[The Basics]Name: Lorenzo De Masearro Nickname: Lore, or 'Right-hand man' by most he's worked with. Age: 33 years Birthday: May 12th, 1975 Gender: Male Ethnic Background:3rd generation Amercian citizen, Italian decent. Sexuality:He says he's straight, but who really knows nowadays? Eye Color:Sea green, often refered too as turquise or some other such mixtures of blue and green. His eyes can often be refered too as troubled or even morbid, as if carrying some sort of dark intention behind them. Hair color/styleMidnight (raven) black, long and straight. Usually reaching about five inches below the shoulder line, either tied back (loosely) at the base of the neck, or simply kept down. Skin TonePale. Almost unnaturally white pale, this is due to having very little time spent outside, and his natural likeness to darker places, as he finds its often quieter. Height:6ft 7in Weight:(^^; I'll look into this a bit more.) Body Type:Lorenzo is a tall, lanky man, with fairly broad shoulders and a good build. However the only thing keeping him in shape and fit is the moving around from place to place and the constant need to study his lines. Often times he forgets to eat, not because he doesn't want to, simply due to not having the time or focus to remember. He has a firm look to him, however he's not necissarily muscular or strong, just well defined. Neither pretty nor brutish, he could be explained as simply rugged and shady looking. Distinguishable Characteristics:A five o-clock shadow along his jaw line is just about all the hair you'll ever see on his face unless he needs to grow a short (barely anything) beard or perhaps a gotee for a role. His face is never cleanly cut, as he prefers to give 'character' to any character he happens to be playing. On another note, he has a single tattoo on his left forearm that stretches from his wrist to his elbow and wraps around the width of his forearm fairly well. However, I'll leave the design up to the artist, as long as a few guidelines are met. One, the tattoo needs to have barbed wire that guides the eye through out the length of the piece. And two, the central subject should have something to do with mobsters, keep in mind that is a big part of Lorenzo's life and inspiration to become an actor. [~Lorenzo Reference~] Minus the hair style and eye color, this is pretty much what I'm going for. Residence:Brooklyn, New York Occupation:Film/Theater actor. Lorenzo has never played a lead role, and thusly is hardly recognised for his parts. However, he has frequent work and decent parts for the whole of it, as his looks often portray him as one of the 'bad guys' or 'villians' in films and plays. Most directors see him as a good supporting role for the leads, depending on who you ask of course, though he does happen to have a soft spot for old-timely early american movies. One of his favorite roles to play, would be that of a mobster. Cliche yes, but he finds the work to be interesting and not too much of a challenge considering his demeanor and personality. Living conditions:Despite the constant acting jobs, and never having a problem with unemployment (considering there's always an endless need for background characters to be filled) Lorenzo lives in a small apartment (Livingroom, bedroom/bathroom, and small kitchen) with little to no decoration or adornments. Spending most of his time on set, he'll usually only be home early in the mornings and late at night. Least to say, it is hardly a place to take a girlfriend, if he ever has one at all. Past-times:When he has time to himself, he can often be spotted at one of the many clubs or bars in town. Though Lorenzo isn't a heavy drinker, he finds it a nice scenerio to practice some of the skills he's picked up while acting. Playing different roles for each bar, he makes a name for himself as a regular and continues with that role throughout every visit. Often times he'll visit about 3 bars/clubs a night, in which he'll need to quick change gears and put on another, totally different charade. He likes to think he's gotten it down, but there had been several times where his character has slipped into the persona of another, and caused great confusion to those he hangs with at that particular scenario. On other nights and days off, he will sit home and watch old movies in his apartment. There is a small ring of actors he likes to call his friends that come over as often as possible, small time like himself, and in some of the same pieces he has been in. Together they have earned the title of 'the Theater mob' on set as all seem to be cast as supporting roles or 'bad guys'. Past Roles - "Films":Ricky Contaro - "Big Time" Mobster 3 - "Prohibition" Luigi's son - "Cheesy-pizza" (Theater/Play) Gadric Stoneblade - "Time-Raiders Return" Henchman 1 - "Boss" (Theater/Play) Alphonso Herato - "Baby Back" Reading or Writing? Writing. He gets enough reading from learning his lines and wishes to some day write his own play for others to act out. Upbringing:Lorenzo grew up never knowing his real father, and though that thought was disheartening, he was often times too distracted to think about it. He was raised by his mother and his step-father, both of which he had a fairly decent relationship with. His mother was encouraging, however the enforcer of the house. Both Lore and his step-father were kept in line by her continued firm grip on lawabiding and rule enforcing within the household. Though he and his step-father had quite the opposite relationship, whereas he respected his mother, he whole-heartedly enjoyed the company of his step-father. He was fun, talked and told of many stories of his childhood (made up Lorenzo suspects) and of the mobsters he says he grew up with. Which started the young boy's obsession with the time period. He and his step-father would sit watching The Godfather and Scarface at least once a week, and could easily recite lines back to each other which quickly turned into a game of improve acting. Despite his games with his step-father, Lorenzo was a quiet boy who hardly said anything unless it was meaningful in one way or another, patient with his schooling, however he did move out of his parent's house after tension between him and his mother grew to be unbearable. Schooling:4-year college degree, 3-years of professional drama classes Basic Attire:When he's out on the town, Lorenzo will usually wear black jeans, a dark colored t-shirt (grey, brown, black, ect.), and a tanned leather vest that's usually quite abundent in designs within the leather. His shoes can range from heavy-duty work boots to dark colored tennis shoes, and he normally wears a belt with silver buckles. Perhaps a bit cliche on his part due to his profession, he also carries with him a pair thin sunglasses, which allow the tops of his eyes and pupil to peak out over the rims if he tilts his chin down at a small angle. His transporation consists of a street bike (cheap harley) so its not uncommon to see him with a helmet tucked under his arm and black fingerless gloves over his hands. Idol:Al Pacino. Lorenzo grew up watching Scarface quite frequently, as his step father had a particular taste for such movies as that and The Godfather. Lorenzo's inspiration to aspire to acting later on in life. Personality:Since he was a young boy, Lorenzo had a problem telling people how he actually felt about something. From an early age he was caught up in lying, according to his mother, but he just didn't see the point in opening up and allowing someone to know what he liked and didn't liked. If he said he liked it, odds were he didn't and was just trying to save someone the broken feelings from hearing the truth. This behavior continued until he grew into a less energetic nature, quiet and docile despite his own opinions that likely wouldn't be shared. Despite this change in demeanor, and a cease on most outward aggression, he was prone to a swift, dry humor that often got him into trouble. Later in his life, as he grew into who he is now, he remains the quiet individual with little to say, but alot on his mind. Catch him outside on a night on the town, and you'll be lucky to receive a quick smile or small nod of the head in acknowledgement. Least to say, this behavior hasn't exactly done wonders on his girlfriends, as it seems all of his relationships come to a close after only a short amount of time, the longest girl lasting about 2 months back in highschool. Beyond his outward behavior, Lorenzo is a complex individual with many opinions and ideas in his head. He aspires to his own personal needs, traveling in the pace he sets and no other. Inwardly he'll take the measures he needs to control a situation for his benefit if the situation permits, which often requires the skills he's aquired working in the acting business. Perhaps one of his greatest flaws, he'll have loyalty to almost anyone he sees fit to have it, no matter the morals or beliefs involved. Yet, he keeps that to himself, very rarely showing such loyalty unless its called for. In that sense, he sees himself mostly as a neutral individual, unbound by the simplicity of 'good' and 'bad'. If it benefits him, most likely he'll do it. Again, this is the side of Lorenzo, his true side, that he hides away from plain sight with the simple masks of 'acting a part.' He may seem docile, and there seems to be no end to the patience he exhibits in most situations, but cross this man and he'll gladly do some damage without so much as a care to who or what gets in the way. Strengths:Patient and able to keep his cool. Able to plan out scenearios and responses. Switching quickly and evenly from persona to persona when situation calls for it. Won't step on the toes of a decided leader. Endurance both mentally and, depending, physically. Weaknesses:Not terribly strong, but average. Not very fast. Difficulty showing his true colors to anyone. Use to the living style of the modern age and technology. When angered, allows it to get the best of him and is uncarring of the result. FavoritesArea of study:Drama and english. Drama for the obvious, he liked to act and pretend to be something he wasn't. And english because he liked to think over the double meanings of lines and how they might be said if they were ever in a movie. Color:Grey. Its neutral, as he likes to think himself to be. Foods:Take-out, anything and everything. An actor's best friend. Book:The Great Gatsby - ???/The Dark Elf Trilogy - R.A. Salvatore Genre:Fantasy- he's intranced by the medieval way of life, and figures it would be one of the funnest roles to partake in. Animal:None. They're loud, and he doesn't like loud noises as it distracts him from his studying. Sport:Basketball. He's not particularly good at it, but he figures he has the height to at least be semi-good at it. Movie:Scarface. He believes it was beautifully done. How he was transported:It was a normal day and a normal task for almost any actor or actress looking for cheap props. The pawnshop down the street. Anyone and everyone could find just about anything at a cheap price. Odd machines, strange clothing, out-dated objects that once were thought of as cool or in fashion. As usual, Lorenzo was on his way to get such items for his next play as props, particularly a crowbar. Playing the part of a common a mobster's right hand man, he needed something intimitating but simple. In fact, when he made his way into the shop, he found that exactly what he was looking for. On clearance. Cheap. And just brought in that very morning. In his pocketsFlask of watered down whiskey. Sunglasses. Crowbar in belt loop (prop for next Play/Pukka). Leather wallet with pictures of himself and past girlfriends.

[History]Elementry YearsAren't those just the awkward experiances everyone has to face? Meeting new people for the first time in his life, and already developing his quiet nature, Lorenzo was a bit of a an oddball. He wasn't too fond of noisy games, wasn't much of a napper, and enjoyed keeping himself busy with books. Schoolwork? Probably not the best grades in his class, but there were just some things Lore couldn't focus on, mostly math. He didn't get much friends in his early life, as most kids saw him as an oppurtunity to test out their new 'jokes' and teasing games. And when Lorenzo did retaliate, he often had to pull his card, stand in the corner during recess, or write a letter of apology for 'fighting'. Not that you could call it much of a fight, it was mostly Lore surprising the kid with a punch or a shove and anyone else who was around him. As a child, Lorenzo had flashes of anger, and already coupled as the weird kid, his odd bouts of violence earned him a reputation as 'unteachable' by most of the teachers. Highschool/CollegeBy now Lore has found, and stuck to what he loves the most. Drama. No not that teenage angst everyone goes through, but acting and theater. Taking every chance he could get to be in as many classes and productions as possible, he allowed himself the luxorary of indulging into his passion. Other subjects, including math, obviously suffered because of this, but he did well enough to scrape by with the average needed to stay active in his favorite subject. Up to this point he gathered a few reliable friends to sit around with and talk to, or rather listen on his part. It wasn't often he offered his own opinions, and when he did it was often a twisted jest at what he really believed. After all, he was a man of mystery around the campus, why allow any nobody in on his dealings and beliefs? Surely there was no sense in that; as he seemed to believe. Growing up a bit and joining a college, he became more patient in his conversations and with his friends, fully believing without hesitation that there was no point in getting bent out of shape over everything. There was no rule that demanded everyone tell everything about themselves, and as such Lorenzo developed a system of simple lies as answers to any questions (suited for starting a debate or argument) that may be bounced his way with something agreeable to the other person. After failing a single class in college, and getting an earfull from his mother, Lorezo grudgingly decided to set aside his passion for threater to work heavily on his studies; however still only passing with high Bs. Drama ClassesNow those were fun times! Lorenzo had gotten use to himself and now had nothing holding him back against his aspiration to become an actor. That is, except his mother. Whereas his step-father was understanding and supportative, he had a large blowout with his mother that resulted in a strained relationship and awkward family get togethers. She didn't think acting was a suitable way to live one's life, and Lorenzo was unwilling to let it go, thusly he moved away from their home in Buffolo and he got an apartment in Brooklyn where he took his classes. Of course, he had to work part-time to pay for the classes and the rent, but that soon came to a close as he got his first acting job from Tony. With experiance under his belt, and the desire to learn, Lorenzo soon graduated near the top of his class and moved on to finding actual acting jobs. Past GirlfriendsName - When - Duration - Reason for breakupVeronica Stanzert - Middle School (8th grade) - 2 weeks - He was too quiet and wasn't good at conversation. Becky Wildmen - Highschool - 3 days - Her friends said he was freak and weird. Kelly Lovened - Highschool - 2 1/2 weeks - Her parents didn't like him and said he was a bad influence. Hannah Davidson - Highschool - 1 Month, 9 days - Lorenzo got into a fight with her ex because he took her to prom. Megan Gilbert - Highschool - 4 weeks - He kissed her and called it an experiment. Rebbeca Opewin - Highschool - 6 days - He broke it off and called her annoying. Jesse Burm - College - 1 month, 3weeks - She thinks he lied about cheating on her when he didn't seem interested in her anymore. Tina "Hyena" Brown - College 2 weeks, 4 days - He wouldn't talk and she wouldn't stop. Tabatha Wicker - College - 1 month, 1 week - Left him for the lead actor in the school's production of 'Little shop of horrors'. Actress 1 - Drama Classes - 1 hour - He told her it was a dare. Actress 2 - Drama Classes - 20 Minutes - Her friend told her someone dared him. Actress 3 - Drama Classes - 3 hours - It was a mutual breakup. *coughs* <.< Hillary Teeter - Last 'girlfriend' up to this date - 3 1/2 weeks - He never really opened up and she suspected he had a record of some sort. Recent LifeHe's been fairly busy getting roles where ever he can and keeping up a steady flow of money with the jobs he gets. So far its been little stuff, with the biggest roles being that of Gadric Stoneblade and the supporting actor for "Baby Back". Lately he hasn't had much time on his hands, and just landed another role for one of Tony's bigger pictures; playing the Second to the main villian, who eventually has a bigger part in the end. A step up for the small-time actor. Life thus far hasn't been too bad, and he suspects it shouldn't begin to get anymore worse off with how his carreer is starting to propel upward. However, he is a man of vice, and still frequently visits his little hotspots in clubs and bars, continuing still with his charade of seperate characters; all for the sake of experiance in the field no acting class could provide. Real live situations, working with people and their real emotions... even if Lorenzo's is fake.

['The Family'] The Step-Father Name: Gino Masearro Nickname: The Godfather Age: 56 Occupation: Manager of moving truck company, hard times and finacial distress current in the business. Relation to Lorenzo: Married Lorenzo's mother when he was still young, under 6, and has raised him as his own. Open minded and eccentric when it comes to watching movies, he talked frequently to Lorenzo about the dealings of the 'mob' from what he watched in the movies, and from his 'childhood' so he says. He finds his step son to be just as interested in the era as himself, and will indulge in the pleasure of talking about it any chance possible. Thoughts: He is highly prideful of Lorenzo's ability to play the mobster in films and plays, and is happy to call him son. The Mother Name: Maria Masearro Nickname: Angel Age: 51 Occupation: Accountant for a high end Italian restaurant. Relation to Lorenzo: Mother and all around rule enforcer of the house. Thoughts: her family comes from a long line of college educated, high-class use to money and dealing with ecconomic needs. She's disappointed at how her marriage turned out, and morse in Lorenzo's acting carrier. It disturbs her how he doesn't aspire for more, in life and his carreer. Maria believes her son could be the next big time movie star, yet he doesn't get cast in any leading roles. However, she is more disappointed that he has not marriet, and worries she won't live to see her grandkids at this rate. Friend Name: Tony Vaurez Nickname: Boss Age: 38 Occupation: Small time director/actor. Relation to Lorenzo: Long time friend from acting classes. Met Lorenzo the first year he was taking professional classes, and immediatly cast him in a small production of "Big Time", a film he directed forlocal theaters and events. Since then he continues to cast Lorenzo in most of his movies, keeping him informed on oppening parts, and putting in a good word for Lore where ever possible. Thoughts: A good actor for the 'bad side' of films, and easily traslates between roles. All in all, Lorenzo is a valueable actor to have on call. Friend Name: Vincent Gerald Nickname: Snitch Age: 29 Occupation: Aspiring actor. Relation to Lorenzo: Good friend and joking buddy, he met Lorenzo on the set of "Prohibition" and has grown fond of him since. He finds Lore to be rather quiet, if not shy if he didn't know him better, but there's a respect for the man who can pull off so many different personalities like a click of a switch. Thoughts: Eh, he thinks Lorenzo could take a load off if he just laid back and let life come as it is, and he's way to damn quiet for his own good. But he's someone to model after in the acting business, and its a wonder why he hasn't gone after any of the leads yet. Vincent just figures its a matter of time, and until then he's going to get on Lore's good side, and just maybe he'll ride his coattails to fame!

[Creature] This is a made up creature of mine, with all rights reserved. I would appreciate it if the idea and the art would not be used in any way without my permission.[.Gender.]Stallion [.Breed and Myth.]Fer'ngarde - An ageless race of equines that is rumored to have orginated in early europe, particularly Italy. Myth has it, highly exasgerated from the actual creature, that lone travelers were often approached by a seemingly normal black horse, the only thing odd about it was often the brute's size. Large, but with a grace desireable of any lord's mount. Therefor, it was thought to be good luck to offer it as a gift to a reigning king, lord, or even duke. However, stick around long enough to get too close, and the encounter turns for the worst. After a Fer'ngarde has lured in its prey, the traveler, they will drop the facade of smoke and shadow to reveal their true form (see above). A mystical power binds the soul of the travler to the burning pit of the equine, a Fer'ngarde's very soul, the moment it is touched by the horse in any way. This bind is overpowering and ultimately goads, tricks, demands, and feverishly demands the traveler to mount the fiendish horse's back. Strogly willed minds may be able to refuse the harsh suggestions, but it is rumored must be extremely calm and unafraid to do so. However that is a rare occurance, as the Fer'ngarde's appearance is designed to influence fear and panic within their victims. Once astride the demonic horse, they are taken upon one final ride. In this state they are thought to be almost zombie like, at least physically, for the victim's mind is still very much alive and active at this point. During the duration of the ride, if one is not able to break the spell between them (done by calming oneself and regaining control of the their body to jump off) their soul is ultimately thought to be added to the burning pit of the horse's stomach- its meal for the night. In reality, myth aside, the Fer'ngarde is a creature that 'feeds' off the fear of paniced riders. It is only thought that the souls were eaten as its meal because the people were often found scared stiff and in an extreme state of shock. Unless wishing to bring harm upon an individual, the equine is fairly harmless- physically. Mentally it may very well scar one for life. [.Height.]18h [.Build.]Sturdy and firm, he has the build of strength given to the mortal warhorses, though not limited by their bulk. Large in size, also quite sleek when it comes to his frame. (Think Friesian ) [.Coat Color.]A rich, dark, smokey black. No visible markings. [.Abilities.]A Fer'ngarde's abilities lies with its appearance. Able to mask its true form with the bending of shadows around its body, it can totally look like a mortal horse without flaw. However, in true form, the horse is solid all around, but with shadowy parts of its body (legs and the bottom of the barrel) that are whispy in nature. The barrel of a Fer'ngarde exposes its burning soul to the world, anywhere from a faint red glow when its resting, to a more flamey look when its feeding; though it does not have control over the flames. This burning of its 'soul' produces smoke, which is released through many tiny pores along its neck and back, creating a lengthy mane and tail. The skull of the horse has no eyes to see, and thus they are thought to be blind. Which holds some fact. They are unable to see in the true sense of the word, however they use the shadows and their depths to feel the shapes and the densities around them. Its one true ability deals with the influence of mind, able to speak into another's mind only after physical contact to create the link. With this contact, the Fer'ngarde will use fear and intimitation, with the heavy suggesting, demanding, and persuading to get a victim onto their backs. [.Reasoning.]An actor in more than occupation, Lorenzo has proven time in time again that he uses his acting skills and love of drama for keeping situations under control; his control. Manipulating, caniving, and all around able to sell the story he needs others to believe. The Fer'ngarde, likewise, is an actor in the sense it disguises itself and manipulates the situation for its benefit; a feast upon someone's soul (according to myth).

xD It kinda reminds me of a Kelpie and how they lure people to the water to drown them, but I'm not sure I've heard of a horse that lures people to ride. Perhaps I should look into similar myths, it might be an interesting read.
