Mizu quickly followed behind Rhiko glancing at some of the books as they passed. Once they arrived at the desired location Mizu took a set next to Rhiko. She opened the book that was left for her and began to skim though some of the pages for a matching picture to the mystery plant. After skimming though the first few pages she thought she had found it at first glance, but after examining the picture then the plant, she noted several differences.

Rhiko sat reading intently on the plant he hoped to recognise. His book, rather then pictures and examples, pointed out special details about the plants of Kirigakure. The book listed traits and fetures that plants around kiri had developed separate from each other in the varying climates. There were inland, shore, urban, wild, deep forrest, ocean floor, island, indoor, cavern, moss and fungus, and many other foilage catagories he had to look under. Once identifying a list of details about the plant, each detail was listed a cerial number... or a portion of one. The combined numbers put in order in which they are instructed to be placed in, forms a finished number, this number is an identification number which he could use to look up the exact plant. Then, with that information, he could easily look up, and reserch the plant in question. It was a complicated process, but it was the only sure fire way that he knew could discover the exact type, and location the plant originated from.

He glanced over the table of contents, and ruled out a couple of the catagories, such as Ocean floor. But even with this exclution, he knew it was still a lot of work left for him to discover the exact origins of the plant.

Rhiko read, and read, and read, eventually finding the book quite usefull, he slowly but surely, gained ground on the plant's identification. He wrote down on a piece of paper lightly held at the corner of his page, so he could keep track of the growing cerial number. He had noted a couple thing, such as, any floral growth, leaf type and structure, root form, stalk formation... many of the questions where unanswerable, because of the limited remains of the plant itself, but dispite this, he was gaining ground!

Several tense moments passed by for Rhiko as he vigilantly searched for the next answer. Soon, he came to the end of the catagorisation, and he glanced over to what he had writen. He smiled, and fliped to the back of the book, where the list of serial numbers were matched with a name. He skimed along the list of numbers, and came across 2 that contained a similar serial number.

He wrote thier names down, and stood up, walking off into the library, on a new mission. He walked up and down isles, trying to match a book title to his mysterious plant contestants. Soon he came across one, and opened it up, finding it looked nothing like his mysterious plant.

He placed the book back on the shelf, feeling a tad worried, but more triumphant, grinning joyfully, nearly tasting the victory that lay ahead of him. He quickly went and found the second book, finishing his analasis, and confirming the plant's species. With the discovery of the plants origins, he could track down to where the suspects could be. And then, do some reserch on the names Mizu discovered by listening in on Sir Karite, and the shop owner. It wasn't that he doubted thier accuracy, but if thier profiles didn't match up with what he discovered about the plant, then it could severly deminish his belief that they were the culprits... though even this would simply leave him with minimal doubt. The only reason he did not go imidiatly to follow the lead the shop owner unwillingly gave to Mizu, was because he was not honest from the begining.

He continually thought deeply on the posabilities, and slowly walked back to meet up with Mizu. He smiled at her, and showed her the cover of the book, which obviously had the name of the plant as the title, along with a large picture, "Guess we have our plant. Lets figure out where this clue came from shall we? Look up, Dionaea muscipula... that's our plant's identity. Try to figure out where she came from."

Rhiko didn't take long to find his answer, in fact, it took him such a short time, he looked up to Mizu, and smiled again, "Nevermind, no need to search, Mizu. I found it! Though..."

He stoped, and held the book open to the page he found the location on. He held it between them, so both of them could read, "... It's just... normally I'd be fine, and we'd be able to move on... but it appears... this flower... only grows in a specific place. One... that is listed here... as if it was in Kirigakure... but I've never even heard of it?! The Forbidden Island? Have you ever heard of a place like this?"

Mizu’s eyes widened for a swift moment as she read the name on the book. She opened her mouth to respond but soon hesitated before closing it completely. She couldn’t, wouldn’t lie to Rhiko but she hoped sensei wouldn’t get to mad at her for telling. “Though he did discover the name on his own.” She thought to herself as she inwardly frowned, not showing the expression on her face. After letting several more seconds pass she began to speak “That’s the place I was talking about when we were in the shop. The forbidden island is apparently a dangerous place, so if we were to go there I’m sure we would have extra danger to look out for. Though I’m sure you could assume that. Other then its name and reputation I don’t know much else about it, as far as location goes.” She said speaking to him in a low voice. Mizu closed the book that was in front of her and put it away in the spot it had came from before turning her attention back to Rhiko “So what’s next, researching the culprits?”

Rhiko smiled, and placed the book back on the table, and smiled, "You got it! We'll need access to the libraries old shinobi records. If the two culprits are realy who we think they are... the location in the book, this... forbiden island... will match up with them. Also... and you can have your choice... one of us needs to research this... forbiden island in more detail... take your pick."

It didn’t take the genin long to come up with an answer, she was curious on the subject of this forbidden Island, she wondered what kind of animals, and other dangers wandered the Island, that could cause Karite to have nightmares that haunt him till this day. It would be good to know, and she wanted to find out as soon a possible “I’ll take the Island.” Mizu said with a smile.

Rhiko smiled and nodded, "Then make sure you hold up your end, I'll go do some research on the two suspects. Once I find out more about them, I'll return here. Don't go far... alright... see you later!" He finished as he ran off into the deeper parts of the library and dissapeared around the corner of a isle. Gone for the time being. . .

Koyuki did not like the idea of moving too far away from his teammates. Somehow, he got the premonition that he'll get lost in this maze of a library. Right now, he was hunting for geographical and weather documents of the places in Kiri - more specifically, of the Forbidden Island's while Mizu search up the history and what animals lived there. Anyways, if it was forbidden, how the hell were they supposed to get there? The signs around the library were easy enough pointers but this... He was staring down an extremely lengthy isle. Looks like this is gonna take some time...

Some of the oldest scrolls in this section should be a decade or two at least. Well, they were mainly maps of Kiri, updated along the years, but certainly of course does not show any of the shortcuts. Just a basic map, for tourist purposes. It was certainly a surprise though, to find Gatou's shop on many of the older maps. That old bat certainly had been here for a long while... Heh. Now...where is it... He wasn't looking for anything within Kiri...is there any scrolls showing the places bordering the island village?

Speaking of older documents... Why were these here? Koyuki thought quietly to himself, almost sullenly. Actually, how many documents of Kiri's past still exists? Mistress was thought to have destroyed them all - vying to create a perfect Kiri. But...she could destroy documents, yet she can't destroy what had happened. Of course, the Fubuki clan kept their own view of Kiri's history...and had barely managed to hide her...but it was only for the six centuries they had been part of the village. Kiri was much older. But...it was kind of...really...just depressing... The generations from now on...may never get to know how their home village was founded...

His index finger gradually drew a long line in one of the scroll's dusty bindings. Hey... He thought happily. Records of the Fubuki compound...before it was built...? Oh... He looked rather shocked to see that the place was once so beautiful, with much wildlife and vegetation. Rare species of birds, called magpies, once resided in the area. Their ancestors called these birds the same as the ones in their Ten'nyo legend, building the milky way bridge so the poor farmer could be let to see his wife one last time before he died.

But the next scroll...showed barren lands of ice and snow. At first, it didn't make sense. But then it clicked. The clan practically destroyed the place with their Hyouton limit...just for the sake of building a home recreating their Yuki. Many of the animals, unable to escape in time, was frozen in ice. But now...with the tundra field gone...what was taken is being returned... And Koyuki found that he didn't mind at all. He would've preferred the beautiful vegetation and exotic wildlife over the barren lands of ice and snow, filled with only harsh, lashing winds.

Text could be destroyed...but images could tell just as much of a story, right? And as long as some clue, some imprint that Mistress cannot destroy is left somewhere in this village...a piece of the old heart remains. Kind of like that faraway village, nestled in the heart of Fire Country, treasuring the monument of their village leaders like it was the most priceless treasure in the world. And it was. Heritage was something even a Master can't take away. She may call it imperfect...but even the most imperfect history...the villagers could take pride in, call it something rather than no history at all.
