He opened his eyes. It was all blurry. He got up, propping his body up with his arm. Instantly a shot of pain arched up his entire arma dn shoulder. "AHHHHHH!!!!" he screamed, falling down onto his back again. He loked, and saw a gash in his right arm. He tried the left, and it was good. He felt as though he would barf. he tried to get up, and was able to at least hobble. he looked around, and saw tall brown things with greenish things on top... trees. He had trouble remembering the word for some reason. Then he remembered a very important word at that moment. Help. He opened his mouth, and was going to scream, but no words came out, only a dull croaking. He swallowed and tried again, "HELP!" he yelled. He screamed again and again, at the top of his lungs. It was hard to even do that, for the air was thin and it was hard to breathe.

Dooney's ears perked at the quiet talk going on beyond his alleyway. He was laying, back to the wall, on his side, when amber eyes opened. Nautica's gone.. His ears lay flat against the back of his head, releasing a slow grumbling growl. Nobody tells me anything anymore..
He sat up, shaking out his neck before stretching idly, tail pointing out behind him as he did so. He wondered whether he should leave the alleyway and track his younger. .. It certainly was like Runtly to be gone so long, but Nautica.. Well.
He yawned, canines gleaming in low filtered light. He'd wait awhile longer. He could not ascertain how far away the conversation was going on, but it wasn't close enough for him to understand, and even if it was, he wasn't the sort to eaves drop.
His ears perked again at the feline scream- the frequency alone was enough to signal danger. He stood, jogging out of the alley way, past Nautica and Bai without so much as a greeting, heading toward the woods where Runtly was foraging. The second scream- the croak for help- turned him sharp on his heel, heading toward an old dried up riverbed. Paws were quiet against pine needle and dead leaves, but the pebbly riverbed heralded his entrance.
He knelt beside the other, paw outstretched as if to pat him, or pick him up- but he wasn't sure which part of him was hurt..

Just as Bai was about to comment back to Nautica, she noticed Runtly running up towards them, smiling a bit as she spotted him. The young pup was quite adorable, and she'd always held a special place in her heart for him. Reaching over, she brushed some of the dirt off of his head and his ears, standing back a bit and dusting her hands,
"Runtly, we were just discussing you, pup". She used the name pup simply as a way to be sweet, not meaning anything demeaning by it. That wasn't her style, at least not towards Runtly. But she knew better than to let on too much how she felt towards him, especially around here, and especially with her brother being Blackeye.
Twitching her tail a little, she smiled again at the two boys, turning to head back towards her home, "Well I should be heading back, it was good to see you two, Nautica, Runtly". She grinned, waving a bit as she walked back towards her modest home.

Nautica sighed relieved at seeing runtly, reaching out his hand and brushing the dirt out of his hair like Bai had done. He shook his head at the pup, relieved that he was back, and had food with him. Dooney should be glad when they got back, hopefully their brother was still sleeping. "We were getting worried. What took you so long?"
The spotted great dane, looked over his shoulder for a moment, seeing the retreating figure of Dooney heading towards the forest. He perked his ears up curious at what could get their brother to stir. But again, he was distracted as Bai was saying her goodbyes. He looked up at Bai, and waved goodbye to her, "Bye Bai, we'll see you later."
He watched her for a moment before turning his attention back to Runtly, looking over the dirt, and leaves in Runtly's fur and hair. "You look like you fell into a hole. Are you okay?" He smiled and ruffled the pup's hair, "So what did you find Runtly?"

[[Boomboom, could you do both DK and I a favor and not post in such small text? I think our eyes are gonna die. ><;]]
Runtly gave a small smile and a murr at all the attenion, saying goodbye to Bai, and then turning his attention and excitement to Nautica.
"I DID fall down a hole! And I fell onto this.. Ledge.. And I found a human city! Can we go! Please! I re-" Runtly's ears twitched.
"Did you hear that?" His face twitched to a look of worry, turning to the direction of where Dooney had headed.
"Kind of sounded like a scream."

Blackeye stuck his head out of the window of his apartment. Eye's blinking in the light Blackeye looked around his long ears hanging down. Looking down he spoted Runty and Nautica talking and Bai walking towards her house. "Hey Runt" Blackeye called down as he lit his cigaret, "hey Nautica did either of you just here a scream" Blackeye took a pull of his cigaret and let the smoke fill his lungs and the nicotine start to flow through him in a wave. Letting the smoke out Blackeye gave a small sigh of contentment.

Dooney at first scared the newcomer, not knowing who he was. The gash on his left upper arm was still bleeding. His leg appeared not to be doing very good either. Otherwise, his entire body was covered with small cuts and scrapes which had covered and dried on his light tan fur. Pine needles and leaves stuck to this as well as a light coating of sand and dirt. "Help..." he croaked, reaching out with his good arm for the dog-like person. He almost tripped, but was able to catch hold of him.

((Sorry ^^; . I'm used to small text for some reason... I don't know why considering that I have bad eyesight redface ))
The great dane's body stiffened at the mention of a human city. He bit the inside of his lip, Dooney's reaction to this request coming to his mind. He blinked and was inwardly relieved as Runtly became distracted, he looked down the street and nodded.
He glanced at Blackeye for a moment, "Uhm... Yeah. Dooney went to go check it out..." He looked down to runtly, "We better go see if he needs help."

The Runt's ears folded back against his head with a sigh. He didn't know if he wanted to go see what it was.
Regardless, he sucked in some air for his lungs and trotted in the direction Dooney had gone, his tail slowly coming to a stop between his legs when he saw what all the commotion was.
Runtly had never seen anyone in that kind of shape before. Didn't even remember seeing any blood before. He took a few steps back and turned on his heels to call for Nautica.
"Nauticaaa..! Come hel-" And then he has to swallow back the food that had decided to come up from his stomach.
[[thank you, boomboom]]

Dooney's nose twitched as he took in scent in short bursts, leaning over to further inspect his wounds. He shook his head slowly back and forth, gingerly sliding his hand beneath the cat-creature's neck to lift his face upward, his tail wagging back and forth, low, stiff movements- not to signify happiness, but to signify acceptance.
"Runtly-" He called afterward the younger one, frowning. He didn't think that Runtly could handle carrying him, even though the youngest was probably more than strong enough. "Have Nautica bring water."

Runtly closed his eyes, his hands over his mouth while he swallowed the largest lump of gross stuff he ever remembered swallowing. He mumbled an "okay" and bolted off for Nautica, eager to get away from the scene.
Once back with his older brother, he panted; not from being tired, but from the effort of not throwing up. Shaking his head, he finally looked Nautica in the eyes and stated gruffly, "Dooney found a cat that's all beaten up and wants you to bring water..."

Nautica had ran after Runtly, but of course was slower, not having the grace his other brothers had for avoiding tree branches. After a few close calls, he finally thought he got the hang of it, running that is. He stopped as Runtly started running back towards him, he gave gave a perplexed look before slowing down to stop next to Runtly.
"Yeah sure... I know there's a stream near here." He went to leave and paused for a moment, "Runtly, just relax here okay." He gave a grim smile before starting to run again to get water.
Coming to the stream Nautica blinked as he realized he didn't have anything to carry it with. He looked up and down, and smiled as he jumped over some stones, slipping with his foot getting drenched. But he grabbed what he had seen, an empty water bottle, most likely from a camper that got away. He filled the bottle up, and was soon running again. Passing Runtly, he ran towards Dooney, stopping and panting, holding out the water.
He took a few deep breaths before he took a look at the cat, "Oh my... What happened to him?"
((gah... I feel like I'm not playing him correctly.))

The creature looked around. His head was giving him great pain. Everything around him was blurring like a watercolor picture falling into some more water. He fought with this, trying to keep conciousness. He looked at the big face above him. "Where... is... this? Who are- who are you?" he asked with great difficulty. The gap between each word was filled with a gasp, and a moment when he had to remember what the correct words were, what they meant.

[[Well. Nautica's incredibly smart about everything. So he probably wouldn't be wondering what was making him sneeze, and would probably be able to figure out what happened to Kaiser's character after a few seconds. Other than the being insanely smart part, you've got everything down pat. ^_^]]
Runtly nodded, and watched what was going on from his place. One ear come up, and the kid decided to jog back home, to Bai. He wanted to see if she knew about howling before asking Nautica's second opinion.
This whole ordeal with the cat was making him a little self-concious, and Runtly felt a little more comfortable around Bai than his brothers.

Dooney's brow furrowed forward, exhaling sharply through his nose. "Calm down." He lay the feline's head down gently, turning to face Nautica. "I'm not sure. I heard him scream from the alley. I don't know how long he's been out here, hence the water.. but.. if I had to guess, I'd say it was.." He tilted his head. "Perhaps a bear. Or a human. I can't imagine how a cat wouldn't be able to outrun either."
He opened his paw to take the water bottle from Nautica, tilting the cat's head forward to pour a little into his open maw, slowly as he could. "Please swallow."
His ears were folded tightly against his head, black stringy hair hanging down over his face, watching the feline intently. He pulled the bottle up, turning toward Nautica. "I'm not sure what we should do with him.. but we can't leave him here."
