It's mostly a cultural thing. One'd be able to say "I'm lost" in a more direct term, "na kladat-maxvanatš ši je," which translates to "I don't know where I am," but if you say that you're saying that you don't know and apparently don't WANT to know because you're not asking. mad D They hate ignorance, especially intentional ignorance. It's much better to ask.

Because if they get lost, they consider their brains to be malfunctioning, and not an error of theri own.
