Some stuff (If we venture farther out in the era's would have to use the most latest technology we know of and then customized and tweek as seen fit, that will be the most time consuming thing as it requires inventing it than editing it for overall approval. We would also have to simulate to our best abilities the event that follow after the last know point which is i beleive is with Cade Skywalker. we would need to distance our self from that point and figure out what would most likely happen...

So far, as of Cade Skywalker, not much has changed really. A few new star ships, the Sith retake Coruscant, Ossus gets leveled, noone likes the Vong anymore.
In TGE's Legacy RP, we created several new ships for the era, but most of the stuff was canon, like the TIE Predators and the Pellaeon-class Dreadnaught.
Really, with Legacy, it'd come down to filling in the wholes. Coming up with creative, and believably descandants of previos ships. For example, Imperial Star Destroyer Mk. III ---> Nemesis-class Star Destroyer (Legacy RP fanon.)
We would also do the same for similar eras. We figure out what was used around that time, and use those as a model to create versions of other equipment. For instance, bacta didn't come into heavy use until almost the Clone Wars. For years, they always used kolto.
And Armaggedon, I officially accept you as my Apprentice. Rise.
