Hey guys, found an ultra sad Franz/Albert AMV....clicky clicky. Made me cry. crying I mean, I love Count/Albert, but....oh man, Franz really loved Albert and it just tears me to pieces. Massive spoilers, careful.

I like watched all the Japanese episodes on Youtube after I bought the shirt from Hot Topic. xD

Lol, I have to say it was one of my favorite animes of all time. Except for that glimmering stuff they used for the like outfits and hair that would moved around. Irriated me to no ends.

I thought I was the only one who noticed Franz's gayferness.

But in the book he's really not that gay. xD

No, not much gayness in the book...though Albert is still dumb and naive. <3 I love the kid, but really...it's a wonder he managed to stay innocent as long as he did.

And how could anyone miss the anime gay? Onesided Franz/Albert is basically canon in the anime. heart

Nope, but Eugenie is a lesbian and Valentine ends up with Maximilien, so Albert and Franz are fiancée-less by the end. I like to think that they at least experimented together a little bit....hee hee. whee

I found some pics from the 2002 movie version of The Count of Monte Cristo....good stuff. Jesus Jim Caviezel is a good Edmond. heart It's worth seeing at least once.
Somehow I don't remember this looking so gay in the movie...<3333
I do love that Albert totally doesn't notice his new BFF hitting on his mom. He's just like 'Wow, the count is such a friendly guy! ' xd I couldn't find any pictures of him getting tied up during the Mardi Gras fiasco, unfortunately...

This anime has one of the strangest animation styles I've ever seen and I firmly believe there should be a disclaimer at the beginning "Do not Drop Acid before Watching!" This will seriously send you into a massive trip. lol

But I've been a fan of the book for years (shocked my mom when she caught me reading and I told her I was curious and it was a great book) so of course I had to check out the anime. Albert and the Count are really hot! Thanks for sharing these pictures! *hides nosebleed*

I watched a few of the episodes, but I didn't want to watch the whole thing as I've told myself I would read the book one of these days.

But it's just so long! gonk Alexandre Dumas writes the biggest damn novels! Has anyone seen the length of his Musketeer story? eek

Try watching the movie then. It covered most of the main plot points (except Haydee is kind of....not there. Neither is Maximilien and Valentine or Eugenie or Franz....then again Franz may have been in the group of boys that went with Albert to Rome and was just never named)....BUT. It's still a good way to get the gist of the plot in a couple of hours and the scenery is beautiful and Mercedes is hot, which is why Edmond is more interested in her than Albert or underage former slave girls. 3nodding
