice her mangled face.
If he asked... if he asked... 'just answer him.' She thought to herself. He was being nice enough to let her, a stranger who'd tackled him into the grass just a few moments ago, into his car for a ride home. She slid into the passenger seat and closed the door, buckling up and looking forward out the windshield.
It took a moment for her to gain her bearings. It was still incredibly difficult to look at the world through just one eye sometimes. Finally she pointed southwest. "Right, go down that way. Jes head toward the harbor, I'll tell ya when we're gettin' close."

Kai would, of course, begin driving. And though he did notice that there were a few small scars hinting that maybe the eye patch wasn't purely decorational...he wasn't going to ask. It'd be rude to, after all, and it wasn't like they were friends or anything. He was just giving her a ride home, to apologize for taking her picture.
Still, towards the harbor...he couldn't help but realize that was the poorer section of town. So she was...poor? Better not let her know he was from a well off family then.
"So, uh..."
He'd try to search for something to talk about, so the ride wouldn't just be in silence, and would, of course, fail. He wasn't used to actually having a chance to talk to people, after all. They usually just talked at him, and expected him to listen silently.

"Uh?" She tilted her head toward Kai, eyebrow arched delicately in a curious gesture. "Uh, the weather is nice or uh, ya expectin' some sorta payment back... cuz I ain't got any money.." She scooted down a little in the seat, slouching. He didn't really seem like the type to ask for some kind of payment but that small bit of conscience was plucking at the back of her mind.
"Turn here."
At least she could offer him a place to crash for the night. It was getting late and she didn't want to stick him in an unfamiliar location and then force him to drive home to wherever he might reside thanklessly. She reached up to scratch idly at her cheek just below the patch. The morbid urge to reach under was hard to fight sometimes but she managed now.

"No, no, I don't need paid. I wasn't expecting or asking for anything like that..."
And after that, the ride would likely be a mostly awkward silence, unless she had something to say other than directions. Eventually, they'd end up reaching their destination though, and he'd end up parking in front of...wherever she lived.
Yeah, now to wait for something to happen, as he hoped he'd be able to find his way home.

The ride was pretty uneventful and silent, save for her pointing out a road to turn down. For the most part Pez went on oblivious to any awkwardness he might feel, this was just a ride she managed to bum, she didn't expect it to be the most exciting car ride of her life!
They stopped in front of her dumpy little apartment (Apartment Universe, which was the most stupid name for an apartment complex in her opinion). She sat in her seat for a while, staring at the dashboard as she finally gave into that guilty little niggling.
"Ah.. hey ya.." She scratched her cheek again absently and half turned toward Kai, making a motion toward the building with her other hand. "Ya can crash here if ya don' think ya can find ya way back home in the dark like this..." She unbuckled, satisfied now that she'd made the offer. "Least I can do. But ya warned... it's a dump inside."
She opened her door with a small kick and reached into her pockets, pulling out and jingling her keys. If he wanted to come he'd come, she'd leave the door unlocked and slightly ajar for him. As it was Pez headed to the first door on the ground floor (B-6) and let herself in.
She glanced around quickly. Alright, not too bad. There wasn't garbage or food laying around. At most it looked like a small clothes bomb had gone off in the middle of the room, spreading it's shrapnel in all directions. There was a computer sitting on the floor off to one corner as well as a sofa futon cushion laying on the ground with blankets and pillows. No TV, but there seemed to be almost as many books of a wide variety as there were clothes.
Moving inward Pez kicked a bra to the side and headed for the kitchen, making sure the door was left open enough for Kai to feel welcome.

Normally, Kai would have stammered in a confused manner, but as it was she was gone before he could. And something in him wouldn't let him just drive off after an invite like that. Part of it being the fact that it'd just be rude...and part of him was saying he'd regret it for forever, if he didn't at least go up to her apartment. As, uh...small and beat up as this complex seemed.
So he'd walk into the building a little behind her, open her door cautiously, and freeze and blush as he saw the clothes everywhere. Because you can't honestly say that there weren't plenty of undergarments lying around.
He did step in though, seeming kinda nervous.
"Um...if you're not sure about this, I could always try and find my way home...you don't have to do this."
The narrators opinion? Kai, stop being so nervous and make a move so you can possibly get laid, damnish!

Pez turned as she heard Kai walk in - she'd already shucked out of her jacket and scarf and had tossed them on a chair in the small kitchen area. At least this portion of the house wasn't too cluttered.. there were a few pots and pans in the dish drainer that were unclean but it wasn't filthy.
She held up a mug. "D'ya want coffee, tea, water, or milk?" She gave him a 'don't be stupid' look when he asked if she was sure. "I'm not the kind to make an offer if I don' really mean it, buddy."

"Um...I'll just take water."
And still, he stood there nervous and unsure, though he did manage to close the door behind him. Still...he wasn't quite sure where he should be sitting, or what he should be doing, or anything like that.
Oh, and as a random note, even if I don't know how to type it...just imagine him speaking in that cute welsh accent.
Anyways, back to the main event. Him standing there awkwardly. And trying not to pay too much attention to her newly revealed curves. Uh huh, yeah, like that was gonna work. Hopefully she just wouldn't notice and take offense.

She didn't notice. In fact all she did was frown and shrug, filling his glass with some tap water (which only tasted a little like iron) and poured some likely stale coffee into another for herself. She took a moment to pour some milk and sugar into it before hooking her barefoot around a chair leg and dragging it out.
"Ya can sit here if ya want." She motioned to the seat with a nod, setting his glass of water down on it. "Ah... can't do too much if ya hungry though. Got bread, peanut butter, jelly... uh.. probably got some ramen, let me check." She took a gulp of her drink and set it down on the table, heading over to a small pantry and shuffling through it's contents. "Ya can sleep on the bed. I'll take a blanket an' pillow to the tub. Don' got any TV.. so uh.. not much to do but sleep."
She stood back with a frown. "Hm." She seemed to be out of Ramen. It seemed it was time to grit her teeth and go shopping tomorrow.

"The tub?!"
His shock at the idea was obvious, as he just gaped, and shook his head...actually seeming halfway firm. Nope, wasn't going to allow a girl to sleep in a tub. And he hadn't been thinking he'd be taking her bed here, either. That was just wrong, considering she probably didn't want him here in the first place really.
"No. Nuh-uh. I won't take your bed from you. I'll just, uh...think of something else..."
Of course, he had no idea as to what, really. Maybe he'd just sleep in his car, or try and find his way home, to not impose...

Pez scoweled, walking over to where Kai still stood. "Look, I ain't got no way to repay you but this, so just take the damn bed. I've slept in worse places than a bed, kay?" She took him by the shoulder and pushed him down onto the nest of blankets on the bed.
"It's not like it's dirty anyways... take off ya shoes, too! Geez, tracking all kinds of... trying to keep a place clean." Her voice became mumbled as she disappeared down a small hall. "If ya leave I'll chase you down and make you stay!"
Having him refuse her hospitality was taken more as an insult to her. It didn't exactly wound her pride but she was going to be bugged by that annoying little niggle in the back of her brain until she was able to repay this guy... Kai. Able to repay Kai for giving her a ride.
She shut the door to the bathroom and changed into pajamas which consisted of rather baggy cotton pants and large cotton shirt that swallowed any girlish figure that she might have shown previously. Dressed properly she exited, glaring around with her one good eye to see if he'd had the gall to leave.

"But...but I don't want to take your bed from you..."
That was all he really said, as he was pushed down and bossed around. After years of living with his mom, he listened to this new strong female presence almost without thinking, his shoes being taken off and set aside and everything. He even, while she was changing, went up to take a few swallows of the water before sitting back down again.
Thus, when she came out, he was sitting right where she'd left him, shoes off, and looking as nervous as ever. Though he still wasn't planning to give the bed fight up completely.
