I'd greatly appreciate any idea/concepts for souls! ^^

Also, a lot of the information has been changed. As I've mentioned before, Leet's soul is now an orange. I gave a reason to why I think that Obscure Data could work, although I'm sure I might get bashed to the ground for my thoughts on that subject. Yes, go ahead and laugh at me for thinking that there just might be a digital world out there like in .hack or digimon, it's as obscure as the idea of gods.

Bottled Hate's description has been changed and its pairing soul is uncertain, I put two more on the list despite the fact that I still like the dove more. Artic foxes and hares can change their fur color to desplay the temperatures which I could possibly put to my advantage in displaying the frei's current mood/personality.

And I gave a reason why I think Throne might be okay despite the fact that it is indeed another angel.

If you have commented before, or have yet to comment, please leave your thoughts in this thread. I love new ideas and a long discussion.

Actually, yes you can. D: The digital world isn't as mysterious as you're trying to make it out to be.

I think I mis-stated what I meant. The internet was started as some military networking system but soon spread to be more vast than can imagine but if you were to ask where the internet is now a days, you can't really say where. If I asked you to locate the internet, can you?

There was a person who called many telephone and networking systems in trying to "locate" the internet and could not. All there is is a bunch of hosts and you can buy a share of a hosted site but you can't really purchase and own the internet.

I don't quite know how to describe it but the idea is that what we see as creating the internet is really just utilizing what is already in existence and that is mathmatics and physics. I guess you could say that we created "The Internet" in the sense that we reshaped what was in existence and gave it a name.

It seems to make sense to me that there might be another world in existence before the creation of the internet or the computer. Something that was dictated by the physics and laws of binary numbers and that's where this idea came from. What we see may be a link to this other world or an imitation of this other world...it's really just a theory.

EDIT: By the way Mouse, thanks for responding ^^

No one person can own the internet... well, no one person can purchase and own Earth, either. The Internet is shared and not owned by one corporate entity in order to maintain its modern purpose for free exchange of information, even though large corporations are always trying to come up with ways they can have more influence over it. To reference Wikipedia again:

Quote:
The Internet and the World Wide Web are not one and the same. The Internet is a collection of interconnected computer networks, linked by copper wires, fiber-optic cables, wireless connections, etc. In contrast, the Web is a collection of interconnected documents and other resources, linked by hyperlinks and URLs. The World Wide Web is one of the services accessible via the Internet, along with various others including e-mail, file sharing, online gaming and others described below. However, "the Internet" and "the Web" are commonly used interchangeably in non-technical settings.

Just because it's complicated doesn't mean it's not comprehensible as a purely man-made entity. It's an insult to all the programmers and software / hardware engineers who got it where it is today to interpret it as some alternate dimension we suddenly got access to by plugging a cord into a wall.

We can go into technical terms. The difference between the Earth and the World Wide Web is the fact that there is some sort of substance and we can say that the Earth is indeed there. You can't touch a webspace online and say that it's there. It's an illusion of a reality, sort of like a painting. You see it but you can't touch it.

I didn't say that The Web cannot be purely man-made. I said that there is a possibility that it isn't (note all the mights and theory assumptions). I fail to see it as an insult to software/hardware engineers, I am a programmer myself. I see that the libraries sets that programmers use are passed down from people before hand, but there are laws in place that allows even simple programs to function properly. Why does 1+1=2? Because there is some sort of base mathematical system in place. There is a set of laws for gravity to occur. There are certain things not created by man that allows man-made objects to work. That is the possibilility that there are forces behind technology.

Just because there is a portion of The Web contained and occupied doesn't mean that the whole thing is completely controlled. What if there was some sort of space not able to be modified by code but is still in existence? What if there was something in place before engineers created the first computer? I'm not saying that what we see and use today is the work of some other dimension, I saying that it could be a door into something already in existence. And I've got as much proof that this world exists as there are gods, in other words, none. It's a theory, something I cooked up from all the science fiction and fantasy books I've read. I can argue that there might be another world as you can argue against it because neither of us has proof that it exists or doesn't exist.

Bottled Hate gained a second description. Also, Throne and Obscure Data has gained a bit more description for clarification, they're all in ( ).

Mouse, could you critic the description of Bottled Hate now? I based it off of your idea ^^ also, feel free to continue our previous discussion.

While it's nice to see your fighting for you ideas and really sticking behind them Nychii, obscure data isn't going to work. Period. It's a man-made object and no matter how much you fight with Mouse, Kyou isn't going to allow it because it is against the rules so I would just scratch it out and try some new ideas.

Okay, I'll take it out, it was an idea that I thought I might be able to work through the loop holes. But if everyone is so against it, I'll take it out completely. It was worth the discussions though, thanks again Mouse. ^^

I was thinking over your Obscure Data essence idea, partly because I'm fond of the idea of a computers/data/technology-related essence. If you're still up for something of that nature, but not necessarily what you had, here is an idea:

How about the Storm that created all the essences altered something by pulling a piece of technology from the future? So, maybe there was a mushroom cap that has an underside that nobody really figured was amazing until Dr. Kyou accidentally discovered it was readable by CD-ROM. Maybe there is a small animal's bone that has circuitry laced onto it, making it a useful replacement for a computer motherboard. Maybe, even, there is a tree where the underside of the bark displays a flowing code of zeros and ones which only a skilled computer programmer can translate. I wouldn't actually use bark, since I believe someone else is using a bark essence, but those are just examples. I really like all of your ideas, though. I just hated to see the Obscure Data get trashed, especially if you're using an orange for a soul. biggrin
Though, if Kyou still considers it a man-made object, it won't work.
