You'll get there. Your little girl sounds like she's growing nicely and is staying healthy. I'm sure she'll start eating more soon. You'll be home before you know it.
Although if she's stable and doesn't need direct medical intervention to live, I don't see why they won't let you go home. I don't know a whole lot about premmies though outside of family stories so I'm not the best expert on this. I guess their policies are stricter now to guarantee less complications later on.
I can see the reasoning behind wanting her to take all her feedings by bottle and finish them all, because they're not going to send us home with a feeding tube through her nose so we can get the rest in her that way, and they want her having a certain amount per feeding so she gains weight.
I think it would be easier to get her to finish all her bottles if we went by her cues and fed her when she was awake and showing signs of interest rather than by the clock every 3 hours exactly. So hopefully that part will be easier once we're home. But good news! She's now finished all her bottles for the past 24 hours so they're going to remove her feeding tube later tonight, I think, and see how she does and if she still gains weight. If she doesn't finish a feeding or two they may have to put the feeding tube back in. But with the way she's going, they think she may be able to come home sometime this week! She'll be a month old on Friday already!

Yes, that's a preemie outfit, and way too big still!
