Zack followed Bran's gaze, eyes widening a little as he saw their next challenge. Holy...holy...holy s**t. They were going to lift that up the stairs? Five flights of stairs? He was going to die! Hadn't Bran realized he was only a-
...did Bran just offer to cook for him?
The magic words said, the man whipped in Bran's direction? "Food? Really?" Oh no. He already knew the weakness. Zackary would do anything for a free meal. Anything. "Well! Let's get your desk upstairs then!" he chirpped happily, all sense of dread gone. A real meal!

With a small relieved sigh he nodded and headed over to one end of the desk, grasping the edges. He gave a small, quick outward breath and hefted his side of the desk, beginning the arduous task of lugging the heavy piece of furniture up the flight of stairs.
Around the third flight he nearly dropped his end, catching it and apologizing in a strained voice to Zack.
At the fifth floor he barely made it through his own door, managing to carry it a few paces further into the apartment before giving a strained sound. "I... rnf.. I'm putting it down." And with a final grunt he set the heavy wooden piece down. He stood, leaning against the desk and wiped his forehead with the back of his hand, long strands of hair sticking to his forehead.
"Thank you. Just.. a moment and I'll.. get the snacks. We can carry some chairs down and eat at the table out there."

Zack decided if he ever needed to move anything...ever, he wasn't going to ask Bran for help. Lovely fellow, but he was two for two with trying to kill Zack via impossibly heavy furniture. He nearly died again half-way up, only barely catching himself before tumbling down the steps when Bran dropped the stupid desk. What does one man need with such a large desk, anyways?
...putting it down? Here? He didn't have time to open his mouth and ask; he dropped the desk as soon as Bran put his end down. Zack groaned softly, leaning against the demonic piece of furniture to catch his breath. He huffed, giving Bran a look as he pushed black bangs out of his eyes.
"Yeah, sure thing. Just...let me...stay here...for a second," he added, panting.

Staying for snacks would have been nice, and as Evie had previously said, would have been lovely. Unfortunately for her, she had prior engagements. Sure, she went out of her way to say hello to the new guardians on the compound, but she couldn’t actually stay long. Blame it on class.
"I, unfortunately, can't stay. I have classes, and Elisa is going over to my mum's hotel room since Ivan is out and about somewhere." It really would have been nice to stay and chat. Perhaps, she could stop by again later. Since the time being was a tad inconvenient.
Elisa was too preoccupied with Osha to really pay attention. The small girl was about to go play with his treasure box when she heard the word "mum" come out of Evie's mouth. No. Grand Mama. She was going to have to stay with Grand Mama.
...The horror. Plus, no presents to be expected.
Reluctantly, Elisa gave a slight nod of her head. "We play soon, Osha."
"It was nice meeting you, Bran, and it was nice to see you again, Zack. I hope to see you two later."

((Sorry to see you go, Seeing.))
Bran gave a small wave out the window to Elisa and her little girl. He wasn't sure if they could see him as they walked away but he hoped perhaps they'd looked back and caught his farewell. With a small sigh he turned around. Right... even if he was only making snacks for Zack, Osha, and himself he still wanted to make it something nice.
He walked past Zack and into the kitchen. Unlike the other rooms, which showed heavy signs of moving in, the kitchen had been carefully tended to immediatly upon arrival. Everything was hung up and put in place, as though he'd been living in the kitchen alone for a week's time before the other things had arrived.
"Do you like chips and dip?" He called over his shoulder. He sure hoped so... he had just the thing in mind. He reached into the cupboard and found a rather large ziplock baggie full of chips - homemade ones, at that. Quickly he unzipped it and poured them into a bowl, going to the fridge and pulled out another container, this time a plastic bowl. He popped it in the microwave and set the timer so it could warm up.
While that was heating he delved into the fridge once more, this time pulling out fresh strawberries, which he washed under the faucet, cut the tops off of, and placed in a bowl. One last covered container from the fridge, this time heavy cream whipped to fluffy perfection (which he spooned generously onto the berries).
"There... I think that should be good enough." Bran turned to look nervously to Zack. "Anything you'd like to drink particularily? I've got lemonade, iced tea, and water."

Evie and Elisa couldn't stay? What a shame. Zack nodded. He understood...well, not the classes part. But it must be like working. You have to go, and they don't care if you have a personal life or not. "See you later, Evie!" he shouted, being a good distance away and all. He waved the woman and her daughter off before glancing at Osha. No more playmate. Poor guy.
He turned, watching Bran move around his appartment. Even cluttered with moving mess, it was still cleaner than his own living quarters. Damn. He perked back up with the food off. "Sure," he said with a shrug. What didn't he like? Especially when it was free. He watched his new buddy prepare the snack and couldn't help but wonder why he had so much talent in the kitchen. Was he the only inept one in the world?
"Uhh..." he started, startled by the question. "Lemonade would be nice, thanks."
Elisa was leaving? Oh no! Osha sighed and nodded, giving Elisa a little wave. "Bye bye!"

Sunlight was not something Patricia was used to. So when Gavin wanted to go outside, it took nothing short of a temper tantrum from the little hawk child to persuade her--if only to soothe her growing headache.
Gavin bounded down the sidewalk, glad to be free from the confines of his room for the first time in forever. Staring at the same four walls all day was way too boring, even for him. Not to mention lonely. A sparse trail of feathers followed behind him. They seemed to be falling out a lot recently. Picia said something about "molting," but that just went in one ear and out the other. Maybe he was losing all his feathers and they'd never come back. Then what would he give Haki for presents?
He paused when he heard voices from afar. Bending backwards to look toward the top floor of the building nearest to them, he watched as yet another U.F.A (Un-Identified Adult) exited one of the rooms with a little girl he'd never seen before, and disappeared in the stairwell. His curiosity once again got the better of him. He'd noticed there seemed to be a lot of new faces around. They had to be coming from somewhere. Maybe they made all the new kids up there. Mad-scientist in the attic, or something to that affect.
"Picia! Over here!" he waved toward his reluctant guardian, running off toward the building without waiting for permission.
Patricia sighed, almost growling. "I swear, that child."
She sped up her gait, but did not try to run after him. If he fell, the injury would stop him long enough to let her catch up to him.
Without looking back, he ran up the stairs. By the time he made it to the top floor, he was completely out of breath. While he didn't see anything that resembled a giant machine that spat out little kids, he did see a lot of furniture. There were people inside too. Another U.F.A. and Osha's new daddy. However, he was too out of breath to call out.
Instead, he stood there in the doorway, breathing hard and occasionally dripping feathers. Maybe someone would notice him before Picia came and dragged him back downstairs.

"Lemonade it is." Bran nodded confirmation as he went to the fridge once more and pulled out a pitcher of lemonade and a few plastic cups. A few plastic forks and spoons and it's be the perfect outside snack!
"Alright, are you ready to go back down, Zack?" Bran looked over to the other man. In doing so he noticed a small figure standing in his doorway - a boy. There were bright, warm colours but it definatly wasn't Osha. He blinked, giving a small quirk of his eyebrow on his otherwise expresionless face. "Hello, who're you? One of the movers, I hope." He managed to give a small quirk of his lips.

Zack nodded again, a lack of something better to do. He just watched Bran move around the kitchen in silence, looking down at his short nails as he waited. He blinked, looking up as Bran spoke. "Yeah." He could probably manage to get back down the stairs without falling over. Gods, his legs were trembling a little from all that heavy lifting. How bad was that?
He turned to the door, stopping when he realized there was a small boy in the doorway. "Gavin?" What was Gavin doing here? "Where's Osha?" A better question: why wasn't Osha all over his friend?
Osha had returned to his treasure box and was rummaging through again when he thought he heard familiar voices. Was that...Gavin! He squealed in delight, wheeling around to find his friend.
Hey! Where was he going? Not about to be left behind again, Osha abandoned this knick-knacks to follow Gavin up the five flights of stairs. Understably, he was a bit slower. When he finally reached the top, he found the boy in a doorwar. He leaped forward, hugging his friend from behind. "Gavin!"

Gavin was about to answer the strange man--what was a 'mover' anyway?--except that a force knocked into him from behind. Due to his legs already being weak from the run up five flights of stairs, the flying leap was too much for him to take. Knees buckled, and Gavin flew forward, somersaulting across the carpet, taking his assailant along with him. One of the many boxes in the apartment was kind enough to stop him, even if a bit harshly.
"Oof!" he grunted as they finally came to a stop, sitting up to stretch out his wings. Turning around he finally recognized the bundle of red hair that had jumped onto him.
"Osha!" he exclaimed, forgetting the rest of the world around him--along with the fact that both adults had asked him questions. "What's Osha doin here?"

Bran blinked, the only evidence that he was surprised, as Osha suddenly ran up and tackled the little boy that Zack had called Gavin. They apparently knew each other, and were happy to see each other.
"Well Zack is assisting me in moving my things. We decided it'd be a nice time for a little snack break. You are more than welcome to join us if you'd like." He smiled and shifted the items in his arms only a little uncomfortably. He'd been holding them for a while now. "Shall we head out?"

"Yeah, why don't you join us, Gavin? Your mom can join too...if she wants." Zack had to keep himself from making a face. The last time he met Patricia, she'd been...less than friendly, to put it nicely. It wasn't his fault he was new a parenting! (Honestly, he might even be catergorized as that type of person who should never be a parent, but he didn't really like thinking about that.)
He shrugged and stepped around the children. "C'mon, Osha. Let's go downstairs.
Osha snuggled Gavin happily before letting his friends go, checking his wings to make sure they weren't too ruffled. He shrugged. "Zack came to help him." He pointed to Bran. "He's nice. Treasure box," Osha said, nodding. He'd show Gavin the treasure box when they went back downstairs.
He blinked, looking up as Zack started to leave. Standing, he offered a hand to Gavin. "Want snack time?"

"Picia?" Gavin asked in reply. As if almost by reflex he answered, "Picia dun like friends very much."
What? It was a true statement!
"I don't like what now?" Patricia strolled up to the door's threshold, not bothering to step beyond and enter the apartment. In fact, she was mostly blocking the door. Not that she cared, of course.
Gavin was about to say hello to his surrogate mother, but instead was distracted by talk of snack time.
"Snacks!" he threw up his hands in the air emphatically before taking Osha's hand. He looked back toward Zack and then the new awesome looking guy. "Snacks?"
If those two said yes, then Picia wouldn't have a chance at saying no. Gotta get the odds in his favor.

Bran chuckled and smiled, looking up as yet another person came to stand in his doorway. He gave a polite half bow in her direction, inclining his head in greeting. "Hello to you, madam."
When Gavin thrust his arms into the air and joyfully proclaimed 'Snacks!' he couldn't help but crack a smile and nod, half lifting the food items in his arms. "Yes, snacks. Shall we get outside before I drop everything? Would you like to help me carry something?" He turned his head to look at Patricia even as he lowered two bowels to the level of the boys so they could carry them if they wanted. "You are more than welcome to join, in fact, I would like it very much if you joined us. My name is Bran Lio`koli, I've just moved in here."

"Don't I know it, little man," Zack replied to Gavin, not really thinking about what he was saying. And suddenly, there was Patricia! Speak of the devil. Zack was barely able to contain a sneer. "I don't know," he shrugged. "People. Outside. Light. Life," he suggested, tossing his head a little. This woman just rubbed Zack the wrong way. He looked back at Gavin and nodded. "Yeah, snacks. You an' Osha can have 'em, yeah?" For all that he didn't like Patricia, he found Gavin to be a very agreeable young man.
Osha giggled as Gavin cheered. He was so silly sometimes. He watched his daddy and Bran. Snack time was there idea. And suddenly, his daddy was making faces and using an angry voice with Gavin's mommy. Osha blinked and stared. Whoa. He'd never seen Zack like this before! The redhead swallowed nervously, tugging a little on Gavin's hand. "Le's goooo," he suggested quietly, keeping a wary eye on the grown-ups.
