Silverstrike Alchemist
You know. Your storyline is practically boosted from Spiral. I don't think that you would kill off Aelita. You've done that before. It could possibly be Jeremy. Or Ayumu. Or XANA. I've only watched up to episode six of Spiral so I can think of only three Blade Children.

I said right from the start that it was a direct rip-off of Spiral for the first few episodes. The story does drastically change down the road though.

By the way... where are you finding your Spiral episodes? Youtube keeps removing them... I have the first four DVDs but I know you don't. By they way, there are a total of five Blade Children, although the last two aren't introduced until quite a bit later.

For those who have no clue, the first of the blade children will appear in Code SPIRAL, episode 3.

Heh, you've gotten my creative juices flowing now, Zaber. I'm going to put my original concept of my RP character into a story. XD Well, I'll try to, at least. I don't have much confidence in my storytelling abilities.

Code SPIRAL 02 - endless net [Part 2]

Jeremy's father knocked on his door at 5:02. Jeremy answered the door eagerly and welcomed him in with a hug. He only rarely saw his father, especially since he had begun to spend the summers at school to thwart Xana.
"So..." Jeremy asked after a few minutes. "why did you get tranferred here?"
"Well, you wouldn't know because you haven't been around, but in my last precinct..." His father began to explain, but hesitated. "I don't mean to brag, but I was really well known for solving the toughest, coldest mysteries. And they had a few of those here they wanted me to solve. I can't go into details about it though, or I could get in trouble."
"It's OK. I understand. So how long are you going to be around?"
"Until they're solved. And that could be a while." His father said mellowly. "But we'll be able to spend plenty of time together on the weekends. Anyways, how's school going? I heard there was some excitement here a few days ago..."
"Oh yeah... it was pretty bad..." Jeremy prepared to explain what had happened during the incident, when his father's cell phone rang.
"Hold on a second." His father held up a hand as the flipped the phone open. "Hello? Chief?" He said.
"Belpois, I'm afraid I need to call you back. We just caught Morales. I want you to head up interagation."
"Understood sir."
"He was stupid enough to come back to the campus. He's being detained in the admin office."
"I'm at the school already, visiting with my son. All be right there." He hung up the phone. "Sorry Jeremy, I'm needed. Let's go for lunch tomorrow." He said dissapointedly. He had been hoping he could spend more time before he got wrapped up in work again. He stepped outside with a casual goodbye and hurried down the hall towards the office. Jeremy sighed. One of the reasons he'd been shipped off to the academy in the first place was that his father simply never had the time. He was used to it. He laid down on his bed and tried to relax a bit.

Jim sat in the principal's office, completely bewildered. He'd woken up around noon on the other end of town, in a dumpster. His memory, blacked out since he had fallen asleep Tuesday evening, and it was now Friday. Of course, he hadn't known that when he had walked a few, stumbling miles back to the campus. the surprises only continued as he found himself tackled and handcuffed by a quartet of police officers. He now sat, handcuffed and confused, in the principal's office.
"What's going on here?!?!" Jim demanded as he struglled to break free.
"Shut up!" Shouted the police officer who was interogating him. "What the hell do you think you're going to do by playing dumb? You know exactly what this is about."
"No I don't!" Jim pleaded. "And believe me I know about a lot of things... wildlife photography, sky diving, pyrotechnics... but I'd rather not talk about it. Now why am I being arrested?" The officer gave him a fierce glare as he picked up a file and threw it onto the table in front of Jim, flipping it open to reveal crime scene photos from where Aelita had fallen.
"You are charged with fleeing from the police and the attempted murder of Aelita Stones." The officer said grimly as Jim stared at the file, gaping.
"But I didn't..."
"Two days ago, sufficent evidence was found to prove that you plotted and executed a complicated plan to murder her in a way that would maintain your innocence. It's a small miracle we figured out it was you... I must say, for a gym teacher you were pretty damn smart about it." The officer stared Jim down, who was in too much shock to respond.

Ayumu lay in the flower bed under the window sill of the principal's office, listening in, undetected and relaxed.
"You didn't figure it out..." Ayumu muttered. "I did." But he quickly silenced himself again as he closed his eyes and continued to listen.

Jeremy's father arrived, and was breifed in a hushed whisper by the officer, who then left the room, leaving Jim and Jeremy's father alone. Jim was still cuffed to his chair, staring at the photos. Jeremy's father took a deep breath, and then threw out a line to Jim.
"My name is Thomas Belpois. I'm the inspector in charge of this case as of now." He stated firmly. "Now... we can do this two ways. You can explain yourself right here and now... and I can put in a good word for you and get you a reduced sentence or some other type of clemency. Or, we can drag this out over a dozen years of legal proceedings at which point the truth won't matter at all. If you take the first route, you'll be out on parole before your trials would be over in the second route." Jim simply stared at him.
"I... I didn't do it..."
"Then why did you run from the police?"
"I... I don't remember any of this." Jim stated truthfully. "The last thing I remember was taking a nap Monday afternoon..." It was now Friday.
"I find that hard to believe." Thomas replied coldly.
"Honest! I would never hurt a student! I couldn't have!" Jim exclaimed.
"Calm yourself." Thomas said casually as he stood up and paced over to the window. "Let me try and refresh your memory. We already know most of the details... who: you. What: the attempted murder of Aelita Stones. When: 7:02 A.M. Tuesday morning. Where: the 5th floor landing of the Science building. Only one question is left. If you can recall 5th grade English class, you know the question."
"Uh..."
"Why?" Thomas asked with a bit of annoyance to Jim's ignorance.
"How should I know?!?! I don't remember anything, understand?!?!" Jim cried out in frustration.
"Maybe this will jog your memory. 6:15 P.M. Tuesday, you stood in this office with the boy you set up to take the fall, and he unraveled you're plot, at which point you broke away from the police officer, plowed through that window..." He pointed to the picture window behind the desk, which was covered in cellophane as it had yet to be replaced. "And then dodged police for two days solid." Thomas put his hands in his pockets as he paced back and forth across the room. "And then for you to come wandering back here so casually three days later, claiming to have no memory, I have few options but to have you declared insane unless you drop the charade and tell me what the hell is going on." Thomas suddednly grabbed Jim by the shirt collar and jerked him forward with such force that the chair he was bound to moved. "TALK!" Jim grimaced.
"I'm sorry! I don't know! I don't know anything!!!" Jim exclaimed as Thomas relinquished his grip. Thomas sat down at the chair on the other side of the desk.
"Fine. I believe you." Thomas said quietely. Jim gasped.
"Wh-what?"
"I can see you're not lying. I'm trained in these things." Thomas explained. "But if I'm going to figure out what happened, I need everything you can give me. When does your memory pick back up?"
"Uh... I woke up in a dumpster on the other side of town around noon."
"That explains the smell." Thomas said casually. "What happened then?"
"Well... I... got out of the dumpster and I was cleaning myself off... but I found something in my pocket... I'd get it for you but my hands are tied." Thomas quickly walked back over to Jim and pulled a folded, white slip of paper out of his pocket. "I don't know where it came from or what it means..." Jim explained.
"The Blade Children..." Thomas read aloud from the paper. Outside the window, Ayumu froze.
"The blade children..." He thought. What could it possibly mean? Was there a connection to.. him?
"After that I just walked back through town to here." Jim explained. "And that's everything..." Jim muttered. He knew he had little to no chance of being proven innocent.
"This is a start..." Thomas muttered as he placed the slip in his own pocket. "Unfortunately, until I can find out what this means and find something that proves you innocent, you simply can't go free." Thomas stepped towards the door. "As a matter of protocol, in your current state you are going to be held in a mental hospital until your trial." Thomas reached for the door.
"Wait a second!" Jim exclaimed. "You said your last name was... Belpois?"
"Yes."
"I know your son."
"I'd assume... you are his gym teacher."
"Listen... there's something you should know, and I am perfectly sane in saying this. He's hiding something. I've been trying to find out what for years, but he's just to damn clever. Whatever he's up to, it's either illegal or dangerous. Since you're his father, I thought you just ought to know."
"Thank you for telling me this." Thomas reponded. "You'll have to explain in greater next time we speak. I also have a few questions for you about what you know about Aelita Stones."
"Gladly." Jim answered. "Oh.. and by the way... Aelita Stones is your son's girlfriend." Thomas' mouth was the one that gaped this time. He shook his head to get the look off his face before he opened the door and stepped out, snapping his fingers as two officers stepped into the room and un-cuffed Jim, escorting him out of the building.

Ayumu still lay in the flowerbed beneath the window for nearly an hour after the conversation had ended, his brain in overdrive.
"Blade children... blade children... what are the blade children?" His mind cried out in frustration. It began to drizzle lightly, and Ayumu stood up and walked back towards the dorm. It had been drizzling in much the same way one day many years ago. The day is brother dissapeared. He was the last one to hear from his brother before he dropped off the face of the earth.
"I am going to pursue the mystery... of the blade children. Until I can touch with my own two hands the unseen truth, I will not return. Goodbye, Ayumu." The memory of his brother's last words to him rang in his head. He was beginning to get a headache. His brain alone wasn't enough to put this puzzle together. But he knew one other brain on campus with the capacity to help him. The next day, he would once again be calling upon the assistance of Jeremy Belpois.

02 - endless net... end.

Code SPIRAl 03 - cursed children [Part 1]

The next morning, Jeremy sat at the breakfast table alone. It was Saturday, and he always got up early. He was busy making a card. It was September 1... the birthday of "Aelita stones". Aelita had never remembered when her real birthday was. So, they had simply created the birthday of her persona on September 1st, the anniversary of Jeremy's discovery of the supercomputer. Aelita had grown a habit of sleeping in on Saturday, but he still had a lot to do. First, he had to finish his card. He could have made some sort of impressive gift by using the supercomputer quite easily, or he could have bought something. But he realized a hand-made gift would mean more. He had been working on the gift for some time, a small teddy bear that was currently tucked away in his bookbag. He had to finish the card, pick up a breakfast for her, and deliver all three to her in her room.

"Hey..." Ayumu said as he sat down across the table from him, having walked into the cafeteria and directly to him.
"Hey." Jeremy responded by reflex, but did not bother to look up, as he focused on centering a sunflower onto the clue on the front of the card.
"Listen. I've got a problem. I think you may be able to help me." Ayumu came right out and said it. Jeremy looked up.
"OK, what?" Jeremy asked. He still hadn't forgotten that it was Ayumu who had solved the mystery with Jim.
"I'm not asking for your help for free. I've got some interesting info that you may or may not know in return." Ayumu said coyly. "I kinda eavesdropped yesterday while the police were interogating Jim."
"What?" Jeremy questioned. "why did you do that?"
"I was napping outside the window when it started, I just didn't move, OK? Anyways, did you know your dad is in charge of the investigation?"
"He is?" Jermey asked in surpise.
"Yep. I don't know where he learned his tactics, but it seemed like Jim was going to crack like an egg. But your father thinks he's innocent. But that defies all logic." Ayumu proped his feet up on a nearby chair. "My logic was flawless." Jeremy frowned. Both his father and Ayumu were right. But there was a fundamental problem. Ayumu correctly deduced the methods the possessed Jim had used to attack Aelita, but could not deduce the motive. Some how or another, his father had reached the conclusion that Jim was innocent, which was true. But the only way to prove this theroy was to explain Xana's exsistence to them... which was not an option. "Let's see... what else..." Ayumu thought out loud. "Jim told your father you were "Up to something" and told him that Aelita is your girlfriend." Jeremy tensed. Jim was smart enough to know something was up, but too stupid to figure out what it was. Now that that info had reached his father, who was far more intelligent, he would be actively snooping in his affairs. It seemed his dad was getting too deep... and so was Ayumu. "Now... I am interested in "what you're up to"... but that's not why I'm here. Jim also brought up one more piece of information... not related to the case but of vast importance to me. Unfortunately, I lack the resources to solve this mystery of my own. That's why I'm here."
"And you think I have these resources?"
"I know you do. I don't know where they came from or what they are, and I don't care."
"How do you know?"
"Tuesday, I asked you to analyze those glass shards to find out if they matched her prescription or not." Ayumu grinned. "You'd need lab equipment exceeding a value of $10,000 to make that kind of test. When you excepted the job so instantly, I knew you had resources. People don't just leave stuff like that lying around." Jeremy frowned. Ayumu was catching on way to fast.
"You'd be surpised what you can find lying around..." Jeremy muttered as he put the finishing touches on the card. It was true... he'd found the supercomputer lying dormant in the factory... just lying around.
"Look... I gave you all that information on trust. Now are you going to help me with my problem or not?" Jeremy weighed his options. Ayumu had proved himself helpful, and Jeremy might be able to help him. But if what Ayumu wanted was beyond the scope of what he SHOULD be able to do, and he pulled it off, Ayumu would further inquire into his "resources". But, if he refused Ayumu, Ayumu could spy on him, report him, or worst of all, fill his father in on these deductions. Ayumu had set up the situation like a convulted, fragile game of chess. Jeremy was in check.

"Fine. I'll do it... just not today. I'm a little busy." Jeremy answered as he paced over to the line and got a tray of breakfast for Aelita.
"It's her birthday I'm guessing." Ayumu followed after him. "What'd you get her?"
"A homemade card, breakfast, and I made a teddy-bear with a speaker in it. It plays Eyes Rutherford music... he's one her favorite musicians."
"Oh yeah... that British guy with the long hair..." Ayumu noted.

I wonder if anyone's noticed...

From EPISODE 1
Jim stood, hunched over in a phone booth several miles away in the next town over, having evaded the police with his Xanafied powers. A strong, steady rain had begun. Jim dialed a number, and the phone rang thrice before it was picked up.
"Hello?" A male voice spoke in a slight British accent.
"I am looking for... the blade children." Jim spoke, his voice twisted by possession.
"Are you a hunter?" The voice responded
"No... my name is Xana. I require your... assistance. Your organization specializes in making people... dissapear."

From EPISODE 3

Code SPIRAL 03 - cursed children [Part 2]

"Yeah... a pianist." Jeremy muttered. "How many people do you know who listen to piansts?" Jeremy asked, as he found it a bit strange.
"It's a chick thing. My sister-in-law is crazy for Rutherford too." Ayumu replied as they paced down the hall. "Well... I'll leave you be for now..." Ayumu muttered as he placed his hands in his pockets and headed off for the office. "I'm gonna see if I got any mail." All the mail that students were sent was housed in the office, where they could pick it up. Jeremy blinked. He hadn't checked his own mail in nearly a month. And there was still plenty of time before he needed to go to Aelita's room.
"I'll get my mail too." Jeremy followed after him. "And I'll take Aelita's to her." He added. Of course, Aelita never got any mail, except maybe a letter from Ulrich and the others since they had been transferred out. But it was important to maintain the illusion that she had a real family, so Jeremy would occasionally even forge a letter from her "parents" to mail to her. They stepped into the front of the building, which was deserted. The mailboxes were lined up on the wall like lockers, but only a few had locks. The student mailboxes used the honors system, but students could add their own locks for extra secruity. Ayumu's was locked, and he pulled a key from his jacket pocket, unlocking it with ease, and pulling half a dozen envelopes from it before shutting it. Jeremy opened his and Aelita's mailboxes, finding one letter in each. However, he was quite surprised at finding the one in Aelita's boxes for the aforementioned reasons. There was no return adress, and no mailing adress on either of the evelopes. They didn't have stamps either, which meant they had to have been hand delivered.
"You got one too?" Ayumu asked as he pulled another identical envelope from his own mail. Jeremy nodded, staring at the two in his hand with curiosity. Ayumu opened his with one swift hand motion, drawing out two pieces of paper. The first was some type of ticket... the second was a brief letter.

Consider this a gift... from Kiyotaka. If you want information on where he is... you will attend this concert. I will contact you at 6:00 when you are at your seat.

Ayumu stared at the letter nervously... this was suspicious. Jeremy opened his own when he saw the shock on Ayumu's face. He quickly undid the seal on his own.

I know. Lyoko... the factory... Xana... everything. If you wish to keep it a secret... you and Miss Hopper will both attend this concert. You must be in your seats at 6:00. If you are not there at the designated time... or you attempt to tell anyone about this... Aelita will be eliminated.

Jeremy's face broke out in uncontainable shock too. Someone was blackmailing him... but why? And how did they possibly know? Was this one of Xana's traps? No... it couldn't be. There was no tower, he would have been alerted by now. He nervously tore open Aelita's letter.

I know who you really are. I know about Lyoko... and your father. If you want to know more... and you don't want me to tell anyone else... you will attend this concert. You must be in your seat at 6:00. If you aren't... or you try to tell anyone... Jeremy will be eliminated.

All three letters contained nearly identical tickets. It was an Eyes Rutherford concert... to take place at 7:00 P.M. It was tonight. The three seats were all directly next to eachother. Ayumu read Jeremy's face like a book.
"You being black-mailed too?"
"Ye...yeah..." Jeremy stuttered. "But who could..."
"Do you have any enemies?"
"Well... one... but it's really compicated."
"I don't know what they want with me..." Ayumu muttered. "But why are they trying to lure us into a concert?"
"It's got to be a trap." Jeremy replied.
"No. If someone wanted to trap and harm us... they would set up something less conspicous. Think about it... what can they do to us in a concert hall full of people? Unless their plotting to take everyone else along for the ride. But someone who would set up something this complex wouldn't operate like that. It's not in their psychology." Ayumu reasoned, but Jeremy knew his reasoning was wrong. Xana was perfectly satisfied with taking out a large number of people just to get to him and Aelita... and was perfectly capable of pulling it off. But there was no way to explain this to Ayumu. He was afraid there wasn't anything he could do at this point... but play along.
"I... I have to go." Jeremy nodded to him. "Meet me at my room around 2:00... we'll figure out what to do then." Jeremy stuffed the threatening letters in his pockets and walked towards Aelita's room with the tray.

Jeremy explained everything that had happened to Aelita. She was in just as much shock as Jeremy. Jeremy ran a manual scan while Aelita nervously ate the breakfast he had brought her. No tower. This wasn't Xana's doing.
"What are we going to do Jeremy?" She asked, distressed.
"I'm afraid all we can do for now is play along." Jeremy replied. "If this isn't Xana... we need to find out who these people are and how they know about all of this... and what they want from us. If this isn't Xana... they really could take us out anytime they want and we can't stop them." Jeremy sighed. "I'll... I'll protect you however I can... I'm sorry..."
"Don't apologize." Aelita bowed her head. "This isn't your fault. But what do they want with Ayumu?"
"Well... if this is Xana... he's probably irked at Ayumu for figuring out the plot with Jim. He's so smart... as smart as me... and Xana's probably afraid he'll join up with us and become a thorn in his side. He taking out us and our potential allies." Jeremy frowned. "That still doesn't explain how Ayumu was blackmailed. Did they threaten his own life... or someone elses? Did they get to him with a secret? I'm curious to know." Jeremy began to ponder. He hadn't seen the contents of Ayumu's notice... only Ayumu's reaction. Ayumu hadn't seen his own and Aelita's either.
"Well..." Aelita tried to smile. "At least it's a good location. An Eyes Rutherford concert is way better than some dark alley." She tried to laugh, but it was hard. Jeremy smiled at her false optimism.
"That reminds me... your birthday gift... I made it myself... but now it's so ironic I don't think you'll like it." Jeremy reached into his bag and drew out the teddy bear. It was crudely sewn by hand, with very light tan fur. It had a small speaker on it's stomach, which was masked only by a thin layer of cloth. Jeremy handed it to her as he squeezed it, triggering the music. A pleasent, melodious song began to play... a piano solo by Eyes Rutherford.

The three of them hopped on a commuter train and rode thirty minutes to the nearby city where the concert was being held. Aelita nervously clung to Jeremy's arm, much to his secret enjoyment. Ayumu always stayed a few paces ahead of them. Neither Jeremey or Ayumu knew how the other was being black-mailed, and they agreed to keep it so. It was 5:45 as they made their way to their seats in the hall. It was a large concert hall, usually used for large scale plays and full symphonies... the fact that it was sold out for a solo artist proved just how popular Rutherford was as a musician. They were surprised to find their seats in the front row. Whoever was behind this was loaded.
