Ailein woke up in his own bed and stared at the celling, blinking. He'd just been... No, no. That was all a simple dream... a very odd and realistic dream. His neck hurt just thinking about it. He ran his fingers up to his neck and paused when they hit a necklace. "Wh-what?"
His honey eyes widened as he sat up. It had... happened? He was really going to have a Goddess as a child? He felt like passing out but instead got up and looked into the mirror. A heart with wings... "Aa-ww... Its kind of c-c-ut-cute...Do-do-does th-that ma-make m-m-me g-gay?" He slumped down onto his bed and continued to play with it.
This was the start of a new life. One he was very nervous about. Would the kid stutter like he did?

"E-ex-excuse m-m-me si-sir?" Ailein sat down on his bed and stared at the new abundance of stuff filling his room. He had everything from diapers to a changing table, to a crib. All of it neatly set up in his room.
"Yes Mr. Periphery?"
The boy trembled and swallowed hard. Talking to his boss was never easy. He could hear the lack of interest in the man's voice. "I-I-I n-need t-to ta-talk ab-about a pa-pay ra-raise."
Laughter bellowed over the phone. "No offense, Ailein, but I don't see a reason to give you one. You've worked hard, of course... but right now the company can't afford it and I don't have a valid reason such as a position change to give it to you. And after all with your...lifestyle." Because you look like a woman and I think you're gay. "It just doesn't seem to work out." I wouldn't be caught dead giving it to you.
"O-of cou-course s-sir." The green haired male dropped the phone and sniffled. How was he supposed to take care of his daughter now? His eyes trailed to the papers on his desk. A resume... if that b*****d didn't want to give him a pay raise then fine. There were other of jobs he was qualified for! Not just a secretary! With a determination that he'd never felt before, the man sat down and got to work.
A few hours later he'd dropped his resume everywhere that he could think of. Working at the same job for three years and having only good references helped a lot. He had a few jobs already in the works... Another secretarial job, a house maid, a dog watcher... none of them were too promising and he blamed it on his stutter.
He'd lost all hope that he'd have a good enough job to support his new addition until the phone rang. "Mr. Periphery?"
"Y-yes...?" The man asked, fixing up the mobile with a few Disney characters on them. It played a nice song: If I never knew you.
"We really loved the art you submitted. I would like to hire you as a graphic designer."
"Re-really?"
The man simply continued on, "It'll pay ten dollars an hour--"
Ailein smiled widely. "T-te-ten? Th-tha-that's per-perfect!"
"Glad to hear it! When can you start?"
The boy glanced around at all of the stuff laid out neatly around his room. The diapers, the changing table and to the crib. A smile crept onto his face as he realized he'd taken charge and done what needed to be done. "A-As so-soon a-as yo-you wa-want!"
"Great! Because there's this idea--"
A silent thank you went to the man's relic as he sat down to draw.

Ailein smiled to himself as he posted a new art project on the wall. It was a sketch of the girl Dia had shown him. She was holding a puppy and smiling with those huge and happy eyes. The boy brushed his across it and removed a bit of the eraser markings before settling down into his bed. Maybe his luck was changing? With a sigh the boy closed his eyes and started to dream.
As he slept his soul floated above his body, this time luckily only asleep. The relic glowed warmly around his neck as he floated their watching his body sleep, when suddenly in the middle of the room, a door appeared. It was huge and strange and not supposed to be there-especially not in the middle of the room floating in midair-but the relic around his neck seemed to beckon him towards it.
"Yo-you want me to-to go thr-through...?" He stared down at his own body and frowned. "I-I do loo-look like a g-irl..." He was prepared for this. Diyaka had warned him it would happen. He touched his fingers to the relic and went to the door, reaching out his hand to open it.
When he had finally passed through it he found himself in an elegant banquet hall. The young girl whom he had seen in the book, lay sprawled in her tipped over seat. She must have leaned back when the poison took her and fallen. The poor thing looked so peaceful and innocent. The door had vanished behind him, leaving him no choice but to remain in the room with the lifeless form of the woman. The relic around his neck seemed to draw him towards her.
Ailein floated over the the girl. Was she sleeping...? His eyes went to the chair then her prone form. Something horrible had happened... He knelt down with tears starting to slide down his face. "I-its al-alright... you-you can wak-wake up no-now...." He hesitated then reached his hand down to take hers. "I'm so-sorry..."
As he touched the figure-which when he felt it was cold-it began to heat up and glow blindingly. The relic started doing so as well and quite suddenly it's weight was gone-having shot into the body like a beam of light. This action caused the figure to shrink for a while. But when the light and shrinking stopped there was still warmth though not as much. There sitting before him was an adorable baby form of the girl he'd seen there moments before. She was sitting up and blinking at him cheerfully, reaching up her arms to be held.
More tears poured from his eyes as he lifted her up. "Oh! Ar-aren't yo-you ad-adorable!" He exclaimed hugging her close to himself. "My-my little Do-Dolly..." He whispered then glanced around. Where was he supposed to go with the innocent child?
The door however, accommodated him by reappearing, wide open, to let him and the sweet little girl, go back to their bodies and wake up.
"Co-come al-along Dolly!" He nervously glanced over his shoulder at the chair and the room as he started off. Who ever did this... he hoped they felt guilt like no other. He escaped through the doors, stroking his new daughter lovingly.

Cafe TwinsQuote: "Ma!" A little girl shouted excitedly. "Please, please call me 'dada'." The boy-was it a boy?- frowned at the girl beside him. She was covered in a large blanket, expanded by her huge ears but it held her well enough. The 'father' had long green hair and huge honey eyes, and seemed very feminine. His long fingers gripped a pencil, sending it flying across the paper. He was drawing a woman and her two twins, hopefully un-noticed. "Mama!" "Its Dada! Please!" Quote: After a brief moment of patience, her's almost instantly vanished, as if never existing. "Why must you always eat bad things, Tai?!" There was a cry of distress as the boy got the cup taken away from him, though it was obvious the teen could care less. "What happened last time you ate something you shouldn't have. You got a really bad stomach ache, didn't you?" Even without a reply, the woman sighed and picked the boy off the table and set him in her lap along with the other child. "Why can't you be more like your sibling? Not obnoxious." "Oh Isdra, be nice to them," at the deep voice, both boys perked up and turned to look at the person it came from. The cafe owner, a man in his thirties, walked out from behind the counter and toward the pink haired teen and her kids. "Here yeah go. Eat this little dudes." Handing them both a muffin, he smiled and ruffled their mother's hair, giggling slightly devilishly. "I hate you, I hope you know that. Why did you give them those half an hour ago, Dimitri?!" While gumming his muffin to death, Marik, the quieter of the two boys, watched his mother argue. Although, that quickly lost his interest. It didn't take him long to spot his bother, who, unfortunately for Isdra, was covered in muffin. Marik found that to be incredibly amusing and started laughing along with his sibling. Even the cleaner of the blond haired boys managed to get muffin caked in the pink tips of his hair. "Why are you so messy?! Greyling and Arowana wer-... well.... maybe Grey, but never Arowana, were this messy!" Quote: Ailein couldn't help the high pitched giggle that escaped him from the scene. His daughter copied his laugh and tried to sneak out of the chair as her father concentrated on making sure to get the muffin bits into the drawing. The blanket slipped off, revealing her huge mouse-like ears and animal like features. Some patrons of the cafe stopped talking to stare at the baby crawling to the others. "Dolly no!" The boy stood and quickly swooped in, picking her up. "Don't wonder off... You might get hurt..." He flushed deeply, ignoring the stares of those around him. Plus the occasional whisper of 'what did HE mate with'. Oh dear... Quote: Both boys turned and looked toward the girl who stumbled out of the blanket. Having cousins and close family who had strange body parts, the babies weren't alarmed at all. But the crowd of this cafe, as much as it bothered the owner, was alarmed and made an annoying rucas(sp?). "Gah." Marik pointed to the girl, stating something, although no one could be quite sure what. Tai just giggled and waved a muffin covered hand at girl and her father. Being alarmed by the sudden 'gah' from beside her, the tattooed teen stopped arguing and looked at the boys and where the silent of the two was pointing. A quick look at the man and then his child, she instantly turned to look at the mumbling people and growled. "Oh shut up, will you! Who cares what a child looks like! You damage their mental state much more then they disturb you by your mumbles. People aren't deaf!" While some took offense and left, some looked down quietly, and others growled. One had the animosity to stand and cuss at her. "It's inhuman! It shouldn't be here." SLAP! was all the woman received from Isdra in reply. "Get out. You're a ******** moron. I don't like morons in my cafe." Although it wasn't her cafe, she knew Dimitri didn't have a problem with a comment by the look on his face. She was practically a daughter to him and seemed to have pride in the fact that she stood up for other people. "I apologize. Most people here aren't used to... other races." Quote: "Ri-right..." He responded with a murmured apology. He started to gather his things, keeping his head low in shame of causing so much trouble. Dolly had began to cry at the sudden noise and buried herself into her father's pink shirt. "Mama!" "Shh, its al-alright..." He whispered not bothering to correct her. He placed the blanket back around her and stroked one of her ears. "We'll leave and there'll be no more noise. I promise." He cooed, taking the drawings and smiling at the woman softly. "Here, you can have these..." He presented humorous and detailed sketches of her children to her. "I hop-hope you do-don't mi-mind." Quote: "Oh lord! I'm so sorry! I made her cry! I didn't mean to cause you problems. I hate it when people do that to others. I've had them do it to my baby brothers and my sister and it just makes me sooooo angry," she muttered covering her mouth. It made her felt horrible that she had made the little girl cry and embarrassed the girls father. "Please, don't leave. I...I... I give you free coffee!" In the background she heard Dimitri mutter something about never agreeing to that, but she knew he didn't really mind. Turning, she walked quickly toward the counter and reached over it into the muffin box. A quick reach and slight cry of pain and she had two muffins in one hand and a scratch on her collar bone. "Um... Blueberry and chocolate..." It didn't take her much longer the walk back to the man and child and hand the man one. Holding the other in her hand for a moment, she leaned over and slightly rubbed the top of girl's head, getting her to turn. "Here 'ya go. Have a muffin, little one." When she looked up she noticed the man was offering her something. Beautiful sketches of her children and her, in their normal state. "Wow... These are... Amazing! Thank you, sooo much!" Quote: He took the muffin with a sweet smile and placed it on the table."You-you're hu-hurt..." He said offhandedly, with a frown, reaching up his hand and carefully wiping it with his thumb. He made no motion to leave now. He'd upset her... Or was it the other way around? He wasn't really sure anymore. Another smile found its way onto his face as she gave him the compliments. "I-I-I cou-couldn't re-resist dra-drawing the-them." "Mama..." The girl's tears started to dissipate as she held up the muffin, mouth open. He nodded and broke pieces off for her, placing it into her mouth with care. Quote: A slight blush came to her face when he rubbed her scratched, but she didn't say anything about Halcyon. The man seemed very unsettled as it was and she didn't want to cause him more uncomfortable happenings. "It's fine. I hurt myself all the time. I even once fell into a box of tongs," she jested, hoping it was lessen the awkwardness between the two of them. "But, again, thank you so much. They're amazing. You draw so wonderfully. Come, sit." She lightly took his hand, leaving her hand loose enough that he could pull away at anytime. Even is he did let go, she attempted to lead him to the table and offered him a sit that wasn't taken. Marik watched the entire happens, but, being only a baby, understood none of it. All he knew was the big eared girl was crying and coming over to their table. "Mif." He bluntly said again and pointed at her. Though this time he turn his hand so his palm was facing upward and opened it, offering one of the many friendship bracelets his bored mother had made for the twins. They hard worn them, or at least Tai had, but Marik quickly took them off. It seemed they bothered him a bit, so he threw them next to himself on the seat. "Eh." His arm reached out a bit farther and he leaned forward a bit. Quote: Ailein blushed even more when she took his hand but didn't pull away. It was rare for him to have contact with anyone so this was a treat. "I-I-I'm cl-clumsy to-too!" He sat down and pulled his little girl into his lap, stroking her pink hair. "Tha-thank you fo-for your k-kindness..." "Gah!" The little girl squealed, her tears instantly dry as she reached out to take the bracelet. So pretty.... When she couldn't reach it her eyes watered and she tugged on her father's shirt. "Mmm!" "Ah I s-see!" He reached forward and plucked the bracelet out of the boy's hand, offering it to Dolly. She took it and cooed, playing with it and chewing on it lightly. She smiled at the other baby and giggled as a thank you. "A-ad-adorable k-kids!" Quote: Although he was quite happy that she liked the bracelet, the boy didn't show it. A simple nod was all he offered before eating another piece of muffin. "He's quite the silent one. I'm slightly amazed he attempted to cheer her up... I'm Isdra. This is Marik," a motion toward the present offering boy, "and that's Tai," a motion toward the giggling, muffin covered boy. Offering a hand toward him, she smiled, "Nice to meet you. I'm sorry about causing such a drama over people earlier. I really am." Feeling a tad left out, Tai threw a piece of muffin toward the girl. It was his way of offering something, but unfortunately, it was a very unpleasant way of doing it. "Oh gosh! I'm so sorry! Tai! What do you think you were doing?! You don't throw food, 'ya little bozo." The last part was said with love, not as an insult to the small child. "Thanks to that, you don't get any more muffin," that was all she said before taking the rest of the muffin away from the infant. Reaching toward her, he attempted to get her to give it back but she just shook her had. Tears formed when he realized that was the end of his muffin eating for the time being. Quote: He took her hand when she offered it with that same soft smile on his face. "Ai-Ailein... You-you'll ha-have to for-forgive my st-stutter... I ca-can't get r-rid of it." He glanced at the twins and shook his head. "Dolly attr-attracts a lo-lot of atten-t-tion." Dolly blinked in surprise when she suddenly assaulted by muffinygoodness. She let out a purrish sound and chucked the muffin right on back. This was a fun game! She giggled happily and chewed happily. Her teeth were starting to come in. "Dolly! Do-don't thro-throw things ple-please!" "Mama!" "Its Dada! Please say 'dada!'" Quote: A giggle erupted at his muttering about Dolly, but it could easily be mistaken for a laugh at his stuttering comment. "Oh. I wasn't laughing at your stuttering, I swear. I was laughing at what you said about Dolly, assuming that's her name. I'm very used to attracting attention. My siblings, all with odd traits like her's, and myself do the same thing." As an example of how she drew attention by bending her arms in an incredibly disturbing position. "I'm very double jointed. Draws quite a bit of attention when I sit with my legs and arms twisted weird, if you know what I mean." Sighing at the toddlers, Isdra stuck her hand under her chin in defeat. "Well... That didn't work." Watching the toddlers, she noticed Marik had no interest in the activity, but watched from his seat. Though, when his sibling crawled over and grabbed a piece of his muffin he quickly got angry. "KAW!" He shouted at the other blond boy and pushed him over into Isdra's leg. "Hey! No fighting!" Grabbing the slightly shocked hyper twin, she placed him on the other side of her lap while leaving Marik on his side. "Ugh. Too much to pay attention to," rolling her eyes, she barely caught his comment about Dada and laughed. "Being addressed as the wrong gender? How did that one happen?" Quote: The boy merely grinned and nodded. "I-I kno-know what you me-mean..." He turned a deep pink at the mention of the gender problem. "We-well you s-see... I.... erm... I so-sometimes we-wear....... dre-resses... and my sis-sister got her started call-calling me 'mama' instead of da-da..." "Mama!" "See?" Quote: A slight giggle escaped the teen as she heard had he'd gotten the problem. "Sounds like something I'd do. Torment a sibling by having their kid call them something else." She felt is was appropriate to leave the dress comment untouched. They'd only just met and it would be really rude to bring that up, even if she was mean, she wasn't that mean. "Did that to my dad, too, though. He wanted me to call him 'daddy,' I called him 'pops.' An affectionate nickname." Quote: "Well mi-mine is a bi-bit more of a pr-problem..." He stroked the girl's head as she gnawed away. "I do-don't mi-mind it re-really at ho-home but... a-a-around other pe-people its st-strange..." He gave her another warm smile and withdrew a sketch book from under his seat, flipping it open. "Ho-hold on..." With that he was sketching away while staring at Tai. Quote: "Tsk, tsk. See, there's your problem, hun. It only matters what people think when you actually care what they think," she pointed out as she looked down at Tai and sighed. "I don't see how they can be interesting to draw. Epically when they're covered in muffin." While the man drew the tot', Tai continued to give Isdra puppy dog eyes in an effort to get her to give him his muffin back. "Fine!" With that, she turned grabbing the muffin and giving it back to the pleading child. "God." Quote: "Well I f-find dra-drawing re-relaxes me... Plus the-theyre very li-lively!" He gave her a wide smile, now purely relaxed with her there. "As for the last comment. That's what they are. Not like we can hold back anything from them." Dolly cooed and tugged on his shirt. "Mama? Si-si?" "N-no, no-not now D-Dolly." He replied pausing long enough to ruffle her hair. "Si-si!" "No..." Quote: A brief nod in agree and Isdra went on with what she was saying, "Well, yeah bu- What?! How do you know that?!" She didn't even know when there was another scroll around her, let alone someone knowing what her kids were. This instantly had her on guard. Not that she showed it of course, she just kept her normal, well, now shocked expression on and worried about the comment he had made. Quote: Ailein glanced up and frowned. "Well I ... when you me-mentioned you-your fa-family at-attracted at-attention..." He coughed and uneasily moved in his chair. "Do-Dolly only re-really resp-responds to oth-other Go-Gods or Go-d-dess..." Dolly nodded as if in agreement then snuggled up against his chest. "Gah..." "So-sorry I ju-just a**-assumed..." Quote: "I was just incredibly shocked that someone knew off the bat. I was born from a scroll and I can't even tell when someone who was born the same way is near me without asking," she sighed and looked at the kids, letting down her guard again, "It's fine, though. Just alarmed me." It was more reassurance for herself, and less for him. Noticing Marik was slightly close to the end of the booth, she picked him up and put him in her lap. It gave her an excuse to pick up one of them, which out being to obvious that she just wanted them near. Quote: "I-I sho-should go..." He said softly gathering his things once again. "T-thank you fo-for your ki-kindness. So-sorry to have al-al-alarmed you..." Dolly gave him a soft whine but he shook his head and picked her up. "Mama...." "It-its al-alright. Ma-ma's ri-right here." He swept her up in his arms. "So-so-sorry a-a-bout the comm-commotion" Quote: "You don't have to go if you don't want. I'm sorry. Things have been abit... unsettling for me as of late. I'm really jumpy because of it." At this point she was less caring as to weather he left or not. The correct 'assumption' had alarmed her way too much to be comfortable so easily. "And the commotion was my fault. Not yours." Marik settled happily in his mothers lap, still gnawing on his muffin.
