[Enter- Rhiko]

Rhiko caught up with Karite, only moments before he gave his, 'disclaimer'. The creatures that appeared in front of Rhiko frightened him, but also intreged him. He'd never seen these animals, not even in all the book he's read. He masive lions were the greatest interest to him of all, he'd seen pictures of Wolves, but lions he'd only heard of in lore, and mentions of them hiding in the great plains of grass country.

Dispite his curriosity, that normally would drive him to get closer, he kept his distance, and stayed close to the water, in case the wild animals turned on him. They can't run on water like I can.. so if they chase me, they'll never keep up.

Rhiko froze however, when the larger lion walked in his general dirrection, then up to the water. Rhiko couldn't breath, and when it roared, he swore his heart stoped. This monster truely had an amazing presence to make him unable to move when it even looked at him. "Heh... nice... kitty..."

Touji as if she understood Banji's pain began to howl towards the moon. It was not as demanding of respect as Banji's roar but it was strong enough to strike some fear into the soul. She was proud to be Karite's partner because he watched over as if she were kin. Not like other partners she had seen who used the animals to stay alive rather then fight side by side. She howled on in respect for Karite's brother who seemed was the same way.

Banji stopped roaring and looked at the boy. He seemed a little scared he could smell the fear puring off him like blood after a fresh wound had been inflicted. He was not Tategami, but he had made contact with one as well as the girl. She reeked of it. There were others and he wanted to find them. Looking towards Karite he growled and motioned his head towards Kiri. He wanted to meet the new Tategami and get off this forsaken island.

Karite smiled it looked like Hiro would have to get use to having a new roommate with him. Karite joined in with Touji as he began to yell at the moon as well. Why he did not know. He had already weeped for his brothers lost soul and it was only now since he had spoken of it again. Tears could be seen glistening in the moon light. A stream of happiness in sorrow mixing together. Karite knew it was a little pathetic but big boys cried and got even. He would just have to wait for it. "Alright you guys ready?"

Koyuki was hiding.

Not that the others could've really blamed him - Fubuki was an isolated clan. Sure, they had wolves and bears wandering around their estate grounds...and weasels that just invited themselves in after the tundra fields were destroyed...but a LION?!?!?!?! A living, BREATHING lion?!?!?! This...was...utterly pathetic. Speaking of clan limits... Koyuki's fear momentarily dispersed as he slowly held up his left arm, staring at the metal bracelet-like armguard encircling the lower part of his arm. When shall his own activate?

Mizu followed after her team from the shifty ocean to sand of the moonlit shoreline. The view of a glowing beach, dark blue ocean water, with a reflection of the moon never grew old to the genin. But she pushed her thoughts aside as Karite began to speak, he said some things that sounded familiar, things she read during her research, and things that didn’t help settle her anxious nerve, the beasty animals added to that affect as they appeared on command.

The girl tried to settle her pumping heart as Karite continued his talking, though as the second sentence left Karite’s throat the settling of the heart seemed futile. She couldn’t believe she got to have the white fuzz ball to herself, though the thought reminded her that she’s never had a pet before. She had no problem listening to the rest of the conversation now that she knows what the surprise is.

As Karite finished his words Mizu became startled because the next sound she heard was a throaty roar at the moon, followed by another, followed by…her sensei. It was slightly odd but she didn’t question it, it all sounded sad. She averted her eyes from the sight till it ended, and then she nodded in response to Karite’s question showing she was ready.

Makoto’s ears perked once again as he tried to follow the sound to his playmate, but the song of the hoppy was interrupted by a high pitch whistle, it was something he remembered hearing a few times before, though he still couldn’t place it. Shrugging off the noise that seemed to stop he began searching for his playmate again, though his song stopped also.

Seconds later Makoto felt himself being lifted and his body innately fell limp. It seems he and Touji were going somewhere and in a hurry no less, this made the runt wonder if something was wrong, he would stay quite for now.

The pup softly hit the sand beneath him standing up soon after, he never liked this type of earth it always felt weird beneath his paws and it was always harder to move in. As he finished his study he looked up and noticed all the strange animals around he only recognized one of the figures, this made him back up and whimper behind his mother and cower in fear as the lion began to roar at the pale light in the sky, what did it do to him? He then held a look of confusion as Touji joined in, is mother mad at the light too…but the confusion didn’t stop there, next the familiar animal joined in. The light must have done something really bad for everyone to yell at it, especially mother, he thought about yelling at it too. Though he didn’t want the light to get mad and yell back, he opted for staying quite.

Rhiko watched the group of animals, and... Karite, howl their emotions at the moon. He stood there, feeling the emotion in the air, but only gathering confusion. He lifted an eyebrow, and shrugged, There's some deep meaning to this... but... I'm not even going to try and understand. To do so... seems like it would only be an insult to their sincerity... whatever the meaning behind it. For once, I think I'll leave it be... that's their business.

When the howling came to a close, nodded to Karite, his only return to say he too was ready. He only waited on his partners to confirm their readiness as well.

Karite whipped away the tears and turned towards the thick jungle that stood before him. Looking in he remembered so many things that had occurred on this very beach. The last time he spoke to boss. The first time he trained for the chunin exams. his first kill his last dinner before the masters. So many things had been here good and bad and looked like another memory would be added to the list. Clicking his jaw he called to Touji who soon snapped to his side. As if in perfect harmony they stepped together disappearing into the woods.

Touji eyed Mizu and her cub. They seem to fit together perfectly much like her and Karite did when they were together but humans were a tricky bunch to judge and she would eye her very closely for a while. Hearing a small clicking sound she turned her gaze of the girl and slid into her normal spot at Karite's side. She knew he always took a second to size up what he was about to walk into although it never helped. As he stopped they stepped together into the woods. At first everything was quite and then looking deeper in you noticed things she had never noticed before. Wherever Karite was going he knew exactly where to find the pray he was looking for. No if and or butts about it.

Rhiko watched Karite begin to take his leave, and quickly flashed his gaze around, "Fubuki!" He spoke with a hiss, "I thought I said stick with EVERYONE. Hide from the enemy, not your friends! Now come on!"

Rhiko ran over, and grabbed the other male in the group, by the back of his shirt collar, "Mizu, let's go... and don't let your new found pet wander off. K?" He then dragged Fubuki along behind him, to make sure he stayed with the group. Quickly, not far behind Karite, Rhiko entered the woods, trying to keep up in the unfamiliar terrain, quite afraid to get lost.

Mizu stared back at Touji as she eyed her, the girl could tell the arctic wolf was extremely intimidating, and could more then likely back up a growl. Though the look she was giving her didn’t seem to say "I’m going to kill you", but it came off as “If you hurt my pup I will kill you.” She would keep that into consideration as she worked with Makoto, though she had no intention in harming him from the start, the Wolvine girl let that show on her face as she watched Touji disappear in the thickness of the woods after a click sounded.

It seemed as if the ANBU in charge had already went ahead, followed by Touji, and now the rest of the group had began walking though the deep woodland, well Rhiko seemed to be dragging the other teammate. “I’m coming, and I wont.” She softly called back, hopefully he heard her.

Mizu slowly made her way to Makoto, who look confused about was going on. He truly was cute and he looked so fat and fluffy, she would be sure to be carful as she carried him. Looking down she cast him a kind smile with soft eyes once she approached him.

Makoto watched as one of the animals, which walked on two of their legs, left into the trees. That was one less person that made him uneasy, though that animal wasn’t the one that made him uncomfortable, it was all the others. He would adjust once he got use to them, they hadn’t hurt him yet. Speaking of hurting, one of the animals was walking toward him. The runt looked around to find that his mother had left and the others like mother’s friend had been walking away as well.

The fluffy wolf began to timidly back up as it got closer, but his actions were useless as he felt himself being gently lifted into the air and securely held. He looked up at her with relived/ confused eyes; he wasn’t harmed by this unfamiliar animal. As Mizu’s sent filled his nose he now knew that she was a girl and she had a nice calming sent. It smelled like the warmth of the ocean mixed with flowers, his tail wagged happily as they entered the forest.

As they walked deeper into the woods the trees began to become scarce and a dark linger feeling of death was around. One of high ability could sense high levels of chakra that had been expended recently. The closer they got Karite began to notice scorch marks. They weren't normal burn marks from fire jutsu, they were lighting marks. No shinobi in all of Kiri had a lighting affinity which meant they had a friend with some kick to there punch. Listening around he began to notice it was raining. If this person had lighting in there arsenal that would be in there advantage. Karite would have to lure them away from his team and somewhere with rocks and plenty of water. He would need it for his own jutsus. As they got closer He stopped and bent down next to Touji lightly squeezing her left ear as he let go she disappeared almost as fast as she came to the shore. As she did Karite raised his hand to his throat turning the speakers on to the radios. The static stopped and Karite's voice boomed in. "There is something up ahead. It looks a shack. Stay close but separate and hide. Keep close communication on anything you see." With that Karite quickly jumped up spinning and landed on a branch lightly. "Let the fun begin."

Touji followed behind Karite her head low to the ground and scouting the area for anything she could find. Looking around she noticed the trees had been ripped from the ground with a large amount of force. where they once stood there was the faint smell of humans. Whatever human did this would be trouble for the cubs Karite lead. They all seemed a little wet behind the ears. Why did Karite always suggest such dangerous missions for his pack? She never understood why he pushed his cubs so hard. Smelling something not of the island she began to throat a growl to warn Karite. Something was about to go down and he didn't like it. As Karite squeezed her ear she shifted her weight quickly to the side and slide under a fallen tree it was on top of a trench allowing her to slide in perfectly.

A mute nod, before Koyuki (rather reluctantly) followed suit. He still stayed a good enough distance from the animals, however, as the Hyouton carrier was quite wary of beasts from the carnivorous branch. Nah, to say he was "simply wary" would be a bit of an understatement. Not only did Fubuki in general rather shied away from the proposition of animal partnership...Koyuki was not quite happy to walk side by side to a full-grown wolf. The boy gulped lightly but altogether swallowed as Karite's voice boomed in his ear. Ow... He had forgotten to tone down the volume.

Rhiko took a deep breath, and let it out in a sigh, "Here we go!" A clever grin spread from ear to ear, and he quickly turned to Mizu and the Fubuki, whom he still hadn't been properly introduced to, "Alright, lets play this safe. We split up, but stick close like Karite said. We'll move forward diagonally from each other, form a large triangle between all of us. The point following behind. The point, will be keeping his or her eyes on the front two. Hide from targets ahead... leave it to the point to watch your backs. If point sees something creeping up on someone... they must warn the others via radio, then move to back up the one in danger, the other that will be in front must do the same. Our numbers SHOULD give us the advantage in a fight... especially if they expect to be the one DOING the trapping!"

Rhiko paused to make sure everyone understood the formation, then continued, "Now... the only danger is... Point... will not have anyone to watch their backs. If Point is taken out... we'll be in trouble... since Point is supposed to keep a good view of everyone in front... and at that angle... anyone ambushing point could easily see the other two. . . seeing that point is the most dangerous position... I'm making it my responsibility. Karite told me to make sure no one died... and I'm keeping to that order. Now... each of you pick a side to advance from..."

Rhiko was just about to go find a good position, but suddenly stopped, and turned back, "I know this is pretty common sense... but if YOU hear or see anything that point does not... you know to inform everyone immediately. K, move out!"

Rhiko then ran up the side of a tree, and took a position up in the branches. From here he could look down onto the forest floor below, and watch his comrades advance, also the trees were not too far apart that he could not move from tree-top to tree-top, and keep within a good range.

I volunteer to be the point.” Koyuki lifted his head slightly, voice solemn. “I haven’t mastered it but I can somewhat use my clan’s doujutsu.” A light pause. “That doesn’t mean I managed to get my field of vision past normal but at the least...I can base foreign movements on air/wind pattern disturbance.” And the truth was, the Fubuki's doujutsu was better for tracking from a somewhat mid-ranged distance or further - not handy for usage in close-combat but useful for spying on more distant enemy movements. And if conditions were just right, the more talented clansmembers of old could have almost no limits to their field of vision.

Rhiko, who was hiding at the top of a tree, turned and looked down at Fubuki, who was still trying to discuss his position, but to Rhiko, the discussion was closed. In hushed but, almost hiss like tones, Rhiko said back to him, "Fubuki! You're not point, you're one of the advancers. I'm not giving this job to anyone. The results of this mission are on my head, and I've been ordered to make sure everyone comes back. I can't trust anyone else with this position, because I'd only blame myself even more if one of you screwed up instead."

Rhiko bit his tung, and he realized what he just said could have sounded quite condescending, "Besides, this is the most dangerous position, and I wouldn't want to put anyone in danger over myself. Trust me... I'll be sure to watch your backs to the best of my ability."

Rhiko turned away and looked towards the direction of the cabin, finalizing his decision. Just as the conversation seemed to be completely over, he spoke again, almost apologetically, "Please, move out, and don't argue... we need to work together as best as we can. This the best way I know how to work with others. So accept this as part of who I am for now. Maybe, one day you'll get to know me, and understand, but for now... just trust me. Please?"

"The side closer to the ocean (OOC: right side I assume?)." Koyuki answered simply. The pale morning light appeared silvery in his usually gray-blue eyes, an occasional glassy glint or two. Normally, being closer to the waters would've been a problem if they've been facing higher-ranked shinobi with the possibility of lightning chakra. However, since these targets were still Genin-ranked in power terms...as according to Karite...if Koyuki could get his tundra field to activate, it might become a handy ability. And the pale-haired Fubuki knew he was drawing close to having his sleeping kekkai genkai surface - the very proof being the occasional lapses of grasping the clan doujutsu.

Mizu heard the light crackling of the radio before Karite’s voice came though “There is something up ahead. It looks a shack. Stay close but separate and hide,” She turned the ear shattering volume down, and massaged her ringing ears as she continued to listen to her sensei’s voice “Keep close communication on anything you see.” The girl gave a pointless nod as the voice finished then turned to the voice of the team leader, Rhiko. She listened to the plan then the continued conversation between Rhiko and Koyuki, judging by the nonnegotiable conversation, Mizu and the pup will be taking the left.

Mizu began her wordless walk diagonally to the left of the small group, once she found a spot that was far enough but still close enough to her teammates she put Makoto down.

Makoto looked up at the girl a little disappointed that she put him down. “Okay Makoto, we have to hide.” The girl was making quiet noises, thankfully he could hear them but he had no idea what she was talking about; until she began to move behind a tree then crouch down like when his mother and him are hunting. The young wolf titled his head and began wagging his tail; he understood what she wanted, though it slightly confused him when she stopped crouching. Were they not hunting anymore, or are they stalking now? Makoto just decided he would follow her example and walk quietly between the trees “Maybe were just hiding.” The arctic wolf thought staying close to the girl as he began to wonder where his mother was.
