Where the Red Fern Grows was a horrible book to make a bunch of elementary kids read in school. I cried.

My current obsession book-wise is Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. Anybody read that?

That just reminded me. Two more bloody awesome books:
The Tribune by Patrick Larkin and Corpse: Nature, Forensics, And The Struggle To Pinpoint Time of Death. Yesh...I'm a forensics nut. Not about CSI though. That show is lies...all of it. Patricia Cornwell and a bunch of forensic anthropologists agree. If they used those techniques to figure out muders, a bunch of innocents would be in jail right now with murderers still on the prowl. On another note...The Kathy Reichs novels are le awesome as well. READ THEM. mad domokun heart

Hehehe! If you are older than eight I think you can control your emotions easily with the book. I know I was like eight when I read it and I cried like all night.

Like, OMG. I read that too. I'm waiting on the third in the series...Eclipse. New Moon made me depressed for like a month after I read it.

You know what you should also start reading? "A Great and Terrible Beauty" by Libba Bray. Really random, I know, but I bought that wth Twilight and loved them both in contrast...sorta. They're both great series'.

OHOH, books I Mclove? Umm...soooo many. I love reading...it's how I get by in life. Honestly, fiction makes WAY more sense than reality.

Recent Obsessions: Twilight series (Meyer), A Great and Terrible Beauty series (Bray), Bridget Jones' Diary

Older, much more respectable Suggestions: Fire & Hemlock (Diana Wynne Jones), HP series, The Hobbit (Tolkien), Shogun (James Clavell-for advanced readers, though), The Merlin Conspiracy (DWJ), Stones (Bell), Jane Eyre (Bronte), Pride and Prejudice (Austen), Wuthering Heights (Bronte), The Da Vinci Code (Brown), After Hamlin (?)...

I can't remember any others.

I'm about to read Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre. After reading a book called Crossing Jordan for sixth grade, I bought it, lost it and then borrowed the teacher's version. I'm going to attempt to finish it this time. 3nodding

My favorite book would probably have to be Stargirl. It's been a while since I read it, but when did, it really caught my attention. I loved how Stargirl still could be herself, even when she was teased constantly about how she looked and talked. Still there was one guy who kept and eye out for her. I was sad when she left out of no where and left him there, but, it's a still a great book to me. ^^

Very, very good book. If you're into classics. Otherwise it's a bore xD.

But I love the Bronte sisters, so I had no problems reading their stuff.

I've seen Stargirl at bookstores really often. I've been meaning to read it, but I always forget to get it from the library Dx...

OMG.

I absolutely LOVE Twilight and New Moon. <33 Its just so amazing.. After I finished New Moon I couldn't find a book in my school library that’s worth reading (still I am searching for a book).

Does anyone know a book that is similar to Twilight? xP Or how about some one that loved Twilight and loved another book as well?

I'll check out "A Great and Terrible Beauty" since you loved it as well, Ciara.

I'm going to look up quite a few of these books actually, I am starving for a good book. ;-;

Chaos: >.<'' I'm glad you'll check it out. It's based in the Victorian age and has nothing to do with vampires. <3 But it's so girl-power and stuff. Dx Good read. Makes me squee.

If you're looking for vampire books, there are A LOT. I would suggest Anne Rice books before her most recent one. =.='' Her writing gets boring sometimes though. Read stuff by **Amelia Atwater-Rhodes**...she doesn't have much, but they're VERY good for a young writer. Demon in my View and Shattered Mirror are my favess<333

My Sister's Keeper was awesome and I had the same problem when I finished it. I couldn't find a darned book worth reading. It is one of the most awesome, if not the most awesome book I have ever laid eyes on.
The author is Jodi Picoult. 3nodding And I read a bit of her other books, but none of them can touch this one. It's on a whole other level.

I'll Just say a very important character in the story will cause you to feel a little sadness at the end. I'm not giving away any more than that. 3nodding
