Roleplay at the HQ #1

=====

Pavement took a long drag on her cigarette and flicked it into a garbage can sitting outside the HQ. She pulled Mosrael along by the hand. He stared around. He'd been here before! Pave sat on a bench and sighed. She set Mos on a chair to look around.
==
==
Gabo opened the door to the HQ, a spaced out Storm in his arms. As he took a few steps into the room he spoted Pavement and Mosrael.
"Hey" The half demon greeted them, a warm smile on his face.
He had never seen them here before..Perhaps this was a good chance for Storm to open up more.
He took a seat next to them, placing Storm gently on the floor in front of him.
==
==
Pave looked up and smiled, too.
"Hi. Who do you have there?" She looked inquiringly at the pink-haired boy.
"Mos," she said, poking Mos's shoulder, "you might have a new friend."
Mos looked around and spotted the boy with pink hair. Pink! He scooted forward on the chair to get a better look. He made another scoot forward and almost fell off the chair. She scooped him up just in time and set him on the ground in front of the bright-haired boy.
==
==
"This is Storm." Gabo replied, patting the boy on the head to indicate who he was refering to. The boy made a small noise, but other then that, did not react.
Somehow Mosreal's form attracted Storm's attention, and his eyes stayed glued to the boy's face, unmoving.

Gabo was instantly surprised by this, never before has anyone ever gotten the boy's attention that quickly--Not even him!
"He must like you." The half demon said cheerily, hope lacing his words.
==
==
"This is Mosrael. It seems Mos must like Storm, or at least his hair." She smiled and laughed a little. Mos glanced at his mother quickly, but then immediately switched his attentions back to the boy. Mos stared silently at Storm, not moving an inch. Pave pushed Mos forward and Mos stepped awkwardly toward Storm. He couldn't tell if the boy would react or not, but Mos held his hand out to Storm, as he had seen his mother do to strangers.
"I wonder what he's doing..." Pavement thought out loud.
==
==
Storm didn't seem to notice the boy's movements towards him, his eyes still on the other's face. But something told him to reach out his hand--those voices talking to him again..Do it..
For a moment he just lisened to the voices, but then his hand moved to grasp Mosreal's slugishly, his grip very loose.

"He moved!" Gabo exclaimed, though after he said it he felt odd.
People were supposed to move, so it was only normal. But that would mean that Storm was normal, after all.
The half demon couldn't help but smile at this. "Your Mos is a miracle worker, I've never seen Storm so active before."
==
==
Pave was puzzled.
"Miracle worker? Mos? That's odd. Nobody's ever called Mos a miracle worker."
Mos could feel Storm's loose hand in his. He tightened his grip a little to encourage the pink-haired one. Pave looked down at Mos, holding the boy's hand.
"Does Storm generally act anti-social or something?" Mos was smiling a little now, still gripping the boy's hand.
==
==
"Well, I suppose you could say that.." Gabo paused, thinking of the best way to respond.
"He's..alittle..odd I guess. Storm doesn't seem to be like the other children. I mean--he doesn't talk, or make much noise. And he doesn't move around much."
The half demon ran his fingers through the boy's pink hair lovingly. "I know he's still a little young to be talking and walking, but he doesn't really take much notice in things. Almost like he's in his own little world."

Storm began to take notice in the other boy before him, and for the first time he saw the boy's long hair, and deep eyes and expression. Something stired in him, but it simply faded away not long after.
==
==
"Mos is almost the opposite. He likes people a lot. He's still odd, though. The nitemares are what rattles him, mostly." Pave smiled down at her little boy. Mos didn't notice. What he did notice was a flash of something through Storm's eyes. What was it? It was gone as soon as it had come. He couldn't put his finger on it, but there was something about this boy. Something...different. Was it his soul? Mos shook his head and all his hair went into his face. Pave laughed and pushed it away while Mos blinked.
==
==
Storm's hand dropped to his side suddenly, though it was imposible to tell if the boy did it intentionaly or not. His expression seemed softer now, but his eyes were still filled with emptiness.
Storm began to pick up the oddest sent from Mosreal all of a sudden, one that over powered his human scent. This scent appeared to come from that of an animal..but he couldn't recall it exactly.

"Nightmares?" Gabo glanced at Pavement as he said this word. She seemed slightly worried about it, could it really be that bad? After all, dreams couldn't hurt you, right?"
==
==
"Yeah. He did some bad stuff in a past life. He has to raise lambs now, and they whisper to him at night. It scares me sometimes too. He gets terrible nitemares. I thought they would start when he was a teenager, but I was wrong." Pave's eyes widened a little.

As Storm dropped his hand, Mos was a little perplexed. Did this mean that the boy didn't like him anymore? A glance at Storm's eyes told Mos the truth. The boy was practically entranced by something. His eyes were empty and his nose was flicking quirkily.
==
==
Gabo took the information in slowly, not saying a word, but nodding so that Pavement knew he was listening.
It seemed unfair to the half demon, no matter how many terrible things Mosreal may have done in his past, he was still just an innocent baby now..right?
"It seems scary..Poor Mosreal.." Gabo cleared his throat.
He smiled suddenly, brushing his blue hair from his face. "But..Maybe Mos wouldn't be so afriad if he had a friend with him? Perhaps Storm could spend the night with him sometime?"

Lamb..The scent was from a lamb..Why would a human smell like a lamb? Perhaps he was part lamb and part human? No.. The scent seemed to come from his skin, not his blood..

Continuation of RP #1

=====

"Spend the night, eh? Mos, wouldn't you like that?" Pave looked down on her little boy. Mos didn't react. "Yes, a night would be good. Maybe Storm can calm Mos down at night..."

Mos was still entranced by Storm. The pink-haired boy's eyes were nearly empty, but filled with a void of concentration. What was this boy thinking? Could Mos enter the inner workings of Storm's obviously complex mind? Was Storm smelling something unpleasant, or was it just Mary, Mos's favorite lamb.
==
==
Gabo smiled, nodded happily to Pavement's words. He was happy she had accepted, maybe the two boy's could help eachother in some way?
The half demon looked down, and the features of his face turned to that of questioning. What were they looking at? ..They seemed so focused on one another.

Storm lowered his eyes without warning, breaking the concentracion he had been focusing on Mosreal. A lamb was a lamb, what did it matter what the boy smelled like?
The boy felt more aware of his surroundings more then he ever had been, and he glanced up to gaze upon Gabo for a while. So that was the man who was taking care of him..
Once Storm had gotten his fill, he moved on to Pavement, then finally back to Mosreal. He had to say, Mos was the most interresting in the room by far. He felt a connection to this boy, an odd understanding.
==
==
Mos was surprised when Storm looked away from him. He almost drew back a little. He thought maybe Storm was going to attack or something. When Storm moved his eyes around and looked at the man and Mos's mother, Mos understood. Storm was just studying everyone else. Mos smiled a little and looked up at the man who was Storm's guardian. His hair was colored too, but not as fun to look at as Storm's. Mos looked up at Pave as well, and motioned to be picked up. Pave looked a bit disappointed.
"You don't want to play anymore?" She lifted him up and he immediately searched her purse for something. What, though? What in this mess of lipstick and cigarettes would Storm want? Then he pulled out something shiny and strange. Perfect!
==
==
Storm felt his sence of reality slipping away as Mosreal's mother picked him up, without the other boy near he couldn't concentrate any longer. The only thing he could feel as he stared mindlessly at the floor was a painful loss. His eyes no longer seemed to hold that luster of wonder, the void closing in until there was nothing else.
Why was he here..? He couldn't remember.. He'll be back..he isn't leaving you.
Storm willed himself to look back up at Mos, watching him as he seemed to be searching for something.
==
==
Mos was triumphant. He hopped nimbly off the chair and presented a shiny, bubble-gum pink ball to Storm.
[pink ball]
"It's..." Pave was surprised and flustered. "I've...I made...I..." She was utterly speechless. "It's a ball, but I got that for Mos. He wanted it, apparently, to give to Storm. I...Wow."
==
==
Storm stared at the round object for a moment, not quite sure what to do.
Why was Mosreal handing him this? It didn't belong to him, it belonged to Mos..He's giving it to you.
The boy seemed confused, but he made a soft sound, as if to say; "thanks.."

"Aww, isn't that sweet? We'll have to get Mos something in return, won't we, Storm." Gabo took up the ball, and he placed it in his pocket. "I'll keep it until we get home, I don't want Storm to lose it."
The half demon turned to Mosreal with a grin. "Thanks, Mos."
==
==
Mos looked up at the man speaking to him. He couldn't really understand, but Storm had thanked him, he was sure. He had made a noise and Mos was satisfied.
"Well, what do you know? Mos sure likes Storm." Pave was pleasantly surprised. "This may be the start of a good friendship, eh?" She smiled at Mos. Mos turned back to her and smiled too. He then returned to Storm, who was still standing in front of him.
==
==
"Yep, it seems that way. They seem to really like eachother."
Gabo patted Storm on the head, the way he often did, but for the first time the boy looked up at him as a result.
"Looks like he's coming out of his shell a bit, huh?"

Storm felt a strange delight in having Mos back next to him, and he held up the small orb that was on his braclet, to show his new friend that it was the same shape as the gift.
The orb was a light purpleish pink, and inside it contained a small, cold-burning flame that gave off no heat.
==
==
"He sure is getting more comfortable." She answered. Mos watched as Storm lifted his arm. He saw that there was an orb on Storm's wrist, too. Mos became excited. It was so close to the ball Mos had just given Storm! It had a flame of sorts inside it, but there was no heat. He reached out and poked the small ornament with his forefinger. It wiggled a little and Mos smiled happily. He poked it again and looked at Storm as if to say 'That is such a cool toy!'
"Mos, be careful. You don't want that orb to fall off, now do you?" Pave warned him.
==
==
The orb gave off little bouts of energy, black in color, but it dissapeared soon after.
It appeared that it was only trying to protect what was inside, but wouldn't act up fully unless
someone with hostile intentions touched it.
Storm let Mos poke at his braclet, hoping to asure the boy that it wouldn't hurt him unless he wanted to hurt it.

"It's ok, that's what children do. Besides, I don't think it can fall of, that charm is quite odd.." Gabo commented in an attempt to reasure Pavement.
The half demon ofered her a smile.

Roleplay at the HQ #2

=====

Dragain sped into the HQ, laughing away madly with Ingina on her back. Ingina was also laughing and as Dragain sat her down on the floor, she smiled up at her. Dragain laid back on the comfy sofa and waited, hoping that someone will drop by soon.
==
==
Astraea approached the building nervously, wondering what lay in store for her. Resting firmly against her hip was young girl she had come to name Lorelei. After the strange circ**stances in which she had became the guardian of the fiery haired infant, she had learned much about what exactly the girl was and had been quick the learn that there were other children in the same situation. It was her thirst to know more, as well as her desire for her daughter to meet other such as herself that she had come.

Pushing the door open only enough for her to slip inside, she made her way toward the lounges that first captured her attention. Her jade gaze was quick to come to rest upon another woman and a young girl. Quietly she made her way over to the woman. "Is this seat taken?" she asked, indicating to the vacant seat beside the other woman.

From her perch Lorelei watched the other girl curiously, quick to notice the wings upon her back. Wanting to investigate further she squirmed in her mothers arms, until she was set gently upon the ground.
==
==
Pave walked into the HQ with Mosrael on her shoulders. He ducked when they entered, so as not to hit his head on the doorframe. Pave looked around and saw two new people. She pulled Mos off and set his down, holding his hand as they walked to the new girls.
"Hi there!"

Mos could see a pair of...somethings. What were these new things, were they as friendly as Storm?
==
==
Dragain looked at the new woman that had just entered and replied, "Take a seat! I'm Dragain, but feel free to call me Dra." Upon spotting the female infant in her arms, Dragain smiled warmly and nodded. "You have a beautiful child. May I ask for both your names?"

Ingina looked at the young Infant. A new girl! That means that she may have a new friend soon...
==
==
Dragain saw another pair of mother and child, and thought happily, Today's going to be lively!" Dragain made space on the sofa for all three of them and introduced herself again.

Ingina moved towards the new boy and held out a hand to him. "Her-lo" She managed to say as she beckoned him forward. Then, she turned to the new girl and held out her other hand, hoping that they can sit together and make friends.
==
==
Astraea smiled warmly at the other woman. "My name is Astraea" she replied brightly, "and this little lady is Lorelei".

At the mention of her name, Lorelei turned to grin widely at her mother before turning back to the winged girl before her. Placing her hands upon her chest, she became thoughtful for a moment. "Or" she said matter-of-factly, trying her best to introduce herself.

Not having noticed the other child before, Astraea smiled at her before turning her attention back to Dragain. "I could say the same about you golden-haired babe" she replied still smiling. Hearing another voice behind her, Astraea turned to see another woman. "Hello" she called back to her.
==
==
"Well, we've really got a party here, eh? I'm Pave, this little boy is Mosrael, but everyone calls him Mos." Pave smiled and sat down on the couch.

Mos didn't react to his own name, prefering instead to stare emptily at the girls. Lorelei and Ingina? Those were odd. Where was Storm? Now he looked up to his mother questioningly. She didn't notice, so he turned his attention back to the girls. One of them had her hand out, as he had had for Storm. He grasped her hand and looked at her. There was something on her back. Wings!
==
==
Dragain grinned and said, "Yes. There is quite a party tonight! Thanks Astraea!"

Ingina smiled when the one the adults called Mos gripped her hand. She felt so happy, and warm inside. Lorelei was really nice too, and Ingina smiled at her, beckoning her to come closer to Mos and her.
==
==
"I'm Astraea and the little red-head is Lorelei" she replied, introducing herself to Pave. Scooting over in her seat, she patted the empty seat beside her, indicating that Pave should join them.

Satisfied somewhat with her introduction, Lorelei followed the path made by Ingina's out-stretched hand. A small frowned creased her lips as she noticed another hand and the end of hers. Raising her green eyes, she was surprised to see a raven-haired boy attached to the end. Smiling at him she mimicked the same movements she had used with Ingina. "Or" she enthused, shuffling closer to the pair.
==
==
"Hello." Pave watched the children interact. "They're so cute, aren't they?"

The girl without wings, Lorelei, had said "Or." What was that supposed to mean? She was coming closer and Mos could see that she was nice. He held out his hand to her. Would she take it? The girl with wings, Ingina, was still holding on to Mos's hand, but he didn't feel that connection like he had with Storm.
==
==
Ingina grinned happily. She flapped her wings a little and placed a loose strand of hair behind her ear. She wondered what they could do next. It's boring to just sit there. Then, a sensation, like a thought of some sort, ran through her brain. 'Mos... Lambs...' The thoughts seem to whisper in her mind. Then, the feeling went away as sudden as it had came.

Ingina shook her head. It wasn't the first time, and it won't be the last. She strecked out a wing to Mos, seemingly wanting him to have a feel. She looked at Lorelei and did the same.
==
==
Noticing the Mos's other hand was extended toward her, she c**ked her head slightly almost as if she were examining it. Satisfied that is had passed her inspection, she nodded curtly before placing her hand into his. Turning her attention to Ingina, her eyes widened as a feathered wing made its way toward her. She hesitated, before curiosity overcame her. Reaching out, she gently stroked the wing grinning at Ingina.

Astraea nodded, smiling to herself as she watched the children. "Do they stay like that no matter how old they get?" she asked, still being new to raising children and with all her current children still being mere babes-in-arms.
==
==
Mos saw that Ingina was holding out her wing to him. He felt the overwhelming urge to take hold of it. He let go of Ingina's hand and felt the feathers of her wing under his soft fingers. They were smooth and dark. He could feel some sort of energy coursing through them. He almost pulled his hand away.

"He likes her wings, I believe." Pave observed. "Mos, careful on those wings, okay?" He looked to her and back at the wing in his hand and nodded.
==
==
Dragain smiled again and said, "Children all grow up." Then, looking at the children playing and holding hands, she continued, "Although Ingina was always be my little girl..."

Ingina was delighted! They had made a little circle by linking hands. She would have been happiler if Mama haden't decided to scoop her up at that time. She pouted and struggled, but Mama just smiled at her.

"I have to go now, Karimaru's alone at home. He's her step-brother." Dragain said. Ingina peeped over her Mama's shoulders and waved goodbye.
==
==
Lorelei gave a startled cry, which soon became a cry of protest as Ingina was whisked away. Sadly she waved goodbye, hoping that perhaps they would meet again sometime soon.

"It was a pleasure to meet you Dragain" Astraea called after the woman's fleeting form, "I hope we can get together again".
==
==
Mos was a little startled by the sudden leaving of one of the group, but as she waved goodbye, he extended his arm and waved as well. Now he turned his attentions to Lorelei, the girl with the golden armband. He held ou this hand to her to see if she was friendly.

"See you later, Dragain." Pave called after the leaving woman.
==
==
Although saddened by the departure of Ingina, Lorelei turned her attention back to her other companion. Seeing that his arm was once more extended toward her, she reached out confidently and grasped it. Her green eyes lingered upon their joined hands for a moment, before she rose them to meet his gaze. She smiled warmly at him, waiting to see if he would smile back.

"Has Mos been with you long?" Astraea asked Pave, although her gaze was fixed upon the two children. Her mind wondered what grave sin Mos has committed in order to be reborn upon Gaia.
==
==
Lorelei was smiling at Mos. He smiled politely back and sort of shook her hand in his. He wondered if she was anything like Storm. His mind seemed to revolve around Storm now. He shook his head a little and looked into Lorelei's green eyes.

"I've had Mos for...ah, nearly two weeks?" Pave was thinking. "Yeah, almost two weeks. I'm bad at dates!" She was laughing a little.
==
==
A frowned tugged at the corner of Lorelei's lips as she noticed Mos shake his head. Is something wrong? she wanted to ask him, although she couldn't form the words to say so. Instead she continued to frown at him, tilting her head slight as she did so.

"From little I know about TOR's, they are said to have committed a grave sin in there past" she stated, turning her attention to Pave, "have you leant yet of Mos's?
==
==
Why was she frowning at him? Mos was worried a little, he wondered if she didn't like him. He squeezed her hand in a reassuring way to let her know that he wanted to be friends with her. He smiled kindly at her, willing her to smile back.

"Oh, very nearly. It was somewhat outlined in the letter I recieved shortly after I acquired this little scamp." She smiled down at him. "I thought everyone got a letter. Maybe it was just to explain the presence of his lamb..." She trailed off, thinking.
==
==
Sensing that whatever had been troubling earlier had passed, she smiled back although concern still dwelt in the back of her mind. Feeling him squeeze her hand, her smile become a grin as she squeezed back.

"Perhaps mine has yet to arrive" Astraea replied, which she figured was most likely the case seeing as Lorelei had only been in her care a few days. Turning her gaze to the children she smiled again as she rose slowly to her feet.
"I apologise, but Lorelei and I must be off" she stated regretfully. She would have loved to have stayed far longer, but there were other things she had to attended too.

Turning her attention to her mother, Lorelei's eyes widened as she saw she was standing. Fearing this meant that she herself must leave, she tightened her grip upon Mos's arm.

Moving to her daughter's side, Astraea gently pried her hand from Mos's arm. "I'm sorry honey but we have to go" she cooed soothingly to the girl as she lifted her into her arms. "We will come back soon so you can see Mos's and Ingina again ok". Moving toward the door, Astraea turned back to smile at Pave and Mos. "I hope we can meet again soon, I think Lorelei might like that" she called back to Pave, before turning back to the door.

Much like Ingina had done, Lorelei peeked over her mother's shoulder, waving frantically at Mos's until he disappeared from view.
==
==
Mos was surprised again when Lorelei was scooped up and taken away, but the girl was waving goodbye to Mos, just as Ingina had done. Mos waved back, smiling all the while.

"Yeah, I'll see you later. Mos would like it if he saw Lorelei again." Pave smiled and pulled Mos into her arms, exiting after Astraea.

Teaching Mos to Speak

=====

Teaching Mos words is harder than I thought. I mean, who would've thought that Mos can barely say "Mo"? We had a teaching session to teach him to say his favorite game, patty-cake.

"Can you say it Mos? Kuko."

"Ko."

"Close. Kuko."

"Ko!"

"Kuko"

"Ku."

"Put them together...kuko."

[excitedly] "Koko!"

"Kuko."

"Ku...ko."

[excitedly] "Yes! Kuko. Say it Mos."

"Ku...ko. Ku...ko. Kuko."

[screaming] "You did it Mos! You can say kuko! You did it! Yeah!"

I then lifted him up and paraded him around the room. The other boys just stared.

Roleplay at the HQ #3

=====

Pave walked into the HQ with Mos resting firmly on her hip. She walked over to a couch and sat, pulling out a MAD Magazine to read. She looked up and around quickly, but saw nobody yet. Mos was sitting on the ground, playing what appeared to be patty-cake with the floor.

"Hey Mos," She said. "Think that Storm's gonna be here today?" Mos's eyes lit up at the mention of Storm's name. He became alert and was searching the halls of the HQ for a sign of Storm's pink hair or glowing bracelet.
==
==
As if on cue the door to the HQ opened, a blue haired boy stepped into the room, his usual grin in place. "Hey, Pave! Just the person I was hoping to see." Storm had been restless all day, but Gabo was just happy the boy was a little more active then usual.
He had suspected it was because he wanted to see Mos again, so here they were.

Storm was placed on the ground next to Mos as Gabo walked over, his pink hair bouncing slightly, but then shifting back into place. He extended his hand as a sort of greeting between the two, then retracted it before Mos had the change to react.
==
==
"Gabo! Oh, good, Mos was really hoping Storm would be here." She smiled and patted Mos on the head.

Mos was a little confused by the move that Storm made, but he copied it and grinned widely. He stepped forward a little toward Storm and made a face that said "I missed you."
==
==
"Storm, too." Gabo half laughed.
"Who would have thought that they become such quick friends." The half demon followed Pave's example, patting Storm on the head as she had done for Mos.

Storm's face seemed softer, but it kept it normal blank look. His eyes spoke diffrently, though, as they didn't appear to be as void. Perhaps he was trying to say; "Me too..."
==
==
"I know, it's like a bond. That's so sweet." Her face practically beamed down on Storm and Mos. Mos didn't look up, but he made a noise in her direction that indicated that she was annoying him.

Mos suddenly got an idea and his eyes sparkled with happiness. He could teach patty-cake to Storm, then he'd have somebody to play it with him. He clapped his hands together and tried to indicate that Storm should do the same.
==
==
"I wonder why the connect so well, though?" Gabo thought out loud, a smile crossing his face at Mos' actions. They did seem to have similar personalities..
"Maybe it has to do with their pasts?" The half demon sugested, though he couldn't be so sure.

Storm stayed scilent, but he moved to cup his hands over Mos' own. Was this what he wanted? Or was he asking for something else? Such a complicated boy his new friend was..
==
==
"Maybe." Pave was interested in Storm's past now. "I don't know. Do you know much about Storm's crime?"

Mos seperated Storm's hands calmly and, grasping Storm's wrists gently, he lightly clapped his hands together. Storm had looked confused, so Mos was trying to give him an example. Would Storm get it? Mos wished desperately that he could tell Storm what he wanted.
==
==
"Well..it might sound odd, but the night I found Storm I also found a story book. I think it might have something to do with his past, but I've been to timid to read it." Gabo admitted, half ashamed.

Storm let Mos move his hands as he pleased, watching the boy's face instead of their hands. He supposed he understood now, Mos wanted him to move his hands like that?
Storm obeyed, moving his hands in the manner Mos had taught him. But what purpose did it serve?
==
==
"A book, eh?" Pave smiled. "I got a letter outlining it basically. I think the letter was just to tell me why Mos had a lamb with him. I' not sure, but I sort of got the gist of his crime..." She trailed off, staring at the innocent little boy.

When Storm moved his hands the way Mos showed him, Mos was delighted. He giggled a little and clapped his own hands. Then he pulled Storm's hands forward a little so that the palms were facing his own and he pushed their hands together. He was proud of himself, he taught Storm to play patty-cake! But would Storm understand? It was a complicated process, playing patty-cake.
==
==
"That's odd..Did the letter have a return address?" Gabo asked, rather curious now.

Storm seemed to be getting it now, all he had to do was put his hands together, then put his hands together with Mos'. But then what? Did he start over, or was that the end?
Storm did as he was shown once, just so Mos knew he understood.
==
==
"No, all it said was my name. Didn't even have my address. It must have been personally delivered." She was thinking hard about the envelope she had recieved.

Mos was happy now. Storm had got it! Mos babbled something that sounded like "Kuko!" then turned to Pave and repeated it.

"Oh God! He said cake!" Pave was flustered. This was the first time Mos had ever spoken outside the house. "Gabo, I think Storm helped Mos speak. He's never said a single intelligible word anywhere but at home. That's...wow."
==
==
Gabo laughed slightly, 'kuko' was intelligible? Well, for a baby it was good. The half demon smiled down at the boys, proud of Storm. "Good, they're helping each other out, then." He stated, patting Storm's pink hair.

Storm looked up as a commotion broke out, his concentration on the task at hand fading. What were they yelling about, had he done something wrong? Storm glanced back to the only one he understood, and shot Mos a questioning glance.
==
==
"Yes. That's good." She was calming down now, taking deep breaths and smiling down at Mos. "Good."

Mos shrugged a little. He had said something, but he didn't know if it was bad or good. He let his arms fall to his sides. He wanted to crawl around a little now, but he wasn't sure if he was in trouble. He scooted to the left a bit, just to see how Pave would react. She didn't seem to care, but would Storm feel rejected? Mos looked into Storm's eyes.
==
==
Storm seemed to hold no opinion on the issue Mos was debating, then he held out his hand to the boy once more, his little greeting. Once he was sure Mos got the idea that he didn't mind, he took his hand back, watching the other with simple intrest.
What was it about Mos that he found so intresting? No one else seemed worthy of even reacting to, but Mos was diffrent, by far.
==
==
Mos saw Storm extend his hand and took it to mean that Storm didn't mind him crawling about. He scooted around a bit and explored under the couches. He popped his head out a couple times to shake the dust bunnies off, but kept on exploring. Storm just watched him. Mos wondered why, but it was just a thought at the back of his head. Coupled with that thought was one other: Why did Mos feel so attached to Storm? Storm was just another boy, but Mos felt close to this one. He wasn't sure why, but he felt good about it.
==
==
Gabo stood up suddenly, picking up Storm from the floor. "I'm so sorry, I hadn't notice it was so late. I have to go make dinner." The half demon said hurridly, heading for the door.
"Thanks for today, and I hope Storm and Mos can have that sleep over soon, I know he's looking forward to it. See ya." With that, he slipped out the door.

A visit to Dr. Uh-Oh

=====

Today Mos and I visited the doctor. He was not particularly excited. In truth, he was practically stiff with fright. He didn't know whether to cry or scream when the doctor, nicknamed Dr. Uh-Oh, approached him with a tongue depressor. The doctor was actually really nice and accomodating to Mos's...struggles. When Mos nearly kicked out the doctor's teeth, there was no fuss. Only a little jaw examination, then some profuse apologies on my part while Mos was just sulky. There were a LOT of tests! Mos had to look into a light, he had to get examined in his ear, and one where he...well, suffice it to say that he was not pleased. When I asked about Mos's nitemares, the doctor was completely stumped. More tests were run. Mos had to sleep for an hour before the doctor could state blandly that "There isn't anything mentally wrong with him." which leads me to believe that Mos is having these nitemares as a product of his crime, and though nothing mental is problematic, his mind is still corrupted. Which means he'll be like this until he's forgiven. Ack. In any case, the doctor gave us some pills for Mos to take before he goes to bed. Those things are like horse pills, I swear! Mos has to take them before bed and when he wakes up in the morning. He can't stand it and frankly, neither can I.

How huge is that? He'll never be able to make it every day!

Our doctor was nice though.

Roleplay at the HQ #4

=====

Pave strolled into the HQ, still smoking, with Mos on her hip. Mos tugged at her sleeve and pointed to the cigarette in her mouth. She let out a quick expletive and spat it out, stamping it into the concrete outside the HQ. Blushing a little, she re-entered the building. Spotting Mya, she said "Hey, I've never met you before!" She held out her hand and set Mos down on a chair to wait.
==
==
"I've just stumbled here." Mya said as Pave greeted her. "Mya." she introduced herself, shaking the other woman's hand. "Who's the little boy?" Mya was itching. Definitely curious, she felt welcomed, even despite she had just walked in.
==
==
"I'm Pave. This little boy is Mosrael. He's my Tear of Redemption." Mos made an angry noise in her direction when she used his full name. "Everyone calls him Mos. He doesn't like his full name." Mos nodded solemnly. "We just came in to see if someone else was in. Mos's been aching for some companionship. Isn't that right, Mos?" Mos nodded again. His eyes were bright and searching.
==
==
"Hi Mos." Mya greeted the child sweetly. "Tear of Redemption? What's that?" she asked Pave, turning to her again. She had never heard of such kind, and, the more she shuffled through her thoughts, the more she was confused.
==
==
Pave laughed a little. "This is the headquarters of the Tears of Redemption." She gestured around at the walls and the floor. "When someone does a very bad deed, they are reborn as a child. Then they go through life and in the end, they must atone of their one sin, then they are a forgiven adult. It's all very complicated and I've in no way explained it properly, but that's basically it." Mos had turned away from the lady that had spoken to him. There were no other children for him to play with. He wanted to see someone, but this lady had no children.
==
==
Blinking, Mya's expression turned blank. She looked to Mosrael again, processing the information, and tilted her head slowly. None of her adoptees were like that... How could that seemingly sweet child be a former criminal? "Wow..." she muttered, blinking again.

Some light steps came from the door, almost undetected. A smallish girl came in and head straight to Mya, her orange locks dangling like tentacles. Passing right along Pave, she clinged to Mya's right leg, hugging it tightly. "Don't poof like that again..." Thayla whinned, glaring to her guardian.

"Sorry... Oh Pave, this is Thayla." Mya patted the child's head, smilling to the other woman.
==
==
"Thayla? That's an interesting name." Pave looked toward Mos. "Mos, say hello." Mos turned around and squinted at Thayla. He seemed to conclude that she was unimpressive, however, because he turned back and started to play patty-cake with thin air. "Oh, he misses Storm. He's playing patty-cake. Aww." Pave's eyes were a teeny bit watery as she turned back to Mya. "So, I hope this doesn't sound rude, but what is Thayla? Species-wise, I mean."
==
==
Thayla try to hide partially from Pave's view, only a bit of her face showing from the side of Mya's legs, one of her violet eyes peaking up. Whatever she had said came out muffled.

"Thayla's a Gaian Legend. Her kind were spirits that protected the world. I'm not sure what happened, but a war raged between to factions because of humans, and the Legends who sided with the humans were reborn. They take a lot of forms, mostly animals that become more anthropomorphic I think. Thayla here's an octopus." Mya explained, not sure if she made too much sense.
==
==
Pave managed to understand what Mya was saying. "Oh." She said, trying to act as though she got it completely. "Sounds pretty cool." Mos looked over his shoulder at the octopus-girl Thayla, hiding behind her mother's legs. He was still dis-interested, but every so often he would turn back again and sneak a glance at the girl. Pave saw this behavior and lifted Mos off his chair, setting him down in front of Mya and Thayla. He squealed in protest as he moved through the air, but he was silenced by a look from Pave. "You've got to meet more people, Mos." Mos ignored her and instead chose to feign interest in the octopus-girl.

Storm's Sleepover

Pave rushed around the house preparing everything for Storm and Gabo's arrival. She put away all the ashtrays and threw out the garbage. All the boys in the house were scrambling out of her way as she yelled at them to get dressed, clean up, and brush their teeth. She swore loudly at Fahrenheit who was in the music room, listening to Mozart with Ranna. He jumped up and Ranna scrambled out of the room. Pave yelled at Fahrenheit to get a shirt on and comb his hair as she frantically ran out of the room, shouting over her shoulder for someone to pick up Rav and put her in her room. All the doors were slammed and all the boys presented themselves calmly and straightbacked downstairs. Pave had made sure to put away all the cigarettes and packs in the house, but somehow Ranna had managed to find one more. She grabbed it from him and stuffed it into her pocket before straightening up and holding Mos on her hip, waiting for the two guests to arrive.

Gabo held Storm in his arms as he walked, a peice of paper with scribblish writing on it between two fingers as he tried to make out what it said. "Uugh, I can't read my own writing.." The half demon groaned, glancing about. How was he supposed to know which house was Pavement's? But he supposed there was no rush, he was already late..
Gabo paused, stopping in front of a manshion-sized house, his jaw dropping. The manor seemed to match the discription that Pave had given him..
The blue haired boy took a deep breath, tucking the paper into his pocket as he approached the house.

Storm laied his head on his father's shoulder, his eyes content at staring at the ground. He heard a few loud thumps against the door as they stood there, it appeared his dad was knocking..
But why? Why where they here?

Pave heard a knocking on the door and immediately became flustered.
"Oh god, they're here." She whispered loudly. She re-adjusted Mos a little and opened the door. Smiling widely, Pave motioned for the pair to enter.

Mos spotted a little bit of pink as soon as the door opened and became excited and jumpy. It was Storm! He leaned forward as far as he could to greet Storm properly, with his arm forward and his hand outstretched.

Gabo laughed at how paniced Pavement looked as she opened the door, and he could tell just by looking at her that she had been running around like a maniac in an attempt to clean up. The half demon understood, in fact, he had done the same thing on occasion.
But hell, she had already impressed him with the side of the house, forget what it looked like inside.
"It nice to see you." Gabo greeted both Mos and Pave as he walked in, setting Storm on his feet infront of Mosreal.

Storm stared for a moment, taking the in sounds and smells of the place. It was..new. But he liked it..
The pinked haired boy's eyes landed on Mosreal's face as he was glancing around, and he greeted the boy as he always did.

"Good to see you too." Replied Pave as she smoothed her hair a bit. She set Mos down to say hello to Storm and proceeded to introduce the family to Gabo. "...Fahrenheit, Ranna, Kib, Ravvit is upstairs...Parnell..." Mos was not listening.

Mos was happy to once again see Storm, his green eyes were gleaming. Storm greeted him and Mos smiled broadly. He fixed his eyes on Storm's little charm, sparkling with fire. Everything about Storm was the same. Mos was relieved to find that Storm was still himself, as Mos had been thinking maybe the pink-haired boy would change.

Storm could feel Mos studying him, as if searching his soul, but he didn't mind. It made the boy happy that Mos was happy, but he didn't know why. What were these things he was feeling? They were all so new to him..Happiness..and maybe a hint of something else he had no name for.
Perhaps Mos was wrong, Storm did change, but maybe it was for the beter. The boy had opened his eyes to the world, and for that, he was grateful..

Gabo followed Pavement around, nodding to all the thing she was showing him. The half demon greeted the rest of her family with smiles, telling them how pleased he was to meet them.
"You have a lovly family, Pave. Take good care of them."

((I have to go, we can continue next time I'm on.
I'm sorry, but I'm really busy. >> *Wishes he could stay.*))
PostPosted: Tue Jul 26, 2005 5:48 pm

((Kay. Bye!))
Mos could see Storm's confusion and thought, and he didn't understand. Storm was not unhappy, Mos could tell, but what was this feeling Mos was getting? Storm could feel it too, Mos knew. He was also confused. Contently confused, just as Storm was. It gave Mos a perk to know that Storm was the same as him, and the third feeling was rising now. He didn't understand, but it was good.

"Oh, thank you, Gabo! They really aren't so lovely in the mornings, but that's really no matter." She laughed a little, more at ease now that Gabo met her family.

Storm smiled slightly as he looked at Mos, but it soon faded. He liked the other boy, and enjoyed being with him. Did he feel the same way? He does.. They were friends now..
Storm made an odd gester, as if to say;"Lets do something". He didn't know why, but he was eger to see more of the place.

"Oh, should I stay while Storm is here, or do you think you can handle him by yourself?" Gabo asked in a friendly manor. "He doesn't have any nightmares, or anything like that, so you should have no problem."
