“Your mum works in a hospital as well?” She inquired. So then the gold eyed woman wasn’t only a researcher but…perhaps a doctor as well? She couldn’t have ever imagined enjoying watching a surgery when she was younger, and even know she doubted it would seem like any fun to her. But to the young teen before her, it was inspiring.

“I bet you’d make a fine doctor.” Emily spoke with a nod. Even as she spoke she bent down to pick up the scattered petals. Her fingers brushed over the smooth texture, before standing up right. She held the flower petals in her hand, not entirely sure what to do with them.

“What kind of doctor do you want to be?”

Nhadala thought on this for a while. Exactly what type of doctor did she want to be? A surgeon? No-no...She's too clumsy for that. She'd end up cutting herself open instead of the patient. Maybe a pediatrisian? Nah...Sick, screaming children gave her the willies. OH! How about...

"A psychiatrist!" Nhadala beamed proudly. Raising her head up, and puffing out her breast as if she was some sort of peacock showing itself off. "I want to be a psychiatrist!"

“A psychiatrist?” Wow. She wasn’t expecting that answer. “Psychiatrists do lots of work you know? And they have to go to a lot of school. You’re a good worker aren’t you?”

As the question left her lips she gently put the flower petals in her pocket and began to take off on a casual stroll. So this is where she would be working huh? She tenderly touched a sapling before turning back to the pink girl smiling. “Hey, Nhadala, mind showing me around?”

Nhadala was just about to respond to Emily's first series of question before the other one sounded quite a bit more interesting to her. She tidied herself up and smiled, "Certainly!"

Nhadala walked behind Emily, ushering her along to the different areas of the Green house, showing her all the different trees, and the flowers and the spots she found excellent for sun bathing in, or escaping the light when you wanted to read.

Emily allowed the girl to lead her around with amusement as the girl pointed out each thing to her. She had made special note to eventually sunbath in one of the lovely spots, should she find extra time.

She had, naturally, stopped to sniff the flowers as they walked by, and checked out the leaves on the trees they stopped at. The more they walked the more she felt relaxed and assured that she would fit in as much as physically possible in this area.

After awhile she asked Nhadala to show her where she would be planting the seeds (As she had been told she would be doing when she was hired) and asked her if she saw very many other helpers in the green room. Finally she ended her questions with a “Do you come here often Dala?”

Nhadala paused, stopping her walking as she thunk on her question, "No..." She murmured, quietly. "I don't get to come here often. Mama is very busy and I usually just stay in my quarter until she comes to get me."

She gave Emily a sad smile, as she was reminded she may not be back here tomorrow, or the next day, or the day after that. At least she had Milo to keep her company. And she had school with Seveda to look forward to, too!

She went back to answering the questions before hand, "No. I don't know where you would plant the seeds. Maybe Seveda's mommy can tel you." She smiled, "And I haven't seen anybody else here lately. But when I do I'll let you know!"

Emily felt a pang of guilt stab her as she watched the girl sink into a sad smile. Placing a hand on the other’s shoulder she smiled. “Well, I’ll be working here. So whenever you come down here, we can visit if I’m not busy okay?” It didn’t make anything better, but it was the best she could offer for comfort at the moment.

“Would you tell me when you see others? That would be lovely Dala dear.” She giggled softly. “Do you know where I could find Seveda’s mum?”

Nhadala shook her head to the question about knowing where Seveda's mother was and opened her mouth to begin to speak when she was abruptly cut off.

"Nhadala! I thought I asked you to watch my bag?"

It was Shouko. The crossed arms and cold stare did not bode anything well for the two conversing. Not only could Shouko not find a new clicky pen to write with, but she missed valuable interaction notes she could have been writing down. This only furthered the frustration and anger she was feeling, though she hid it well behind the aforementioned cold stare.

"M-mam-"

"Don't 'Mama' me." Shouko grumbled, walking over to gather her chair and her belongings from the the place they were seated. "I gave you one simple task to do and you couldn't do it. How do you expect me to trust you here in this greenhouse alone for more than a few minutes when I can't even count on you to actually watching my things, hmmn?"

Nhadala's heart sank. The happiness completely sucked from her face and replaced with a sullen look. The Vale toddled with the strands of her hair as she mumbled a humble apology. "I have to go now..." She said to Emily, giving her a false smile to hide her apparent sadness. "I-if I find Seveda's mommy. I'll tell her where to find you and about where to plant the seeds..."

Shouko tapped her foot, standing there things in tow. "Com'on Nhadala. I have to go buy new pens and you have homework you could be doing."

"Yes, Mama..." She said, quickly scooting up to where Shouko was and walking with her to the greenhouse exit. Before she left she turned her head and gave Emily a smile and wave. She hoped to see her again soon.

To say Shouko had startled her when she entered was an understatement. It seemed more to her like the woman was roaring then anything else, and it had caused her to jump –what she was CERTAIN was 10 feet- in the air, before whirling around. The look that the older woman gave her made her stomach flop uncomfortably and she felt as if she was the one on the blunt end of the scolding. She could only wonder how Dala felt.

She watched as the cold woman gathered her stuff in a seemingly suffocating silence. She wanted to say something t stand up for Dala, but being a new employee, she couldn’t afford to anger someone of hirer ranking then her. She didn’t want to lose her job, she needed the hours in order to graduate. And she had hoped that if all went well she would be able to continue working here.

That wouldn’t happen if she pissed off this scary woman. Honestly! She was like something straight out of a horror movie.

She watched with a pang of guilt as the pink girl said her goodbyes and she could only nod. She offered the same smile and wave as they left the room. Once the girl and her researcher was out of what she hoped was earshot, Emily could only let out a breath she hadn’t known she had been holding.

“What a b***h!” She spoke with a heavy sigh. Screwing up her face she stuck out her tongue in an unattractive manner before huffing and going to check out some of the area’s Dala had pointed out earlier.

She could only pray she’d never have to deal with that woman again.
