ROTJ rocks my socks! I think it is the best of the three because we finally see almost all of Luke's potential. As well it clarifies how Vader is Luke's father and the whole familial struggle.
It is epic!

They all have their merits.
RotJ had the whole epic struggle that lasted for a good portion of the movie, with the 3-way battle in space, land and between Luke and the Darths.
And, ESB was a great contrast to ANH, with ANH's conclusion showing all right with everything with the Death Star gone. And then, the end of ESB leaving you saying "Wow, the s**t really hit the fan, huh?"

i love The Empire Strikes Back! it's also my mom's favorite! i love the Empire, and i wish i knew what the heck happened to General Veers! stressed hehe, when i owned Star Wars Battlefront 2, and i did the Hoth lvl, i would always be empire and the first thing i would do was get into an Imperial walker, and then pretend i was Veers, shooting down ALL puny Rebel resistance! MWAHAHAHA!!!! *ahem* yes, i did have fun with that..... sweatdrop right now, i have checked out the ESB manga from the library. it is so funny! i only checked out 2 of the 4 or 5 volumes that make up the ESB, but it is great! its actually the 2nd time i've checked them out! hehe....han's expressions are soooo funny.....if u want to check them out, go to your library and type in Toshiki Kudo as the author, i guess. or just "star wars comics" for an early birthday present, my mom got the dvds of the original trilogy that come with the original theatrical versions. on the first day, we watched A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back. my brother (who's one year younger than me) called us nerds and dorks, but we just said we didn't care. whee i love the fact that me and my mom share that interest.

I share a similar bond with Star Wars with my father and my brother. My dad got me into SW at the ripe old age of 3 when I saw it for the first time on a betamax videotape. From then on, we had a bond with Star Wars ... I remember waking up before Christmas when I was about 7 and he was playing with my SW toys that I was getting the next morning.
From there when the prequels came out, SW was something that helped my brother and I bond over especially since he's 17 years younger than me! But it's still cool that I'm the bad influence for him ... because I was much more into SW at that point than my Dad was. And I passed it on to him! It's pretty cool that he and I have so many things in common ... he's the reason I'm on here!

When I was a kid, me and my friends would go to these two trees that stood right next to eachother. They both had a little basin about ten feet up, a natural platform to build a treehouse in. We never did, but we'd get up there, and pretend that one tree was Gold Flight, and the other tree Red Flight, and we'd take turns throwing acorn 'bombs' at a target on the floor, pretending we were blowing up the Death Star. And we'd have so much fun, saying all the quotes we remembered as if it was really us, even re-enacting some of the brief space fights and explosions between tosses. I remember that we used to fight over who'd be Gold Flight, because Gold was superior to Red. Then we realized that Luke Skywalker was in Red Flight, and so we'd fight over that instead. xD
When I first got Battlefront II, the same group came over to check it out. I remember playing one of the Space Battles, and getting in a Y-Wing. Flew onto my side and along the side of the Imperial Star Destroyer, since it's the closest thing to a trench in the game, while saying "Stay on target...Stay on target..." out loud. We burst out with laughter and started to play the same old game on Battlefront II. Only, we were in actual Y-Wings and X-Wings (depending if we were Gold Flight or Red Flight) and our target was the single autoturret that's right next to the hangar bay on Imperial Star Destroyers. 'twas a lot of fun. Life's been busy, so that's a fond memory.

My brother and I started playing the SW card game soon after it came out. It was fun for awhile, then I had to go back to my true cardboard crack - Magic! And I took him with! MUHAHAHAHA! twisted

Jamie Kirkpatrick I've always wanted to play the Star Wars card game, meself. 3nodding It was very interesting, because it was all about combat. There were three battle zones: Air, ground and special character. If you got your opponent down to units in only one of the zones, you won!
One of my favorite parts about the game was playing the special character units such as Yoda, Luke, Vader, etc. It was interesting but when I moved away from where my folks and my lil bro lived about five years ago, there was no point in me taking the cards with me. Unfortunately, I gave them to my bro and then he proceeded to lose all of the cards, mine and his! evil
Ah well, such is life! mrgreen
