Airaka was not a morning person, so as she stumbled out of bed, she could feel excruciating pain the the back of her head. She waddled down the stairs, and tripped over a small bump in the rug, in her quest for the kitchen. her chin bounced on the floor, and she noted a small enevelope in front of hrt. Grumblineg, she scooped it off the ground, and walked into the kitchen, barely giving it an thought.
Two cups of coffee, and about an hour later, she moved back into the kitchen, and spotted the package. Moving over to it, she picked it up, and turned it over twice, before she actually opened it. The paper inside fell to the floor, so she followed it.
" Confidential?" she muttered, before reading it. Once she had finished reading it, she slid the paper off the floor, and placed it on the envelope. Airaka walked around the house a bit, putting a concerned finger in her mouth.
A child? Could she really train a chld with super powers? As she was wandering through the house, she stepped into a room. Her eyes widened as she did so, and she walked back out. She closed the door, leaving her hand on the door knob for a second or so.
As she let out a sigh, she walked to her room, and grabbed the phone. She ran her finger down the phone, wondering if she were doing the right thing. Quickly, she nodded her head, and dialed the number. She coughed a little, before speaking her answer,
" Hello, this is Airaka. I'm calling about the letter you sent me." She nodded her head, and then continued, " I am willing to take the dutied in which you have entrusted to me. Please, contact me again."
Airaka placed the phone away, and smiled a little. She had never been all that confident on the phone, and her conversation with the goverment right then didn't seem all that appropriate for such conversation. Quietly, she walked back down stairs, and grabbed her thrid coffee.

Charles sat at his desk, leafing through a couple of folders, double-checking that he had sent out the letters to all potential guardians. He was now waiting for the third woman to call back, hopefully with a message that she would accept the responsibility of caring for Akiran, the girl who could shift her size. For this reason, Akiran had to be kept in a somewhat smaller of a room, with no cracks or windows or anything of that sort. The Agency did not want any escapees or damages to the building. They did not yet know the extent of her powers; how small or how large she could make herself. It was better to be safe than sorry. But, hopefully, she wouldn't have to stay at the Agency for very long. If Airaka called back soon, Aki would be sent along with her new guardian to their apartment ASAP. As if on cue, the phone rang. Charles' head shot up, and he waited for the message to come. He always screened his calls, it was the policy. There was a pause, and then the woman began to speak. "Hello, this is Airaka. I'm calling about the letter you sent me. I am willing to take the dutied in which you have entrusted to me. Please, contact me again." A grin appeared on Charles' face, and he pressed the speaker button on the phone. "Send me a messenger. It's urgent." No sooner had he lifted his finger from the button, there was a knock on his door. Charles picked up the already typed and addressed envelope from his desk and handed it to the boy. "Same place. Make it quick." With a nod, the boy left, and Charles sat back in his chair to wait for the fourth and final call to be made for the last child being held at the Agency.Contents of the letter

PROMPT - THE NEWS BROADCAST ((The following is a news broadcast. You can choose to ignore this or happen to see it. The broadcasting started at 6 PM on CNN with vague stories. The actual statement, what will be shown below, starts at ten PM.))
The newsreader looked into the camera. "Alright ladies and gentlemen, we've been reporting to you for the past four hours now about the triple murder in the center of Metropolis. There was a Villain concerned, Solarduct who murdered three children. One of the children was believed to be a Super. We now go live to Maria Beckingtail, who's at the spot."
He turned to the side, to a screen appearing "Maria, what is the updated sitation?"
"Well Bill, only five minutes ago, a government agent has given a press statement which we will show you now."
The image flicked to show Charles standing in front of the crowd. He raised his hand and everything became silent. He cleared his throat.
"Ladies and gentlemen. Today, at september 23rd, 5 PM a terrible tragedy occured here in Metropolis.
The Villain Solarduct has attacked the First Kidz play area and murdered three children. These children were eleven years old."
He paused as the muttering started and raised his hand again. "The guardian of one of the children was murdered by Solarduct too, at approximately 4 PM today too. I will take a few questions now."
Charles pointed at someone off screen and the voice of Maria could be heard. "Thank you sir." she cleared her throat, "Several witnesses that have been released have testified that the boy that was attacked was a Super, that he tried to defend himself by shooting something at Solarduct, but that it was too weak. Is this true?"
Charles nodded. "Yes, that is correct. The child was following a training course with the government. His powers were not yet developed enough to take on Solarduct so it was to no avail."
Charles pointed to someone else off the screen. "So does that mean that the government, or the NSA, I suppose, is currently training more children to be Supers one day?"
Charles shook his head "I am not allowed to comment on anything regarding work with the government. Next question please."
Maria called out again "So what's the government going to do next? Are they going to apprehend Solarduct and bring him to justice? Are you not afraid for a thing like Neuron City to be happening again?"
There was a very slight twitch of Charles' eyebrow. "We have been trying for quite some time now to apprehend Solarduct, but this is not easy. The current Supers that are in commission are overworked and have been in several confrontations with Solarduct, but have not yet won. We are working on this matter, but I'm afraid to say there's no promise or guarantee we can make for the future. We feel we have set up a suffice defense to prevent Neuron City from ever happening agan. Thank you. No further questions."
The image changed back to Maria. "There you have it Bill. The government is training children to become the next Supers, but Solarduct is hunting them all down! The government agent wouldn't comment on anything else, but it is suspected that there are more of these children. Perhaps they are living among us, they could be your neighbour! What I would feel necessairy to point out, is that, if you disover your neighbour to be a Super, do NOT reveal this to anyone else. They are the heroes of the future, and when they are all murdered, what hope will there be for us? This was Maria Beckingtail for CNN, live at the crimescene."
The image faded out, and Bill got full view again. He was silent. "Well, that's... surprising. All information can be found on our site, which is updated hourly. We wil be right back after these commercial breaks. I am Bill Notnil. Goodnight."

Airaka fiddled with a spoon as she stared out the window of her house. Her television was bleating random noises about the news or something in the backround, and her coffee had spilt on to the floor. As the door bell rang, she troted over to the door, still preoccupied in her odd little mind, and still in her pyjamas. When she oulled open the door, she let out an odd noise, draw back to reality.
" Wow, I'm sorry, I didn't expect anyone."
The man held out an envelope, and she took it. He cast her a worried look, and she pointed off into the woods, the direction the man should take. With a nod of his head, he started off, and Airaka accidently slammed the door behind him.
Airaka had never seen him before, not the regular mail man, and this was not a regular package she held in her hand. Staring at it, she suddenly remembered, cursing loudly. She tore open the envelope, it didn't seem much that she cared if the letter got ripped, and read it quickly. Some words stuck out :' Lorina' 'Size-Shifting'
" All the information they can provide!" she shouted.
After reading the adresses over a view times, and tugging her bag on to her back, she started off into the streets.
Finally, the last of the letters had been sent out. Hopefully Airaka would arrive soon to pick the child up. Charles leaned back in his chair, fiddling with a few papers on his desk. There wasn't much he could do until the woman came, so he leaned himself as far back as the chair would go and stared up at the ceiling.
Airaka pushed the door open with her back. She hadn't expected the walk to take so long. Whiping some sweat off her forehead, she started into the nearest room that was open, seeing as no one was at the desk to serve her. You'd think some place that looked so professional would have some customer service. As she looked up from the ground, she spotted Charles, and moved foreward. " My apologies for arriving so late." she said with a bow. Sitting down in the chair opposite of him, she wondered what he was staring at, although she didn't dare look at the ceiling. For all she knew, the government had attached a lazer up their that brain washed anyone who gazed up at it. The man was most likely getting his energy restored or something.
Charles hadn't even noticed the woman until she spoke. He muttered something about evil bunnies trying to take over the world, then snapped out of his daze, jerking himself forward. "Oh, hello Miss...Airaka? Pleasure to meet you." He stood up, brushing his suit jacket flat. "If you wouldn't mind, please follow me this way. I'll introduce you to your charge." He motioned towards the hallway, and paused at the entrance to the lobby to wait for the woman.
Airaka nodded her head at the mention of the name, although her mind was wrapped around his comment. What was the government planning? And why bunnies? She blinked, and looked around the room, noticing who ever it was had left. Blushing slightly, she hurried after him. When she reached the lobby, she looked around again, still not trusting the place, then looked back over at Charles.
"Do the childern know you call them charges? And ... who are you?"
Airaka didn't think it very nice that they call the children that. She would never call any child a "charge". Placing her hands on her hips, she tried not to look around the area.
Charles responded to Airaka's questions as quickly as he could. He didn't want to rush...but they were on a schedule. "Very sorry for not introducing myself, Miss. My name is Charles; I am in charge of the Agency." He extended his hand towards the woman. "As I said, very nice to meet you. 'Charge' is just a simple term, basically meaning 'under your care.' I hope it takes no offense to the child, I don't see why it would." Charles gave her a flash of his pearly whites, and then continued down the hallway to his left, pulling a few objects out of his pockets as he began walking.
Airaka coughed weakly, then followed after him, her head bowed, staring at her feet. She listened to the clacking of his boots, but ignored the instruments he was pulling out of his pockets, except, that each time he pulled one out, she shivered slightly. His teeth had scared her aswell. This whole place was so new to her, and iit left an odd taste in her mouth, which she kept locked shut, in fear she would say something really stupid.
Once they were in the main area of the building, Charles slowed down a bit and walked beside Airaka. He shuffled the objects in his hands. One was a square piece of plastic, the other appeared to be a business card, and the third looked like keys. He started with the plastic, apparently it was a credit card. Handing it over, Charles said, "No limit. Buy whatever you think would make yourself and Lorina more comfortable in your new environment. Just don't...don't go overboard." He laughed a little, and took a right down another hallway. "Next is my business card." He pointed to a number near the bottom of the card. "That's my cell. In the case of an emergency, call this number and I'll respond ASAP." He gave the card to Airaka, then proceeded to take a left, continuing straight on from there. This place really was a maze; it was a wonder that even Charles could find his way around. "And last...but certainly not least..." He dangled the metal keys together, making a sharp clanging noise. "The keys to your new apartment, located in Neuron City." This all might be a bit much for her, but Charles had faith in every guardian the Agency had assigned. He stopped in front of a door, and folded his hands in front of him. "I'm sure you have lots of questions, so please ask away before you meet Lorina."
Airaka peered at the three items, before stuffing them in her pocket. She had never owned a credit card, to many people went into debt because of them. But, it seemed neccessary, as did the bussiness card, but why the keys? Was she not allowed to live in her house? She loved her house. It was pretty.
Blinking at the door in front of her, Airaka only narrowly caught what Charles said. " Oh, ya... Questions." She paused for a moment, collecting her toughts, the nodded. " Are there any restrictions I should know of? Like, not letting Lorina go out alone, or no internet, or cell phones at all? And, am I allowed to grab some stuff from my house?"
"Oh, yes...of course, to both of your questions. Although we don't ban any technology, such as computers, just don't let yourselves go overboard, or leave either devices on for long periods of time. The longer something is turned on, the more chance of it being...hacked into." He paused at that last statement, reflecting on one of his experiences with that issue the week before. "And about your house, yes, all of your items will be moved to the apartment shortly. This move is only to ensure the safety of the child, as well as yourself. We would really rather not have any villains find out your location, and end up murdering Lorina." And here again, Charles got a bit choked up. But, he shook it off. That incident should never have happened, and he would not let a similiar situation happen ever again. "Now then, are you ready to meet Lorina? I'm sure she is very eager to meet her new guardian."
Airaka blinked, catching both pauses, and coughing lightly at both, although she wonderd why he paused. Something told her she should have listened to the news earlier today. She smiled joyfully at the last comment, and nodded her head. " Of course. I can't wait to see her." Straightning her clothes a tad, Airaka nodded her head again. The more she looked at the door, the more she wondered who the girl was (all she really knew was Lorina's name), how she acted, what she looked like. She giggled nervously, glancing over at Charles.
"All right then, I'll introduce you two." Nodding and smiling at the same time, (he must have looked like a bobble-head to Airaka...lack of sleep was taking its toll), Charles turned the doorknob to Lorina's room and headed in, holding the door open for the woman. He spotted the small blonde-haired girl lying down on a sofa-bed, looking as if she was falling asleep, but the door closing shut behind Airaka made her jerk her head up. Lorina had lost her barings for a moment or two, but seeing that guy again made her remember where she was. He wasn't alone, either. She rubbed the sleep out of her eyes, and made a grunt that was supposed to be 'hi,' but didn't quite come out that way.
Airaka slowly followed him into the room, and as she caught sight of Lorina, her blue eyes lit up happily. The girl looked so innocent! It seemed she wouldn't be paired with some deliquient. She smiled at the girl, nodding her head. " Hello Sweety!"
Lorina gave Airaka an odd look, and stared at Charles, before glancing at the again closed door. "Always closed." she grumbled aloud. Pulling herself to her feet, Lorina glared at Charles. " Can I leave now? Is my like, "vacation" over, or something."
Airaka blinked, slightly shocked. She gave Charles a confushed look, before looking over at Lorina again. " Your Lorina, right?"
"And your in my way." Lorina grumbled back at Airaka, not willing to make eye contact. Stupid woman she thought to herself.
Airaka placed a hand behind her head, and knelt down to Lorina's height. "Lorina... Uh, your coming home with me..." She smiled weakly.
"Well... Duh! I knew that! Not like I'd want to go home either." Lorina glared at her, even though her bright green eyes looked a tad saddened.
" Right..." said Airaka, straighting up, " Are you ready?" Before Lorina could answer, she looked over at Charles, "Are we ready?" She took Lorinas hand, even though the girl acted as if she had been touched by germs, and waited for Charles' answer.
Charles sighed. Why did they always need to have an attitude? It was obvious Airaka was trying her best. He gave a look to Lorina. "Yes, you are going home with Airaka now." Bending down to her level, he talked softly to her, "Be good for your new guaridan, all right?" He stood back up, turning to Airaka. "I'll let you talk to her for a few minutes until your transportation arrives. It shouldn't be long." He gave a quick smile, then turned around and went back outside, not wanting to be in their way.
Airaka coughed, watching him leave, and nodded to Lorina, who suddenly reminded her of an angel.
"I'm so sorry. I was just grouchy from waking up." Lorina said, green eyes twinkling.
"It's okay, I think..." Lorina smiled happily, and tugged on Airaka's hand as a man entered the room. Airaka nodded at him, as Lorina continued to tug her into the car. The girls eyes were twinkling as she stared at the blackened window of the car, while Airaka's back faced away from goverment building, happy she was finally gone. Suddenly, Lorina turned to Airaka, and started talking at mass speeds, as the car slowly drove away.
Charles waved to the two from the sidewalk as they were driven away. The last child, finally going home. He felt a bit of pressure off his chest. Maybe he would go take a nap now. (xD)

Lorina continued talking to Airaka as the car continued driving. The jingle for the new station went on, and as the man went to turn off the the radio, or change the station, Airaka leaned foreword, and interrupted, "No, don't change the channel, I never got to listen to the news today." The driver withdrew his hand, which brought a shocked look to the womans face. But then, Lorina started complaining, "Whats so great about the news? It's so boring, I'd rather listen to music!" Airaka rolled her eyes, and didn't answer the girl as she listened, Once it was finished, she turned to wide eyed Lorina, and smiled weakly. Lorina's green eyes seemed full of saddness. "I'm not gonna be murdered am I?" "Not if I have any say about it." Airaka said with a reasurring smile. She watched the girl turn away from her, and stare out the window, lost in her deep thoughts. It seemed to Airaka that the girl had two modes, "Quiet" and "Loud". Slowly Lorina turnde back to her, meeting Airaka's quizzical stare. "So there are others like me? I'm not weird?" The question surprised Airaka. She had expected some hyperactive response, like earlier. Airaka nodded her head, then shook it, confusing herself in the process. " Yes there are other people like you. No you aren't weird. Who ever said something like that?" Lorina looked back out the window, making it obvious that she didn't want to answer Airaka's question, and Airaka let it be. She hadn't expected such to happen, but that would explain why Charles was so antsy. "Do you like the government?" Another odd question from Lorina, another one that shocked her. "I guess, so... Why?" Lorina tilted her head, and stared at Airaka, as if sizing her up. "Well, you seemed afraid of Charles." Airaka blushed, "Thing is, Lorina, I don't trust the government." "I don't either! They won't take care of me. They let that Solarduct dude kill people. And they locked me in a room." "Well, they did help you. Sorta. I think." Lorina gave Airaka an odd look, and glanced out the window. "Is that our house? Looks small..." "It's an apartment." "Eww!" squealed Lorina. "I don't want to live there! It's so gross!" Airaka coughed lightly, and opened the door, escorting the now grumpy Lorina inside.

The messenger shot an annoyed look at the letter in his hand. He wasn't sure if he liked delivering all these messages. And he had so many more addresses to go. He wondered what those governement guys were up to.
Sighing he walked over to the house and pressed the doorbell. When the door opened, he handed over the message. "Here ya go, m'am." He shuffled a bit. "I'm s'posed to be waitin' for yer answer." he stood back, awaiting the answer rather impatiently.
The letter contains the following message:Quote: Dear Airaka, Tomorrow morning at 9.00 AM a meeting will be held where Lorina will be able to meet with the other children under the Agency's care. This meeting will also be a group training session. Please let the messenger know whether you are interested or not. If not, you may ignore this message. If you are, a car will pick you up tomorrow at 8.30 AM and escort you to a building. The driver will give you the code needed for safe teleportation to 'Safe Haven'.
Sincerely, Charles ((If this message interrupts your ongoing roleplay, please continue to claim all post you need. AFTER that, PM the mule with the request to have the post removed and reposted.))

Airaka's tanned hand grabbed the letter quickly and turned her back on the messenger. Her crimson hair didn't move as rapidly as she had, it swirled, and floated gently onto her back. A hand was raised to her mouth, her head was bent slightly toward the ground. It was pretty obvious she was reading. The blond girl, though, was standing a bit behind, and to right of Airaka, her green eyes flashing between the man, and her guardian, an oddly calm smile played on her face, while her white socked foot bounced up and down, as a musician would do when keeping time. When Airaka lifted her head, they two females struck out their hands. Lorina was going to snatch it out of Airaka's hand, while Airaka was just fine with handing it to her. The two hands collided, and rebounded off to opposite sides. Lorina's brown frowned, and she swung her arm away from where it had stopped, while Airaka still stood there, mouth slightly open, the hand that had hit dragged up to her chest. She lowered it, holding out the note to Lorina, who took it much less aggressively than one would think she would have. It took the girl longer to read the letter than it had Airaka, and when she finished, she blinked up at Airaka, a look on her face that was a mix of happiness, surprise, and a bit of annoyance. "We are going," she said firmly. Airaka shrugged her shoulders, and with a shy smile, she turned to the man and nodded her head, agreeing with Lorina. She closed the door quickly, yet not rudely, and turned to Lorina. "So we are going?" asked the blond, who was bouncing slightly. Her guardian nodded her head again, and moved back into the kitchen rewashing her hands, wiping them on her apron. She grabbed her wooden, and stuffed it in the batter. The fact that Lorina was still standing there made Airaka raise her head from her unmade cookies. "Is that all?" Airaka's head inclined, and a soft smile came to her face, which resulted in Lorina's arms crossing over her chest, and loud stamping noises, as she moved down the hall.

As Lorina entered the room she spotted Airaka staring at a large clock. She seemed grumpy, and flustered, which was a large contrast, Lorina thought, from her usual calm, quietness. There was no small smile on her face which she wore as she walked around the house, cleaning everything. She still wore her pajama's, her hair was a mess. It was all so weird. "What are you doing?!" Lorina's voice came loudly, seeming to shock Airaka, for the woman jumped. The guardian's head snapped to the girl, and, for a second, and for a second it looked like she was going to do something rash. But her face seemed to change in a flash. The smile returned, and her shoulders lifted up, before dropping. "Today I want to go somewhere." Airaka shook her head, and Lorina took a step foreword. There was no way the little girl would loose this challenge. Her hands were curled into fists, and held about chest. level. "And why not?" Airaka turned to face her and stood up in a swift motion, blinking at her, before shrugging her shoulders and starting toward the door. Lorina followed, watching her guardians weird movements. "Can I at least get the mail?" She watched a shiver shake through her guardian, and move into the kitchen area. "What do you want eat?: Airaka's voice was softer, weaker than usual. "Nothing." Airaka turned to face the girl, but she was gone, already haven torn open the door, and race toward the area with mail boxes. She was surprised to find that Airaka hadn't chased after her as she moved back into the apartment. There was a lot of mail today, from people she didn't know, and they were all addressed to Airaka. Airaka had an odd last name, Lorina couldn't figure out how to pronounce it. After a few seconds, she raised her head to see Airaka standing above her, and with a slight wince, she held up the mail. Airaka took them, rifled through them, then tossed them on the table. "Wha! All that mail is for you, and you just toss it one the table?!" "It's just junk mail, and bills." "Can I read them then?" Lorina was quicker than Airaka today, for it was the second time today Lorina had gotten something before Airaka could stop her. A few seconds later, something became clear to Lorina. "Airaka... When is your birthday?" "Today." Lorina looked up from the few letters she had pulled open, and saw Airaka sitting on the couch, fiddling with the remote. "Do you not like birthdays?" "Nope." Lorina got to her feet, and sat down next on the blue love seat next to Airaka. Airaka was sitting oddly, which made where ever you sat you would be forced to lean a little toward Airaka. "Why not?" Airaka shrugged her shoulders, and looked over at Lorina. Her blue eyes closed for more then a second, before opening. "Do you wanna go get ice cream?" A large smile came to Lorina's face, and she leaped off the couch, and raced to her room. In seconds, she was out and dressed. "Okay, I'm ready. How about you?: Airaka nodded, her small smile back, and even though she knew it would be throughly embarrassing Lorina stuck out one pale hand in Airaka's direction. Her guardian seemed surprised, she was starring at it for at least five minutes before Lorina grabbed her hand, and started tugging her outside.
