Swooning over the softness of the squirrel's beautiful tail, Beauregard only had moments to snap himself back to reality before he had to think, and think quick. She was making her decision and this would be the last song to sing, the last song he cound make to win her heart! When in doubt, it was always a wise choice to turn to the man of love songs himself: PHIL COLLINS.
And don't let him steal your heart away Please, don't let him steal your heart away
And don't pack my suitcase, I'll be back And don't take my pictures off a' your wall Oh, did you hear me? Don't let him change a thing 'cos I'll be back Jus tell him to pack his things and get out of your life And just give me one more chance I'll show you I'm right You know I'm right
You were lonely and you needed a friend And he was there at the right time with the right smile Just a shoulder to lean on Someone to say don't you worry it'll all be alright But he's no good for you He'll make you think your whole life's been leading to this And whatever you do Think about me, oh, and don't be fooled by his kiss

Ohhh, they both made her heart thump-a-thump so crazily in her chest... To be the object of such a pitched battle of song! She never would have thought... But she couldn't live torn between the two, only to hear their voices. She would pick one, and hear HIS voice from now on.
Taking a deep breath, smiling as the last few notes of each song passed again through her mind, Squirrel made her decision, finally.
Opening her eyes, she looked to one, then to the other. With a graceful swirl, her tail flicking daintily behind her, she hopped from one delicate branch to another, lovely dancing leaps, throwing herself into the air, and into the arms of...
Robin!
She chrrred at Robin lovingly, before giving Beauregard a sorrowful look. If only she could have had both! But Robin's bold songs had captured her heart, more than she could bear to part with. Oh, Robin!

Defeated, unwanted, and rejected, Beauregard's blue tie drooped and he turned away from the happy couple. He muttered a few phrases of songs that no longer seemed to make melody and slunk through the air like a lost balloon. How embarrassing...He lost a singing battle AND a girl to a Robin! Sighing, the now-depressed whale meandered back into the home and settled down like a deflated tire on the carpet in the middle of the living room. A ghost wandered by, walking with soft feet on the wood of the hallway nearby and Fletcher came to give a brief glance to Beauregard before he wandered off. Beauregard didn't pay attention to any of them. He just laid there...pondering the meaning of music and degrading himself for his bright red color.
He had more red than that robin...he though sadly.
Hours later, when the rest of the family had arrived, Isi gave a glance to the deflated red balloon on the floor and piped, "Hey BeauBeau! This is Eirdirsceol! Say hello!"
Beauregard didn't move, he just stared at the wall with a big frown on his big whale mouth and thought, great...
