Takeko laughed loudly, arms wrapped tightly around her mate's waist. "Oh, can you? Though, this isn't it. Afterall, your eyes haven't been wandering..."
Pausing, she narrowed her eyes, failing the hide the sparkle within. "...have they?"

Aspen laughed, "Oh, well...I was hoping this was it." He kissed the top of her head and smelled her goregous hair.
"Me, have wandering eyes? Never!" He barely realized that other females existed on the isle. In his eyes it was only ever her.

"No such luck," Takeko smirked. "You'd just better hope I never have to use any of my ideas," she threatened playfully.
Planting her hands on either sides of his head, she hovered over Aspen for a moment, grinning devilishly. "You'd better mean that," she winked, leaning in and giving him one doozy of a kiss.

Aspen chuckled, "Well, then I'll be extra careful." He smiled up at her. He liked this playful odd she was in.
"Oh course, I mean it." He said just before she gave him a really great kiss. He put his hands on the back of her neck and returned the favor.

Takeko's kiss was long and drawn out. She savored the moment for as long as possible before breaking away for air. Smiling warmly, she lingered for a moment hovering inches above Aspen's lips before sitting back. Her feathery wings fluttered lightly, making a soft rustling sound.
"I believe I've made my point," she quipped, grinning cheekily.

Aspen's hand continued to rub her head and then rub her back as she gave him the best kiss he had ever experienced.
"Wow, is all I can say." Aspen gasped for air and then sat up to kiss her again. "How about another one os those?" Was there any wonder why he loved this girl so much? Nope!

Takeko grinned, leaning in close. Debating between the two possible responses that came to her mind, she lingered teasingly close to Aspen's lips as she whispered. "Gotta' make me."
With that, she giggled and leapt to her feet, taking off down the riverbank with a burst of speed one would normally see from a youngster. Perhaps it was true what they said.
You really are as young as you feel.

Aspen pouted as she ran away, "Hey, no fair!" He jumped up and took off after her. She wasn't going to get away with teasing him like that!

Takeko laughed, tossing a teasing glance over her shoulder. She had the lead for now...but how long could she keep it?
"All's fair, baby!" she called back, grinning as she fluttered her wings a bit, shaking out the feathers.

"Oh, really now?" He thought about it and then took her lead by flapping his wings and catching up a bit faster.
"Hey, there!" He chuckled as he was flying right next to her all ready to pounce, but instead he decided to see what she would do. Would she fly or let herself get pounced?

((Just going to throw in a light reference of the current plot mentioned. We can either continue as we have, or switch gears to let them consider and deal with it. I'll let you decide, Spooky.))
Luckily, Takeko had already prepped her wings to take to the air. Spreading her wings wide, she flapped powerfully several times, feet lifting off the ground though she still looked like she was running for a moment. She stayed low to the ground, gliding along and shooting a playful look over to Aspen.
"Up for a game of Follow the Leader, dear?" Giggling, she shot off in a different direction, skimming low over the river's surface. She grinned, letting her fingers trail lightly in the water before picking up a bit more altitude. "Catch me if you can!" she called back, darting between a couple of fallen logs that created a rough sort of archway.
Distant screeching caught her attention for a moment and Takeko shot a concerned glance to the side. That direction...Dragnid? She had to admit, they couldn't be far from the cursed forest by now. They would have to take care to keep their distance. Something about that forest had always bothered her, but now...that feeling was stronger than ever before.

((We can do whatever you want. I'll let you know though, that Aspen has heard horrible stories from his mother about Dranid and won't step foot inside that forest.))
Aspen laughed as she asked him to play. "Sure, sounds great to me!" He followed her and touched the water with his fingers. "Do you catch the leader in follow the leader?"
He heard the screech and turned to look. He knew it was in Dragnid and hoped Takeko didn't want to find out what was going on, because, well, he hated that forest. It was horrible to his family and he didn't want it to do further damage.

((No problem, dear. *winks* Takeko's not one to just spontaneously dash off into Dragnid anyway.))
Unconsciously slowing as she concentrated on the strange sound and feelings, Takeko soon dropped back to Aspen's side without realizing it at first. What was that? The sound didn't repeat, though an eerie stillness hung on the air instead.
Finally, realizing she wasn't alone anymore, she turned to her mate. "You heard it too, then? I didn't imagine it?" She was frowning, obviously concerned and growing upset. She hated the normal feeling that forest gave off, and now it seemed ten times worse.
Normally, she'd just ignore it and stay away from the area. But a troubling thought had entered her mind. What if some poor Pae'il, especially a child, didn't sense the malice radiating from that forest and just...wandered in? Or even worse...something wandered out?

((Lol! Btw, you interested in Aspen and Takeko getting married? Just thought I would seew here you stood on the idea.))
Aspen stood by his mate and put his hand on her shoulder. "Yeah, I heard it. Maybe we should get away from here?" He really didn't want to linger here. He hated the forest on normal days, but it was worse now.

Takeko was torn at first, still worried by the thought that some Pae'il might wander into the forest unawares. Her mate's worry cut through her thoughts, however, and she turned back to him with a frown of concern. "Yes, I suppose we should," she nodded in agreement.
She took his hand, turning back towards their home. Luckily, they'd made their home far from the forest itself, so they'd be safe once there. She only hoped everyone else on the isle would be too. Glancing back over her shoulder once more, she said a silent prayer to the Guardians to watch over the inhabitants of Telrunya. She'd have to trust in them for now to keep watch over the forest. What could she do, anyway? Spreading her wings, she prepared to head for home. She had to watch over her family for now...that was enough for her to handle.
