In the episode with keroro it says kelalas a girl.....but yeah that was a filler...but in any form my best guess would be female....I dont really think a guy is gonna go "Meow!" or something everytime they enter battle.... xp

Kirara is a girl. i believe it says so in one of the episodes: the one where Kirara jumps into either Sango's or Kohaku's arms and they say " how have you been, girl?" I think.

She's female but i've read fanfics where she was male. One was a disturbing erotic fanfic that envolved Kirara + Inuyasha who is in heat....totally wrong on so many levels.

Kirara is a girl, I heard in one episode, Inuyasha called Kirara "she" so..I guess she is a female hehe
