`ShivA Just a little thing. I was thinking of using the soul of Death (/The Grim) too, but I realized- if it is used for a raevan, then how will people die? Also think about the powers of the raevan. The ability to kill people just like that....
It sounds cool, yeah. It just doesn't seem like a smart soul to choose, but thats just my opinion. Hmm, you have a point...but I sorta wasn't thinking straight when I changed it (it was the day I sorta completely changed my old conept). After a few hours though, I thought about something: Who fills in for the Grim Reaper when it can't do its duties? I knew back then that I couldn't really get the Grim Reaper (I mean, like you said, who would escort the dead?), so I thought of using what could be called "The Replacement" (still need to come up with a name for it). I don't know if I'm able to make up my own soul (an original soul, not one from a myth or belief), but if I'm not, then I'll just find a new soul to work with. But hopefully it won't come to that. Anyway, thank you so much for your critique, Shiva. It's very helpful and it tells me that you read my concept ^^

Hmm...I think I need to change that soul again. A replacement grim reaper seems out of place.
Soul Requirements (in my opinion):
-Something cheerful, to drive Rhinn up a wall. Nah, Rhinn despises things that have too much directed energy. Might try to do something bad to it >_<
-Hermaphrodite as a gender. I have too many female characters, and playing a guy would get me confused.
-Brave enough to tell Rhinn what's-what, yet timid enough to give into Demetrius's lovey attitudes.
Possible Souls (Part 2):
-Spider
-Necromancer
-Harpy (Dunno. I sorta like the spider sould more. Must do more research on it)
-Owl (not really evil, but it's bad luck to see one in daylight)

:3 The spider sounds cool. For some reason, an idea for the raevan popped into my head: that her skin/hands are able to become sticky. but thats very spidermannish. sweatdrop

As for the Spider soul, I actually thought about using the spider soul since they are so very facinating, but as an arachnophobic I have a hard time reading up on them and not getting scared. u__u;;; *is pathetic* Still there are so many things that you can do with the soul of a spider so I am highly supportive of this soul! 8D Also, appearance wise there are some interesting designs that can be incorporated into the "look" of the raevan.

I second the motion. (on arachnophobic.) Also it is interesting that the concept for the essence is life and yet spiders are known to move in when the dead have been around. Dark... Creepy places. In fact there was an interesting legened about the spider. (Not directly with death per se...) Something about the cosmos and a giant mother spider spinning the threads of fate and life intwined. She was also responsible for cutting certain ones. A rather play upon the three witches of (don't quote me on this since I'm rusty) greek legend. It works a lot better than the cut and dry black and white going on there. Some things are not totally black or white.

@ ShivA: Believe me, I was very tempted to make sticky hands an ability. But, yeah, it seemed sorta spiderman-ish to me xD So instead of sticky hands, I just gave her sticky fingers (I mean, where ELSE would the spider silk come from? ...wait, don't answer that. I don't wanna know o_O)
@Ro-Chan: Actually, I'm terrified of spiders, but hopefully, by doing this, I can sorta get over it sweatdrop Thank you for your support ^^
@Revanica: A balance between a seed that grows life and a creature that eats (suck the life out of) the dead, to me, that screams "challengin" ^^ And do you mean the Furies (or were they the Fates, could never remebber)!

Ha! I've found a solution to my gender problem. Attilyn is now a *deep breath* Psuedohermaphrodite! *exhales*
It means Atti will have the internal reporductive organs of a man, but have a feminine appearence on the outside. It works for me because I don't have to worry about whether or not I'm RPing a girl or a boy.
EDIT: And so I don't have to complicate myself any further, Attilyn's sexuality will just be asexual @_@

Not understanding on the whole 'psuedo' part... I mean is Atti going to be a fully functional male? Just really looks like a girl as in also having breasts? Or are you going for an androgynous idea where there is no obvious signs of genitaila but seemingly more of a femme outlook? (Has heard about 'ingrown equipment' but an extremely rare occurance, or when for all aspects was a female but grows testes yet not the p***s.)

Well another name for the pseudohermaphrodite is "false hermaphrodite". In dictionary.com, one of the definitons for that big ol' word is: someone having external genitalia of one sex and internal sex organs of the other sex; not a true hermaphrodite because there is no ambiguity in the sex of the external genitalia and hence no question about gender at birth.
Anyway, I think the only trouble I'm having is choosing a gender *so lame*. Maybe I should just make her femenine-looking androgynous. That would be even less confusing that before.
Atti: *has went from being a girl, to a guy, to a hermaphrodite, to a pseudohermaphrodite* I think I've had too many sex changes for a concept @_@ Pick a gender, and stay with it D< *bares fangs at Yume*

@RoChan: Yeah, one would make a back widow spider not only because spiders are typically seen as females, but because of the way they eat, which is referred to as "sexual canibalism". This means that the black widow kills and eats the male widow after he leaves his "stuff" (so to say).
Atti: But of course, she just has to be diffcult and confusing. Which leads up to the (still current) gender problem -___-
Right. So, either I make Atti a pseudohermaphrodite or just turn her into an androgynous.

Hi. So yeah, I know you've been having problems with choosing a gender for your concept raevan, so I just thought I'd comment on it some. To me, it seems there are a lot of male raevans already, so having a female one could help to pull away from the flock so to speak. BUT, you don't necessarily have to go that route either. Remember, Sevilin is a guy but looks really girly, so you could make your raevan a guy like that. It could prove interesting and Sev will have someone to bond with on that issue. They could end up good friends. mrgreen So yeah, that's all I wanted to say right now. I hope to see your raevan someday!
