PrinceWitch CAPTAIN Plixy[Stix] PrinceWitch CAPTAIN Plixy[Stix] PrinceWitch 2) If I am not a Muslim, then I am something better. No you're not. You're no better than anyone else here. Why do you have an explination for 2, but not 1? What I said for number two isn't even an explanation. What makes you think you're better than anyone else in the first place? When I said that, I meant that my religion is better, at least for me. This is because the thoughts of Allah represented in this thread (definately not all) does not fit a more Univeral idea of Allah that I think is right. It seems many Muslims here think God is some human-like spirit who lives in the sky and sends people to Gehenna when they don't pray in a certain way. This is barely attachable to an all-pervasive, pantheistic Allah that I am used to. BTW, do you have an arguement for the first point? There is no argument for the first point. The only thing I got out of it was that you seemed to say that you don't believe that you can be a homosexual and follow Allah at the same time. If that is true, then that is your prerogative. It's your right. But if that's not it, then clear things up some more?

Says in the Quran it's strictly Haram, so I don't see the argument here.

If being gay were a choice and not a genetic trait, then I could see it being unforgivable.
But the fact is, whether or not people want to believe it, we know as modern intellectuals that being homosexual is not a lifestyle that is choosen. Rather, you are born that way.
If it is absolutely unforgivable sin to be gay, then Allah is not as loving as we were taught.

Mini_fairy_1991 this is not allowed because you can't contract the rule of the universe. exactly, you can't change the Quran just to please yourself. These rules are made for you to obey them. We all do. Even, if it's hard to...you should,at least, try harder to

Christianity doesnt allow it as well but God understands how humans are and would forgive you if you are saved by believeing Jesus is your lord and saviour biggrin
God love his people and no matter what happens specialy when it comes to feelings , gay people at times dont make a choice to love the same sex , it just happens..and love is something we share and cant really control , God would understand that..as long as the person tries to change that but if it doesnt work then there is no power to the human himself to do anything

But it's what the Quran says; us following what it says makes us Muslim. Even IF it's a controversial subject, it's written in the Quran. I'm not saying you're not going to be forgiven. Allah 'is' and will forever be all-merciful.

ReverendSam I will also state that the Qu'ran was written 1500 years ago. It doesn't always have good jurisdiction in these days. That is the most dumbest thing I have ever heard. The reason why Islam has its old ways is to stay away from modern and filthy beliefs. Such as dating. And also since you said such a stupid statement, maybe I should say the Bible is not good today or any other religious book you 'tard.

Honestly, who are we to say that he is not muslim? We have no right to deny him his faith. I've been thought that as long as we believe, we are Muslim, followers of Mohammed s.w.s. Just because because some one is gay, bisexual, or a lesbian does not in anyway not make them a muslim if they continue to believe in the main points of what makes some a muslim, then they are indeed a muslim. Like it was stated earlier, all it takes is an atom of faith.
so, "if you're gay then you're not muslim" IS NOT a valid arguement.
Yes, he is sinning, but I have come to believe that some people can't help but to have a different sexual orientation. I don't know if satan has gotten to me and our modern world and manipulated my mind, but thats is how it is. There are scientific facts to prove it as well.
And even though I'm not in any place to say this...why would Allah make something just to sin it? Yes, Allah has sent things to this world to punish us, but I don't think that Allah would send something and make it just to punish that thing itself.
I don't know...maybe I'm just missing a piece to this logic or something.
But we all know that Allah is all merciful, so we can't really know what's up the sleeve.
...But as to that comment about the Quran being out dated....you just made your self look like an idiot. Thats the beauty of Islam - that we are basing our beliefs off of something that is completey pure , true, and unaltered and that so many people can come together and unite to believe in it. It is the word of Allah after all. It'll never be outdated. It applies to society today, not just way back when.
The Quran does not need to be updated. Or else it wouldn't be called the Quran.
