I'm doing about the same; but suddenly my arm is moving at a better range; it gives me hope. I'll be glad when this heat ends so I can enjoy outdoors once more.
If you're ok in doing so, can we take this to a thread instead? My pm box is always in danger of completely filling up after so many years on Gaia. Here's the thread where I've been chatting with friends while Babyboo is on hiatus; it's a long running thread of mine. I'm sure you have quite the story to tell.
I'm guessing you're going to see a lot of night life on your travels then. It makes sense to take advantage of the cool of the morning and then the evenings even if they're still warm. A lot of people in very hot countries sleep during the heat of the day, something to consider. I hope you're having a great time regardless. I know you're having a grand adventure!
Speaking of heat, we're in the middle of an epic heat wave here where we've had days for well over a week over 105 and topping out at 113F! Even the mornings are too warm to get out in; hitting 80 before 8 am most days. I am missing my nature walks but we only have less than a week to go before things cool off a bit. Then maybe I'll have a window of an hour or so below 80 to go nature walking again. It's been over 2 weeks as we did have one day cool enough 10 days ago but we had morning appointments so weren't free, sigh.
That's quite the change and into another high stress field. Have you also looked at other medical professions? Many are not quite so stressful and could work out very well.
I guess thank goodness for a/c in truly hot and humid seasons. Maybe use jet lag to good effect and do a lot of your touring very early in the mornings and sleep during the heat of the day? What a grand adventure you're going on!
That's a total change. What areas are you considering? It's another broad area there will never be a shortage of opportunities in, that's for sure.
Doing my best in what is shaping up to be a very hot summer with a bad fire season.
Ah, visiting several countries. I bet you're really looking forward to that.
What kind of professions are you considering?
Oh yes, it's 101 right now as I reply. We stayed inside today. I knew this was going to be one of those hot summers and it's panning out that way.
Pt is a slow process when it comes to a virally damaged arm; so slow it can get discouraging. It's looking like a year or more long process and I'm 7 months into it. Still, I've gone from no functionality at all to about half function and that makes life loads easier.
Oh good news! I know you were not happy with your job. Are you going on an extended vacation? What parts are you traveling to? And what next when you return, a change of profession?
Things are about the same here, still doing pt, working to get my arm fully back, going out in nature when weather and schedule permit (harder now that it's getting hot), daily life stuff.
