I was already thinking what the hell they meant with Lovecraft...
The necronomicon is real, at least, that's what about 4 people I know say after using spells from it.
Personally I've never even seen a copy of it...

i own a copy of the paperback necronomicon and i have yet to search for any other tomes as i have yet tor ead this one

You probably own fakes, the necronomicon wasn't even a spell book as much as it was a story. Though there are a few rituals in the book I believe. Supposedly there may be only a few copies left and noone is owning up to owning it. So if you own a necronomicon, it's probably unrelated except by name, or very loosely related.

I have a good friend that owns a paperback copy of necronomicon. Another one owns this REALLY old copy of it. It has a leather strap around it to hold it closed and its so old it looks like its going to fall apart if you poke it. I want to own a copy of it, I just dont want to get ahold of one of those stupid copies, if you know what i'm talking about.

Ah, Lovecraft, Necronomicon...
I had this discussion before.
I don't doubt whatever spells that happen to be 'real' in the hands of those so willing to do so (i've never read it but...) Even if it is more so just a story, and from what I've read it is fiction, but the will behind it is you. Your magick. You are the key to make magick work. So, whatever it is, its probably you that is reality, not the book itself.

I feel kind of the same way about it. Without the will of the person, there is no magick. The book can just supply ideas and make suggestions. Thats all. A lot of things can do that. xp
