Yeah they do. I find it funny that Subbies believe that bashing a clip for a dub that won't be out for a while (Death note) is more important then praising the fact that Viz is currently allowing them to legaly download the Subtitled version for next to nothing.
I don't know I would think a Legal download of a sub would be a higher priority then bashing a dub clip. But it's not.

Hikarulol OMG you must read this. Hikarulol Gurenn Heylisten Gurenn Most dubs just plain suck. They are censored or americanized. When they aren't, they just don't have the same voices anymore. Translations aren't completely right either. They have to be altered so they are in sync with the moving mouths. And every Japanese suffix is removed no matter what. This completely destroys the grade of respect characters have towards each other. And fansubs are usually better translated than the professional ones. Not because the fansubbers have more knowledge than the professional subbers, but just because even the subs have some censorship in them. Ok let me fix everything wrong with this post. 1) 4kids is the only dubbing company that Americanized anime 2) When things get censored, it's the FCC not the dub. 3)No s**t Sherlock. A course they will not have the same voices. America and Japan is two different countries. 4) Translations are not completely correct with the manga. Do you know that Japanese have one word that means a whole sentence. How the hell are they going to shove a sentence in some characters mouth lips. 5) Duh the Japanese suffix must be removed. Otherwise the characters be speaking Japanlish just like many people saying baka in their speach. If the did kept the suffix, it will be desrespect to the Japanese. 6)Last thing n00b. The Japanese language do not have real curse words in it! You just repeated everything I said. Because all the Japanese stuff is removed, the dub sucks. Anime isn't American, so it should be kept Japanese. And I don't care about the FCC. It may not be the fault of the dubbers, but it doesn't take away the fact that dubs suck. And I wasn't talking about cursing in subs. Just for an example: In La Blue Girl Miko says she's 16 years old. The official subs say she's 18 because the subbers thought 16 was too young. And don't you dare call me n00b again. I'd like to start a discussion without people scolding at eachother. Wow you can't understand anything can you? 4kids is the only dubbing company that Americanized their anime! No other company in the US do those kind of things anymore. You should know the FCC is the problem of why we have things edited for the TV viewers, not the dub. So it doesn't take away the fact that dubs do not suck! Little n00bs need to see blood and guts for thier entertainment. Judging by your logic that anime should be kept Japanese, then it shouldn't be sub in English and ported to the US. It should be kept in Japan for only the Japanese to see. And if a certain age difference is change because of America FCC, then go out and buy the ******** DVDs. That way the age, cuss words, and blood is still kept in all it's glory. Fan subbers often time add cuss words to spice it up a bit. So don't think that some highschooler who translates an anime, is completely correct you n00b. So all those little things you complain about is not the reason why all dubs sucks, because they don't numbnut. It's impossible for every last dub out there too suck. Well Gurenn at least redeamed or tried to redeam himself later in that very topic. I take thats from your "Give dubs a chance" topic.

It reminds me of the 30 seconds promo of Bleach and every freaking weeaboo bash it to the ground. Now they find out that Bleach is a pretty damn good dub.

Creativerealms xGin nothing is worse than naruto dubs, enough said. God Naruto does not have a great dub but come on to say it's the worst? You have to be high. There is no way in all seven gates of hell that Naruto's dub is worse then any 4kids dub or Dragin Ball Z or Salor Moon, or Card Captor, or Knights of the Zodiac, or Love Hana or Neon Genisis evengalian. I mean for real sometimes I think the only reason people hate Naruto's dub so much is because the show is popular in America and nothing else. I mean it's ether that or they are high oin something. Love Hina and NGE are two uncut dubs that I really do not like. That is why I generally place them with edited dubs. So they can't make it seem like I'm only bringing up butchered dubs.

Favorite moment of the panel Crispin Freeman held is when he was talking about Yoko Kanno's (may she live forever) reaction on the dubbing of Spike for Bebop.
"Our Spike? Gooood. Your Spike?" *shakes head slowly, awkward pause.*
"SEXY. :3"

They go on about how they are the "true fans" of anime with no understanding of what anime truly is or what its orgins are...how annoying. By the way reading these comments is just too funny! rofl

It's just sad, because I've seen dubs that are on equal par to both of those dubs, but they get no love. ):
It's like, if the elitists admit that those dubs are good, shouldn't they give other shows dubbed by the same company a chance? I mean, same people, usually the same actors....hellooo? xD;

Akatsuki_ninjazombie Roboticus Ninjus In these dark times where Death Note will be dubbed, I really think the original voice actors should get off their lazy asses, learn English, and dub it themselves, if they dub it at all. my brother thinks dubbed is better tho and I tell him that it ruins the whole anime. I could not respond to this. I mean how do you response to this type of well ignorance?

So, I said this in Calica's thread about the Japanese asking America to help stop illegal fansubbing:
"It doesn't matter HOW you're watching it online, whether you download or not. The fact of the matter is you're watching it online, and NOT buying it. Thus, you're not supporting the creators or the companies, which puts them in financial stress, and can eventually lead to the end of anime production."

I will never fully understand sub fans... I kept thinking that downloading in America couldnt do any good for anime in Japan, but I didnt want to say anything without solid proof and get bashed to death...
But still, if Japanese superiority is their reason for downloading, why don't they care when the very people they admire ask them to stop "stealing" from them... bleh
