Eh, there was something terribly wrong with talking about your family with someone you didn't like-or rather didn't like you. Epesi stood there and stared for a moment, pondering whether or not she should respond. Well, it was out of politeness and the fact that she didn't want to tick off Tiffany again that the small mare did reply.
"There are six of us. I've only met Riley and Toquah'kan, who were born the same time as I. Bairn, Artemis and Aruna are my older siblings." The small mare pondered something else, was Tiffany giving her sympathy? If so, well then she continued. "Even Riely and Toquah'kan are more better looking than I, although Bairn stole all the handsome looks. I'm the ugliest one."
Indeed, things were going pretty well. That stupid stuck up mare was falling for her trick, which to Epesi was a stupid trick and she hardly believed that it had worked. Somewhat.
Already had a servent? What poor creature would agree to want to help her out? What poor creature would even agree to be her friend? Ah! Idiot! Epesi blinked, trying to comprehend that. Was Tiffany lying? Or was she serious? "You don't need me then." She said calmly, still very confused.
"Well, I don't need you to forgive me, I don't. But if you could find it in the goodness of your heart to, I'd like that." Epesi almost laughed. Aha! What a stupid statement. Would the mare fall for it?

"Well that is too bad. Why didn't you just get born first then and get all the beauty?" she asked, geuninly suggesting such a thing. Tiffany belived that anyone would be pretty if they wanted to, but most people were just too stupid to do it.
"Well clearly you are the ugliest in your family. Maybe there is hope for your faimly yet, then. Although if you are any indication, I wouldn't get my hopes up" she said, meaning for it to be a compliment. At least on Tifffany's level.
It was true, she had gotten a servant named Yiska. He wasn't the brightest in the world, but he certainly listened to her and did what she said. It made things so much easier to have a stallion tending to her needs, even if he was a bit dim-witted.
"I could always use two" she reply, wholey serious. Maybe one could groom her tail while the other did her mane! No, she wouldn't trust either of them with her mane, because that was a delicate procedure that requred someone who really know what she or he was doing.
She paused. Goodness in her heart? Haha. Yea right. "NO. I told you already, you ugly little brat. Are you deaf? You are lucky I am even considering forgiving you! So leave and I will forgive you. Maybe. In a few weeks" she repeated herself.

There was something terribly wrong with the way Tiffany worded herself. She hardly seemed to be making much sense anymore, although perahps Epesi wasn't from the start. Makign sense wasn't her strong point, but talking and getting her point across, was. It made the small mare smile though, perhaps she was getting the advantage finally. "Because that's close to...no wait IS impossible, stupid. I cannot choose when to be born."
And she could hardly take it anymore. That mare kept going on about beauty...that honestly shouldn't matter to anyone. Appearance, if you were true to yourself, should be a lot important than other things. If a stallion wanted to like Tiffany because she was 'gorgeous' well then fine, he wasn't worth it. "My family is not ugly. I'll bet if you meet my brother Bairn you'll fall in love with his looks." She giggled under her breath. There was no way of telling whether or not Tiffany would like him because Epesi herself never saw him. But it would be amusing.
"I don't want or need to be your servent. So bug off." The small mare said in a sweet voice. "I'm not deaf, and I'm totally smart. If it takes you a few weeks to-" She never got to finish her sentence because something off in the distance was coming their way.
God! Those voices! Annoying, more annoying than Bliss and that was definitely saying something. Two mares, obviously, shouting at eachother. A fight, perhaps...but not one he wanted to get involved with.
No, rather Bairn only showed up on the scene to shut the two of them up, unaware that the smaller one was his sister. So running up to the bickering two, the striking stallion snorted.
"Excuse me, ladies but I do apprechiate it if you'd keep your voices down." Dark brown eyes first glanced at Tiffany. A pretty mare for sure. She really knew how to keep her appearance in order. Good thing, because the other mare didn't exactly seem like she cared. "I didn't really catch any of your fighting, but do please, m'ladies." He bowed to Tiffany and then to Epesi. "Have some respect to those in this area. You never know who might be sleeping."

((Ahahaha! In comes Bairn! Now things get interesting. XD))
Tiffany glared at the younger mare, although both looked to not have too much of an age difference. In yet, somehow she felt so much more mature then the other. Had she not grown out of her foalish ways, had she never learned how to be a Lady?
"Your family IS ugly she said. And you are so WEIRD. I don't think I woudl fall in love with Bair...Bairn, or whatever. Because I am sure he is just as disgusting looking as you" she said, straightening up her neck so she was at her full height.
"Why wouldn't you want to be my servent? Honestly, you mares are completely stupid. I give you a chance to improve yourself, out of the goodness in my huge, wonderful heart, and you......you.." she looked over at the stallion.
"See! See! This...beast of a creature. She woke me up! And then I tried to help her with her looks because I am so nice, I wanted to give her a makeover! And she kept yelling, and yelling..and...and" Tiffany put on her act as a victim. If anything would piss off the other mare, it would be Tiffany getting another to be on her side.

She watched as the other mare glared at her. No, it wasn't because she didn't grow out of her foalish ways that Tiffany was much more mature, it was just the simple fact that she chose to act like that. Of course, her mother was the same way and her mother was much more mature than this mare would ever be.
"Wierd? Well, that's new thanks for the compliment." She spat, glaring in return. "And I never told you to fall in love with Bairn, I only just said you'd think he was good looking." Now that Tiffany stood taller, Epesi suddently felt smaller. A lot smaller.
"Because I'm not the servent type. I don't live to please others. Improve? Like I actually need that." Epesi was somewhat glad of the new stallion's appearance. Highly likely that he'd side with Tiffany.
Bairn grinned, yes that fancy haired mare was VERY pretty, so much more than a lot of mare's he'd seen in a while...of course not as good as Astia. "Well, Miss perhaps she's just sticking up for herself." He spat sort of like she was before, and it wasn't an idiot. Pretty or not, this mare was up to something.
That's when the tanned stallion stole a glance at Epesi. She wasn't terrible looking at all. In fact, she reminded him or someone...
He blinked and shook that out of his head. Turning back to Tiffany, he smiled. He was going to play her game for a while, whatever game she was playing. For the orange mare didn't speak, she only stared. Somehow...no. She wasn't the bad guy.
"As well as it isn't nice to wake someone up, perhaps she didn't mean it?"

Tiffany glanced at Epesi, giving her the coldest glare she could. Stupid little brat, she would NOT get away with such a feloney as this. Who even knew how long it would take Tiffany to fall asleep at this point? If it were not for this twirp, she would be asleep right now.
"It was NOT a compliment. You...you.." if she wanted to get this stallion on her side, she would have to let up on the insults. Or telling the truth, as Tiff would put it. "You sweet darling. I know it is confusing when you are this mentally troubled. There there" said Tiffany in the most suger-coated tone possible.
"I don't know who this Bairn guy is, but darling, I doubt he is good looking at all. I mean, I havn't seen him, but clearly he is realate to you. And maybe you arn't HORRID looking, but standing next to me, belive me, you are a downright ugly" she snapped, forgetting her 'be nice' rule in front of the stallion.
"She did it on purpose!" said Tiffany, making her eyes wide and innocent. "She did! She saw me, just trying to sleep, and got jelous because I am so pretty. And so she woke me up and was loud, and called me names. I told her if she was jelous I would help her be pretty, but she just kept yelling and calling me names!" she whinned, doing her best to sound truthful. And she was a pretty good liar.
"And now she is confused, and trying to set me up with her brother, Bairn, or SOMETHING like that" said Tiffany, still a bit confused on that subject herself. "I guess she wants to bring my amazing genes into her rather...lacking family line, no?" she said, trying to become charming now, and laughing.

Wait. Bairn. Did both of them just say his name? Bairn? The orange mare's older brother? Epesi! Of course! Kan told him about her. Grinning, Bairn only knew now to play Tiffany's game even more. Being rude to the younger sister of a stallion such as himself was not the smartest thing. Walking over to stand on the brat of a pretty mare's side, the tanned stallion laughed.
"Well, my dear." He started, glancing at both of them. That was until she made the 'Bairn isn't good looking' comment and the stallion stopped. He was going to fix that statement for sure. "Me? What if I was Bairn? Would I be good looking enough for you?"
Then Bairn walked over to Epesi's side and stared at her. Taking in every single detail of his youngest sister. She was beautiful in every way possible. Looked very much like Mahiri, except for a few hints of Hania here and there. Dark brown eyes tore away from their staring and he leaned in to whisper. "Epesi, is it? Hello, little sister."
After that small comment, Bairn turned around yet again to face Tiffany. "Purpose? Aww, dearest why would an innocent mare such as this little one do something so horrid on purpose? You must be stretching the truth just a little bit." That mare's words were getting to him quickly and he wanted to lash out and make her wish she never messed with Epesi. But not just yet-he could tell she wasn't the brightest, and if she was anything like Bliss...playing a game with her mind wouldn't be that hard at all. Bairn, though had no idea how to respond to her words without being rude.
"Well, maybe you should try a nicer approach, instead of calling her ugly and the like. Try something along the lines of, 'Look, miss you're very attractive and all, but I think perhaps your mane is too curly. I think you should try straightening it a little. That'll bring out your features more.'" Bairn almost laughed at himself, winking at Epesi. Rediculous statement...but would it work?
Tiffany's comment about her family being ugly really sent Bairn over the edge. A growl escaped the stallion before he quickly caught himself. No, not yet...not yet.
Epesi just stared at Tiffany with hatred written in her eyes. She actually thought that Bairn was on her side too, that was until he came over and whispered what he did in her ear. So this guy was her brother, eh? She could have known, he was like a spitting image of father for God's sake. And he was nice. Just like Mom had said. "But sir, I didn't do it on purpose." She quickly said, not knowing that he was playing a game.
"I'm not ugly, either. I'm not." She spat...the small mare wanted to stick up for herself in front of her imfamous older brother. "You're not pretty, Tiffany and you'll never be because you're so stuck up. Sir, you don't actually believe her, do you?" Epesi said sweetly...trying her best to sound truthful, even though she knew that Bairn would believe her anyways.

Tiffany smirked at the mare as the stallion joined her, on her side. Tiffany's engenious, well thought out plan worked perfectly! Here he was and....oh? Looks like he was changing his mind. Stupid idiot, did he have any idea who he was dealing with? Does he KNOW who she is? The nerve of that jerk!
"No, you wouldn't be. Your fur is a disgusting color, your hair is unruley, and you are absolutly ugly, just like the rest of your family. Oh wait, I already said that, didn't I? Ah, no worries. Because it bears repeating. That family is disgusting. Are you one of them, hmm?" she said, immediatly snapping back to her normal personality. Why was everyone so darn rude to her?
Tiffany glared at the two. They had very little resemblences, besides little details. Could they be related, or had the stallion just made an idiotic comment? That certainly didn't seem to be behond him. Psh. Quiestioning Tiffany's angelic intentions, how DARE he?!?
"Of cousre she did it on perfect. That ugly little brat just ran in, all screamy and such, because she saw how pretty I was and got into a jelous rage, building up her anger until she thought of a stupid, sneaky idea, and now she has gone and turned YOU against me. Don't listen to her lies!" said Tiffany, glaring harshly at the two.
"And why in the WORLD would I say it like THAT. I shouldn't have to beat around the bush for those pathetic slops, or lie to them. If they are ugly, I will tell them that they are ugly. I shouldn't have to suger coat my words like other idiots do in order to make them happier. They can deal with it themselves" said Tiffany.
Why was everyone always trying to change her? The mare was quite content with the way she was. In fact, she was perfect. They MUST be jelous. Because who in the world would ever look at her and see anything other then perfection. "I am much prettier then you are, you dirty creature. I know you are jelous, but really. Must you take your anger out like that?" she hissed.

Her words, man this mare was going over the edge quicker than Bliss did a while back. She was so egotistical and 'perfect' it made Bairn want to hurt her, and he completely forgot about the 'nice guy' act he put on just moments ago.
"I AM Bairn, missy and don't you ever threaten my family like that again. They are more beautiful then one pathetic piece of hair in your mane because they have personality. And looks. You don't know beauty if it hit you from behind." He spat, getting all up in her face. The tanned stallion was much more larger than her and could easily intimidate her and he hoped he did just that. This Tiffany mare needed to get taught a serious lesson in not only respect, but manners.
"And since I am this 'ugly' stallion you speak of, m'lady...don't tell me my baby sister did anything to you on purpose. If she did happen to walk upon you and wake you up, she didn't mean harm by it. DON'T TELL ME SHE'S UGLY! DON'T TALK TO EPESI THAT WAY!" Bairn shouted, completely loosing his cool. There was no way he'd stick up for anyone in front of a Kalona, but Tiffany was different. She was no more powerful, dangerous or special then one inch of his hoof. Hyper, annoying and loud was a bad personality trait...but stuck up and bratty? Even worse. The stallion growled at the mare and said his last words to her before quieting down. "So I suppose since you can make nasty comments, I can too? Well in that case, your hair is pulled back to tight, makes you have a few wrinkles. And your coat is filthy. You have a spot of dirt, right there." He nudged her side. She didn't really...but perhaps that would piss her off to no end.
Epesi watched with scared little eyes as her brother exploded on the mare. She never meant for any of this to happen, it was only a simple stupid arguement, and now Bairn looked as though he was ready to kill Tiffany. Well, that's always what Mom said about his personality anyways. Overly protective. The small mare stood behind the tanned stallion and smirked at Tiffany, taking a chance to speak after Bairn was all done.
"See, Tiffany. That's what I was saying earlier. You just shouldn't judge a book by it's cover because some books will bite back."

Tiffany stood, unimpressed by the stallions outburst. Sure, he was bigger, and stronger. But she was better. The mare had only ever really run away from another stallion, and that was after she kicked him first. Plus, he had gotten dirt on her first. Doing that, who KNEW what HORRORS he could be capable of!
"Well, then I'm sorry that you were born into such an unfortunate family. Obviously there must be some kind of defect running in it, because you all seem a bit messed up. And I AM beautiful. Unlike some of you pathetic souls, I don't need people reminding me of my beauty constantly to know it exists. Although it helps. And you don't need to lie and say I am ugly, it just makes you look pathetic" she said, her voice even and even having a hint of perkiness. Sure, he was intimidating, but nothing Tiffany hadn't heard others say in the past in their jealous rages.
"She is ugly, ok? Deal with it" she said angrily. God, how stupid was this guy? Did he really think his pathetic little sister was pretty? Sure, she wasn't the ugliest thing she had ever seen. In fact, in some lights, Epesi might be seen as sort of ok looking. But she didn't take care of herself. Some mares, like Tiffany, spent HOURS every day making sure they were gorgeous, andthey made the ones that didn't bother look very, very shabby.
"And don't make up lies. Honestly, I've heard it all before" she hissed, now getting angry that he dared question her perfection. The mare quickly glanced at her side, seeing nothing. But how dare he touch her?!?! "And don't touch me again, you dirty bafoon. Honestly, stupidity AND ugliness are running strong in your family line" she said, getting frustrated with the two.
She looked at Epesi "Oh, so you talk, do you? Letting your older brother fight your battles because you can't? Guess what, sweety. Older brothers aren't always going to be around, and when they are gone, you are just being to be some pathetic mare that can't take care of herself. Oh wait, I think you're already there!"

Damn-it, he'd give her one thing at that was spirit. Negative or not, that mare really knew what was doing. Even after the loud voice he used, Tiffany didn't back down, normally any mare right in the head would give up and let Bairn take over. Ah, perhaps that was it. Tiffany just wasn't there in the head, like Bliss. No, worse then Bliss because she had an ego.
"I swear, mare you say one more nasty thing about my family and I will hurt you, I do not care how fragile you are...you can come and meet my Mother. She'd give you a piece of her mind worse than any Kalona can do. Don't think twice on that one either, my Mother can inflict the most pain anyone has ever gone through." And that wasn't a lie, either. Mahiri, she...was different. Hyper, happy, fun, annoying...but she had words that could hurt someone. That was it, the power of words, just like what Tiffany had. Of course, Mahiri's words weren't rude and horrid, they were sweet and danty, which would cause the one she was talking to do feel guilty and horrible.
The tanned stallion didn't speak much after that, he couldn't. There was nothing more to say. She had the personality of a stubborn fool, say one thing and she'd twist it to keep going back to the same subject of her 'beauty' and other's 'non beauty'. Dark brown eyes could only stare at her, in a way he hoped would make her quiet down if only for a moment. "Deary, I wouldn't provoke a stallion such as myself much farther then you're going already. True enough I'm calm and sane to not hurt you myself, but I know a lot of other soquili out there that wouldn't hesistate to rip your disgusting mouth out."
Like her brother, there was only one thing that could be done-stare. This was going on way to far, and if they weren't careful, someone could get hurt. Epesi didn't want to hurt Tiffany of course because she was only conceited and that wasn't a crime. Insulting others was just an excuse for making yourself feel better. Copper eyes glared at the cream colored mare and then she finally spoke up again.
"Bairn is protecting me, idiot. Something you'll never have another do for you. Shame, really. And you know, the dead protect me too, they're called out shields. Something you'll never feel. Stop this, Tiffany. Please, it's going too far..."
The small mare was close to tears, she wanted to run away and ball her eyes out, there was no need for any of this anymore, she had simply just accidently woken the wrong mare up...

Tiffany rolled her eyes. This guy REALLY had some ego. In fact, she didn't know how one stallion could possibly say he was so strong and what ever, or how great his family and mom and stuff were. She was allowed, she was perfect. These were totally different circumstances, he was ugly and disgusting and had no right to say such things.
"Just be quite you two. I don't care. I am sure you mother is weak annoying and ugly, just like you two are. Really, she produced you both, so I am sure your mother is even worst. Did she fall down or run into things a lot during her pregnancy, or pregnancies, or whatever? Because seriously, you two are messed"
Tiffany smiled pleasantly at the two. "I'm sorry if you were idiots and took offense in it. I mean, I'm just trying to help. Some people are just born ugly and unfortunate, and you two seem to have ended up like that. Maybe you could do society a favor and crawl into a cave or something and never ruin other's views? That would be nice" she said, her tone as if she was asking one of them to get something she dropped.
"Dead?" she asked, outwardly laughing. "dead? Yea, whatever. I don't want family, nor friends. They are nothing but hazards." she huffed, looking to the side. A squirrel jumped down from the tree, chattering and digging in the ground where Tiffany had wanted to sleep.
"Hey! That is MY spot!" she yelled, looking down. "Urg! This is ALL your fault!" she huffed, looking around. "I need to find a new spot now. You can have this place, just leave me alone, your whole stupid family" she hissed, marching off.

Bairn just glared. He didn't want to talk anymore but she wouldn't shut up. Stupid ignorant fool, she should meet Bliss. A small laugh came to him as he thought about that. Bliss and Tiffany? Oh joy that meeting would be lovely. A constant battle of no wits. He'd actually love to see them talk. "Say all you want, mare. What goes around comes around anyways. Ever hear that? If you call me ugly, you'll get ugly yourself."
The tanned stallion stood in his place, but turned his body around so he wasn't facing either of them, there was no point in being there anymore anyways. Her words just kept coming and he blocked the rest of them out while taking a few steps out of there. Although when Tiffany announced she was leaving, he laughed and called out to her.
"Good ridance, mare! Hope another comes along and walks you up again!" And with that, Bairn left his sister standing there all alone.
But first, Epesi had to get her say in. Tiffany insulted her first, then her siblings, and now her mother? Oh, no that wasn't fair. Her mother was gorgeous, no doubt about it. "I think the mare that birthed you was a complete dolt, Tiffany."
The small mare spat out, glaring like her brother did. "And maybe you could do society a favor and just die." She was about to say something else, but then the mare watched as the squirrel did what it did and she laughed. Good, that stupid mare deserved it!
"Buh-bye, Tiffany. See you later hopefully!" Epesi called out lovingly, watching the two walk away.
