haha sorry... ok right now I'm kinda mad at Funimation for licensing Love Hina since it's kinda been dubbed already. evil if they recast I'm starting my own personal boycott against it... I know they won't care but I do!!! twisted

I know they won't care but I do!!! twisted If the first dub was any good I would join you. Bandai's love Hina dub is one of the only uncut dubs that I hate with a passion. The only bad thing is once FUNi dubs it I can no longer put Love Hina dub in my list of "Dubs I hate" it was the defualt "none butchered bad dub" Now I will have to find a new one. Sad thing is my second most hated uncut dub really is not that bad. The second on my list is Neon Genesis evangelion.

The second on my list is Neon Genesis evangelion. well i haven't seen the whole Bandai dub of Love Hina and it's not in my nature to hate dubs (oddly enough I dont hate the 4kids One Piece dub... probably since, like Love Hina, I haven't seen it all) I just find it kinda dumb that Funi is now in the re-licensing business (Love Hina, One Piece, and Slayers and I've heard very unconfirmed rumors of redubbing Sailor Moon but the others are confirmed) when I would like to see them acquire more new things that I know fans are dying to see like Ouran [but I guess the bidding game is still going on], D. Gray-Man, and season 2 of Kodocha to name just a few, and I know I'm not the only one who hopes for these.

Well Slayers and Love Hina is useless of course FUNi is really just rereleasing Slayers right? I mean they are already airing it on channels and cartoon blocks they own and it's the old dub.
Sailor moon needs to be redubbed. I have no problem with the voices of Salior Moon but the edits and changes is why it desurves to be redubbed. Same With One Piece.
Besides when an original cast is great Funi will try to get those people to come back. They picked up the original cast for the Third Tenchi Muyo OVA.

So funi might redo Sailor Moon? Maybe that means we just might someday get that last season...I"ve always wanted to see that. It's probably a long shot though. I am still gleeful about One Piece, I can't wait for the new episodes to start. And I'm curious about Slayers. I saw the second series Slayers Next a long time ago when the international channel aired a sub of the show and one of the OVA dubbed. It seemed like a interesting show. As CN airs a lot of FUNI shows, I wonder if they will air either SM or Slayers?

You might want to add the dub for Candidate for Goddess (Pilot Candidate). Although I did like the show in general, I remember thinking when it aired on CN that it really was dubbed very poorly. I hated to admit it, but it was the truth.

But also Air TV was a very expensive anime as well to license so they do have money for new things. but hopefully it is just to build up revenue. blaugh

Yeah, but if one series is really expensive, then it's probably harder to pick up other expensive series.
And on Kodocha, they haven't picked up season 2 because season 1 hasn't been making them a lot of money. As of right now, picking up more of a series that isn't really making money back just isn't a good business decision.

As of right now, picking up more of a series that isn't really making money back just isn't a good business decision. ya I read that earlier today and that bites since almost everyone I talk to LOVES Kodocha and has bought or knows at least one person (other than me) who bought the dub, even if they just wanted the sub. *sigh* o well the loss of a perfectly good dub. emo

New FUNi once Piece update. The dub cast is approved by Oda himself. The original creator has accepted the new voice actors of One Piece as not sucking. The cast is Oda approvedNow this is something I'm going to keep for when the FUNi dub is bashed. The original creator likes the dub voices.
