...would like to think that people are grown up enough to realise people won't all agree on things. Sadly, not always the case.

I seem to have angered some Rose-Ten shippers on another website because I posted that I liked Martha. rolleyes

n.n I was really skeptical about the whole new companion thing because I didn't think Martha could cut it. After all, watching a whole two years with Rose it just seemed sacrilegious for her to leave and get replaced. But I just want to say that after seeing how well Martha was portrayed in the episode I am gobsmacked. She brings such a new energy to the show - different to that of Rose's that it will make Doctor Who really refreshing. <3

I have to admit, that was pretty crap. It was the same as the last 2 seasons first episodes. Rushed, boring aliens, stupid solution. Was there really any point of the Judoon at all? Seriously?

There were some brilliant scenes in the episode. But it wasnt enough =/ i'm hoping it improves again. The first episode always seems to be crap.

See cos Rose was so crap, they had to put in a good companion to make up for it.

Visually quite good but the lines sounded staged and the plot... hmm... Also Martha sounds just like Rose and it is very annoying. There are actually people living outside of London. In fact, there is a whole country full of people all with much more interesting accents!

I do have a soft spot for the Judoon and their marker pens. heart domokun

That comment kind of confused me. I thought you were talking about Judge Dread, the reggae singer credited with the most banned songs of all time. xd

Anyhoo, I thought today's ep was a decent start for the new season. About on par with "Rose", as far as companion introductions go. Martha wasn't as annoying as I feared she might be. I just hope she decides to stick with her "I'm only interested in humans" dating policy. The special effects were good, and I like the design of the Judoon.

The Doctor says he had a brother. I wonder if tthis was a reference to the Master, who was at one point supposedly going to be revealed as the Doctor's sibling way back in the Pertwee era.

And again with his fascination with hospital shops. razz
