*Aly turned her head at the sound of footsteps approaching. Panic continued to surge through her body at the thought of someone approaching. What if they are here to harm me? Aly thought. Without thinking Aly struggled to her feet and lunged at a tree. She had to get away any way possible. She managed, somehow, to attach her arms to a branch and helped herself to her feet. Her ankle roared with pain and Aly heard a scream that echoed through the trees. It took her a minute to realize that the scream she had heard was no from another person, or creature, but from her. She bit her lip as she held back the tears and slid to the forest floor. She knew in her heart that there was no way she would be able to get away from anything that came her way. She was finally able to give up hope and looked up. She noticed a girl standing some ways from her. She looked cautious and stayed away from her. Perhaps that she thought that Aly was a threat. She laughed at that thought, her a threat? She couldn't even get off the ground, let alone hurt anyone. She took a deep breath and looked at the stranger, there was only way to find out if she was a friend or foe* "W-Who are you?" Aly asked, her hands shaking with fear.

*Spirit studied this girl, it was clear that she was hurt and that she most likely could not do anything to hurt her and she relaxed. She took a step towards the girl, her tail flicking from side to side behind her and her golden eyes shinning in the light that escaped through the tree leaves. “Who am I? Um… that is a good question,” she said with a smile on her face, “my name is Spirit and may I ask your name? It is quite clear that you are hurt…” she saw the fear in the girl’s eyes and her shaking hands, “I’m not going to hurt you.” she opened her hands to show that she held no weapon, “can I help you in some way?” she asked, kneeling down beside her.*
*Aly looked down at her hands. She hadn't known that she was shaking until Spirit mentioned it. Now that she could pay more attention to herself, she noticed that her whole body was shaking with fear. This girl appeared friendly on the surface, but was she plotting some way to destroy Aly in her mind. Her body started to shake more with fear and her palms became sweaty. Don't listen to her! She could be dangerous! Her concience screamed in her mind. She ignored it. There was no way she could get away if this Spirit girl was evil. She was trapped here in the forest with a stranger that could hurt her. She wished that the part of her that hadn't give hope was her common sense. She could care less now what happened to her now. If she allowed this mysterious-obviously a demon- girl to help her, two things could happen: She could be killed or this girl would really help her. She sighed at the circumstances and closed her eyes. She said her goodbyes to family and friends that cared for her when she was hurt and desperately wished she had listened to her grandmother when she said to stay out of the forest and opened her eyes slowly, tears spilling over the surface. She bent her head down to try and cover them, but it was no use, she was starting to hyperventalate. She took deep breaths to try and calm herself and after a few minutes, she was able to calm herself down. Looking up at Spirit, her eyes dull, she nodded* "I would love some help," Aly replied warily," I'm Aly."

*Spirit stared at Aly wondering why in the world she was crying, was she really that hurt? She waited till Aly had started to calm down before she moved, and when she did move, she moved slowly, she still knew that Aly did not trust her and who wouldn’t? She was a demon after all. She reached into her pouch and pulled out a small container and handed it to Aly, “Here, this helps swelling and it will get rid some of the pain…not all of it of course, but it helps.” She put the container on the ground by Aly, “You don’t have to use it if you don’t trust me, it’s up to you.” She leaned her head against a tree and waited to see what Aly would do*

*Aly looked at Spirit suspiciously. She eyed her cautiously as she moved closer to her, but did not spook. She didn't want Spirit thinking that she was frightened by her presence, but she knew she had very little hope in thinking that Spirit did not notice her crying and shaking. Sighing, she watched as the demon girl placed the ointment on the ground in front of her. Many battles were racing in her head, but her face remained blank. She was trying to figure out whether to trust Spirit or not, was she really trying to be sincere? The bottle appeared to be harmless enough but, it could be a trap. Aly winced in pain and broke her blank expression when a new wave of pain scurried up her leg and down. The pain was unbearable and if Spirit said that this bottle would help with the pain, then she needed to believe her. She was willing to put her hands into a demon if it meant stopping the pain that invaded her body. Snatching the bottle from the ground, Aly used it to stop the bruising and eventually, it subsided some of the pain. She sighed with relief when she was able to touch her ankle and examine it without as much pain as she suffered before. Her suspicions were correct about her ankle, it was broken. There was no way she would be able to get home any time soon, much less walk. She looked at Spirit and found herself surprised to see that she was actually trusting the demon girl a little. She knew that it was very thin and one simple word or action could break that trust that was there, but for now, she might have someone who would be able to help her.* "Thank you," Aly replied softly," Can I ask you one question though? How... Did you know where to find me?"

*Spirit watched closely as Aly picked up her bottle and used it on her ankle, she smiled to see her starting to trust her; even thou she knew that the trust they had just made could be broken with the thinnest of strings. When she could tell that Aly was felling the effects of the ointment she searched around her and found two sticks about the right sizes and picked them up. After that she went back into her pouch and pulled out a ball of material, she was unraveling it when Aly spoke again and she lifted head to look at her, “It was not hard…” she began, “I was resting and I heard you scream, or at least I’m pretty sure it was you, and well I just followed where the sound came from and poof, you showed up.” She had finished unraveling the material and had ripped off a long piece of it, “May I?” she asked gesturing towards Aly’s hurt ankle with her materials.*

*A girl around the age of 15, pail with white hair, who had been sitting in a near by tree watching the whole conversation chuckled loudly over the conversation Spirit and Aly had been having together. Anime jumped out of the tree and landed gracefully on her feet making no noise as she hit the ground, her long white hair falling at her sides. She gestured to the anckel, smirked and said, "What happend there I did not see the whole thing,"Anime sat on a rock studying them and waiting for their answer with a smug look on her face*

*Aly looked at Spirit suspiciously as she pulled out supplies. It surprised her to find that she was not at all frightened at what Spirit was doing and found herself trusting her more and more every minute that passed. She was pleased that it was Spirit who found her and not some other creature that lurked in the forest, after all Spirit seemed friendly enough. Her ankle started to numb at the pain and soon she found that she could feel no more. The remedy seemed to take immediate effect and somehow stop or numb the pain that she felt. She was relieved for that. She listened intently as Spirit explained how she had come to find Aly and nodded slowly after its conclusion. The story seemed simple enough and there was no way for her to find any fault in it. Spirit seemed to be telling the truth and if she were telling a lie, Aly would know soon enough. The demon girl that had found her had given her strength and her will to find a way back home again. When Aly thought all was loss, she had completely given up and had said her goodbyes. Now she knew that Spirit might be able to help her get home, although the journey that lied ahead most likely would not be an easy one. When Spirit stepped closer to her and asked her permission to do something to her leg, Aly nodded. She needed to get better in order to find a way home* “Of course.” Aly replied lightly. She was just getting use to the idea of having a demon companion to help her when she heard another voice coming from behind. Her body became stiff and she turned her head to gaze at the voice that came behind Spirit. Eyes wide with fear, she looked toward Spirit to see if she knew the stranger.*

*Spirit smiled at Aly, she had seemed to believe her which was good since most people would never even think to believe the word of a demon. At Aly’s approval she moved over to her hurt ankle and placed the two sticks on either side of her foot, when both sticks were in the right position she tied the piece of cloth tightly around the sticks to hold them in place. After she was done she looked up at Aly and found her staring at something behind her, she pushed her hair away from her face and looked over her shoulder. She kept her face emotionless as she studied this stranger, slowly she stood up facing the new comer, she let her hands fall to her sides and in the same movement one of her hands slipped into her pouch and landed lightly on the edges of her book. “I suppose if you were paying attention you would have the main idea of what has happened so why ask?” she spoke without any emotion and her golden never left the girl’s.*

*Anime smiled at the strange girls,"Well I suppose you're right if I was truley paying attention I would have known what was going on along with what your names are...by the way my name is Anime but my friends call me Anie."Anime studies the girld expressions and then continued,"I am very sorry if I sounded a bit rude back there, by the way what are your names?" She asked keeping her voice steady."where are you two headed maby I could tag along because I have no where to go really..."Anime stood there motionless for a wile, waiting for there response then decided to comfort them first,"do you wan't to know anything about me first?" Anie Asked with a gentle tone. Anie waited patiently for them to reply*

*A pain shot through Aly like a bolt of lightning. It surprised her, Spirit was very gentle at what she was doing and caused not an inch of pain while she tended to her ankle. Her eyes curious, yet frightened at the same time, gazed around her surroundings. Nothing was touching or poking her, there seemed to be nothing harming her, and if there was, she trusted Spirit to help her. Puzzled, she tried to bring hands to her face when she noticed that they were clutching something. She gawked at her hand, her knuckles where white and they seemed to be frozen in place, clutching her dress. She was able to comprehend why there were doing this. This new girl -Anime- reminded her of the terror and heartbreaking events that occurred when she was younger. Two strangers who were unmistakably beautiful and never appeared to age destroyed her village. Tears streamed down her face as she remembered the terrifying night that changed her life forever. Flashbacks of the incident flashed in her mind and she tried to stop thinking about it. She could see each victim that the strangers devoured. Family, friends, neighbours that she knew that were now lost. Only her and her grandmother were able to come out with their lives. The display started to become so vivid that Aly began to scream. She thrashed and her arms flew around her, as her eyes closed. Tears streamed down her face and she wished that she would just forget about it. She tried desperately to find anything to hold, though her eyes were closed, she seemed to find one thing, Spirit’s hand. Aly’s eyes flew open and they gawked at Spirit. Aly’s body shook with terror and Anime’s voice caused her to jump. She swallowed hard and tried to control her emotions. Nothing would harm her, Aly told herself over and over again. Eventually, she was able to believe herself. She couldn’t understand what had happened. She had always thought that she was able to get over the event and now she found out that she had only suppressed the memory. She met Anime’s gaze evenly and then looked away. Perhaps Anime was not one of the people who had destroyed her village, but she reminded her of something. Her aura or maybe what she was, seeing how she wasn’t human, caused her to remember those memories. She shook her head at the thought and looked at Anime once again. She had to face her fears, she needed to* “I-I’m Aly.” Aly introduced herself, her voice shaking. *

She didn’t know what was wrong, she could see that Aly was frightened and she also saw some pain in her eyes, “Clam down Aly, its ok. Is something wrong? Does your leg hurt?” Spirit was surprised to find out that she was actually concerned about Aly, she had only just met she girl a couple of minutes ago and now she was worrying about her. She did understand why Aly had trusted her, most people ran at the sight of her, either that or try to kill her, and she usually did not help anyone because of the way people treated her. Why did she get up to go help when she heard Aly’s scream? The more she thought about it the more she didn’t understand, she would have never done that before. But also along with these thoughts she found that she was glad she did go, this one person was the first to not try to kill her or run in fear…although Aly was not able to run, but still the thought made her happy. Clearing her mind she looked at Aly with clam eyes, “you’re fine, just relax.” She smiled then she turned sharply at Anime and the smile turned into a glare, “What do you want?” she asked harshly, her cat tail flicking angrily behind her.*

*Anime studied Aly's face for awhile as she quickly ran to her side because of the fearful scream she had just heard from Aly. Anime could tell she was frightened of her so she quickly reassured her that she meant no harm and that she just wanted to help her."Aly, I am serious. I mean no harm, if you don't believe me you can just ask any question you wan't to know about me....do you think I am dangerous?"Anime looked at her in an understanding way hoping that she would give her an answer. I think that she is scared of my kind she must have been hurt at some time in her life by one of us.*Anime waited calmly for Aly and Spirit's response to her questions*

*Spirit was staring at Anime when she felt someone grabbed her arm, looking down she saw Aly’s tight hold on Spirit’s arm along with the side of her dress. She quickly bent down and grabbing hold of Aly’s shoulders she held her still, her grip was not tight but it was firm.

*Anime glared, not in a mean way but in an intense way at Spirit for a long moment wile she gatherd her thoughts."I didn't mean to sound...well....so mean earlier I just had my guard up I could tell that you were a little defensive at the moment. I really mean no harm to either of you."Anime glanced at both of them one at a time with a caring look, though Anime couldn't understand why; she never had to explain her self to anyone else before, why should she start now?Anime thought for a moment and then replied again as if to reasure both of them."I think that Aly is in pain because she has been hurt by one or more of my kind before now I cannot help that she is so frightend of me so why are you so mad at me?"Anime then noticed that Spirits eyes had become suddenly very cold just as hers had when she first talked to them.*

*A tight grip on her shoulder and Spirit’s fierce voice jolted Aly out of the dark memories that invaded her mind. Dazed and disoriented, she gawked at her and then her head whipped around to stare at Anime. Terror flooded into her eyes as she remembered the two mysterious men. She shook her head at that thought; the last thing she wanted was to go into hysterics. She forced herself to take deep breaths while Spirit and Anime bickered. It was true, Aly had dreadful memories of people much like Anime and she could not bare it if the same thing happened again. The thought of Spirit, and even though she couldn’t understand why she valued her friendship so much, motionless on the floor, white and cold, almost sent Aly back into hysterics. Spirit had helped her with her ankle and had given her a friendship to value after she was alone and isolated for so many years. The day that she found out that the only people who survived the attack were she and her grandmother. From that day on, her grandmother promised to think of her as dead and never said another word to her. Aly was left alone in the world with no one to care for and no one to care for her. She often cried herself to sleep at night, begging for some company. Now, five years later, her prayers were answered. Although Spirit had only been her friend for a short period of time, she felt that it was her duty to inform her of the terrifying circumstances that had occurred. The young girl who stood in front of her was one of the creatures that had obliterated her village. Her eyes were filled with hate and terror, while her face remained expressionless and her body shook.* “How do I know that you are not going to hurt us?” Aly questioned, her voice quivering. *

Why was she mad at her, for all she knew this was just another girl who had somehow found her way into her life. She let out a small sigh and then slowly removed her hands from Aly’s shoulders, and in the same motion she stood up and took a small step to the side, what am I doing? The voice asked inside her head, this is not me, this is not me. She put a hand over her eyes and as soon as she had eyes closed memories flashed back into her head, memories that she had locked up so long ago, why were they coming back to her now? The sting of a stone as it hit her flesh felt so real it was as if she was back at the moment, and then before it could go any further she pushed it back, as far away as she could get it. She took her hand away from her face and opened her eyes again, the sun hurt as it hit her eyes, it seemed to her that she had not seen it for hours, but in reality it had been barley over a minute. Reaching into her pouch she took out her small book and held it in her hand, she didn’t know if she was actually going to use it, but even if she didn’t it still felt good to have it close to her. She let out anther sigh and refocused on Aly and Anime, let the past be the past, whatever was going to happen was unknown and the past would not change a thing. “Yes, I would really like to know how it is we can know that you will not harm anyone?” she asked, restating what Aly had just said.*

"If you thought that I was really dangerous you would have attacked me by now woulden't you? Only a person who knows me would be able to determine the way I act, and since there is no one still living in this world who knows me that well, then you can not say that. And about my book,” she paused for a moment as her fingers traced the very detailed cover, “you should not talk about things that you do not understand.” She said in an even hasher voice, “If you wish to help,” she began again, back to her normal tone, “then you would have to ask Aly, since it was her who was trying to help in the first place.” She turned towards Aly, “if you want this person to assist you that is up to you. As for me, if you trust me and want my help I will give it, if not then I will go my own way.” She stopped and waited for Aly’s answer.*

*Anime looked a little hurt for she, once again, was being judged based on what she looked like and because of what type or creature she was! Her eyes went cold and dark instead of the golden color that they normaly were. "Look I would not hurt anyone because I have been resisting my thirst for humans for a long time, I even live with them. I hunt only animals that are over populated in cretian areas. I mean no harm to you." She stared at the fear and hatred that lied in Aly's eyes not knowing why she had judged her in such a baised way without knowing her very well....."Please, please believe me I mean no harm, I just wan't to help you two." She looked at Spirit a long moment and then continued trying to relax her voice a little but still having a hard time. "If you thought that I was really dangerous you would have attacked me by now woulden't you? That could only mean that you don't think that I am all that bad...or you ar looking in that book for a wat to hurt me..am I right?" Anime's eyes saddend at the thought of this.*

*Spirit continued her glare at Anime, ready to react if anything were to happen, “If I do not know you, then you would not know me, and if that is true then what makes you say I would have attacked you by now if I thought you were dangerous.

*Aly's eyes flickered from face to face. Even though she felt frightened and uncertain of the path that lied ahead, she kept her face blank and unreadable. She took in each person's persona and there deeds. Spirit, a demon girl, who was unsure of the reason why she had came and helped Aly, had earned even more of her trust. It was very uncommon for her to be able to trust anyone after the nightmare that had occurred years ago, and even though she barely knew Spirit, she did not wish for her to leave. The thought of her alone in the world made shivers run up her spine. Next, she eyed Anime, very closely. She didn't know her very well and something about the girl seem to tug on the memories of that fateful night so many years ago. She knew that Anime was not human and although she was unsure of what she really was - it was obvious to her that she wasn't human- she knew that what she had said was true, for the most part. If she really did want to hurt her or Spirit, she could have done it while the were unsuspicious and unaware of her presence. Instead, she had introduced herself and informed them that she wasn't dangerous. Still, there were many reasons to stay suspicious. Perhaps this Anime girl could sense that Spirit was more powerful then her and if she attacked, she could get herself hurt. Aly's head spinned in confusion. She wasn't sure what to do and the more she thought about it, the more of a headache she got. Sighing, she returned her attention to Spirit and Anime. * " No," Aly cried out, " Spirit, I do not wish for you to leave, I still very much need your help, if you don't mind. As for you Anime, what you say does make sense but it doesn't mean that you still don't mean us any harm. If Spirit allows, for I trust her more because I have known her longer, you can stay. Before Spirit answers though, I am curious, what are you? I know that you are not human. " Aly stared at Anime curious, waiting for her answer, this was a crucial test for her and the outcome will help her decided whether or not to allow the girl to stay in her presence. *

*Spirit continued to glare at Anime, but she said nothing, what Anime had said stunned her for some reason. Why was she mad at her, for all she knew this was just another girl who had somehow found her way into her life. She let out a small sigh and then slowly removed her hands from Aly’s shoulders, and in the same motion she stood up and took a small step to the side, what am I doing? *Anime looked at Aly curiously as she studied her face with great intent. Anime was curious as to how Aly knew that she was not in fact, human. Anime thought of her answer very carefully so that she would not frighten either of them. “Your right I am not human I am a….. Vampire as you humans would call it. I am not dangerous though to you because I have been putting off my thirst for such a long time, I only feed on animals because I do not like what we vampires do. I can run incredibly fast, I am hard as rock and I look appealing to my prey, which would usually be humans. I can also read minds. I have gotten good at tuning things out though. You see I would never harm you I have lived with humans for decades. Please don’t fear me.” Anime studied Spirit and Aly’s faces carefully. Then she waited for their replies.*
