Elf walked in to the house and flopped down. Finally, everything was set up! The rooms were done, the basement was furnished and her few pets were settled in. The gardens were blooming and the plane and glider were stored in the hanger. Her books were shoved in the bookshelves, which was quite an accomplishment.

"Dernit! I forgot to eat!" Elf jumped up and ran to the kitchen.

Once there, she met four pairs of dragon eyes watching her expectently. The small woman counted them out, Iambe, Aquilo, Lanz, and Farai... Elf looked down at them, her hands on her hips, "I know I fed all of you, so do not give me that look! I put your needs above my own... and besides! The garden is blooming with vegetables that are just for great for the picking!"

The eyes were relentless, and the pilot could not look away, and only had one option: give in.

"Fine!" She skittered around the kitchen and made food for herself and a nummy sugary desert (the dragons all love sweet stuff) for the ever-so-unpatient dragons.

Phew, it had been awhile. Elf walked back into her house and threw the keys on the counter before crosses the living room to collapse on the couch. Immediately, a large yip could be heard and a blue and black mass of fur was on the humans lap.

"Gah! Azhure! Ger' off!" The woman avoided the lethal licking of the dach.

Azhure relented a little, jumping off the couch and lying contentedly by the woman's feet. The other animals came over as well, but they all kept their distance. One by one, they would welcome their mistress and friend home... for she had been gone for awhile.

Over the past six months, Elf had been on Vacation, touring different parts of the world. Seeing many great sites, and the strangest beings she had ever encountered, the human was happy to be home. The Halloween decorations were still up, and needed to be dismantled.

Some of the pets helped, allowing themselves to be some sort of pack-animal. With the collective work of them all, the house was back to its non-holiday appearance.

Elf was just about to sit down with a book when the door bell rang. The woman jumped up with a yelled, "Dinner time, everyone!"

Everyone raced to the door. The canines clustered around while the dragons floated at top. Everyone was excited for food!

Needless to say, the moving mass of fur was impassable. After several attempts, Elf found herself in the middle. A wing passed by her nose, and with her next step, the human had tripped and fallen.

"Ahhh! Don't step on me!" Elf announced from under them all. "My hair!" she yelled as a paw held her trapped her strands underneath.

The door! "Back, back I say! He may leave with out food!" She finally growled. At the threat of the food leaving, they all dispersed to the hallway and kitchen, watching intently.

Free, Elf opened the door and looked up to the deliveryman... er... woman. Sheepishly, the human got to her feet, "Uh, hi!"

The woman holding the pizzas snapped her gum and peered inside. Many sets of sparkling eyes looked hungrily back at her. With a shudder, she held out the bill, "You eating all this by yourself?"

Elf snorted, paying the woman. "I'll be lucky to even get a bite!"

"Whatever," the woman shrugged, handing over the boxes. As Elf shut the door, she mumbled something about feeding pizza to pets.

Turning around, the human glared at the creatures looking up at her. "Now, everyone, to my room! I'm putting in a movie and we will eat this like civilised beings!"

They all stared at eachother. She didn't honestly think...?

Atalanta made the first move, dive-bombing the woman. Then it was Minerva who tried to trip her up. Next came Iambe and Fisaei who wove around her hands. Azhure and Sinu made a combined effort as well, trying to move Elf forward to get unbalanced.

Needless to say, it worked. The human fell with a scream, and the pizza boxes skittered across the ground. "Don't get any sauce on the carpet, at least!" she pleaded. That request, they could all live with.

A bright red, gold, and black gryphon landed in front of Elf's house with a flurry of wings and a small cloud of dirt. He walked up to the front door, and carefully deposited a small bundle next to the door. With a small shake to resettle his feathers, he took off agian, causing another small dust-cloud in his wake.
