...I don't know why they decided to make their hair pink in the anime, nor do I understand the whole deal with the eyes. In the manga, practically everyone has black eyes...and Lucy's the only one with pink hair. Nana has purple hair, Mariko has blonde hair...and there was even a Diclonius who had brown hair, though her role was tiny and insignifcant to the story. Even the humans had freaky hair--Arakawa had purplish-black hair, and another girl who was important to the manga storyline and whose name absolutely escapes me at the moment (>.<) had green hair.
Maybe they changed the Diclonius's hair colors and eyes for visual effect, to show that the Diclonius truly are different from normal human beings? o.O No one knowssss...but I don't follow that rule. In fact, the role playing character I made for Elfen Lied based role-plays has black hair and green eyes.
I thought about dying my hair after watching the anime...but after reading the manga, I'm glad I never did. Don't get me wrong, I love the anime...but I consider the manga to be more accurate, as that was Lynn's original story and idea. Who would know more about it than the original creator? It's like going up to Brahm Stoker and saying Tim Burton has a better grasp of the character Dracula than he does. -.-" What I really want is some cosplaying horns...now that would be bad arse.
Now, when it comes to the male Diclonius...well, I don't consider the Kakuzawas to be Diclonius. *blink blink*
