"Oh so you're starting a pack?" He said happily, casting a sidelong glance over at his newfound friend. "Well, the premises is good. If I can travel as much as I would like, well then I don't see why I couldn't join." He beamed at that thought. Being in a pack sounded awfully nice. "I'm sure you would make a fine leader."
He padded forward slightly, his tail switching to and fro. "Where do you plan on having your lands? Have you already decided?"

Alexander beamed at the compliment. He was glad Caleb thought he would make a good leader. It really wasn’t enough if only he, himself, thought he would. His ears continued twitching in different directions, keeping track of the surrounding area. “Yes, social wanderers are mostly what this pack is made up of. I love other wolves, but I don’t think I could give up my alone time either,” Alexander admitted with a happy glint in his eye.
Replying to the next question, he said, “No, actually, I’m still looking for a good place.” Alexander lowered his front in a large stretch before asking, “Do you know anywhere nice?”

He chuckled at that, his tail free flowing and carefree as he listened to what the other had to say.
"Oh are you? Hmmmm," Caleb said thinking of what he could have seen. Caleb was an avid wonderer, he knew various lands near here or away, and then some. As his mind ticked and ticked it suddenly hit him. "I do know of a place! It was occupied by a family of bears, but they've moved on. Have for many moons now... would you like me to show you?"

Alexander’s spirit lifted even further as the sound of Caleb’s chuckle reached his navy ears. The breeze drifted by, and Alexander chanced a sniff of the air to check things out. He didn’t want anyone stumbling on this conversation now that it dealt with the pack. Who knows what kind of wolves might benefit from this information. Suddenly, Alexander shuddered as a lone thought of his deceased brother and Deimos’ crazed sister passed through his mind. It was a fleeting moment, and soon he was back to being curious about this location.
A family of bears, Caleb had said? That sounded perfect! It must be huge. Alexander’s tail began to wag slowly with the possibilities. “Yes! Please show me!” He answered with no hesitation on his breath.

"With pleasure," was the reply as the lone began to pad off, his maw stretched in an easy going smile.
The old bear den wasn't far from where they were now, and Caleb soon found himself there. There was a lush landscape surrounding it, full of vegetation and trees, which meant plenty of game about. The bear den itself was indeed large, so much in fact that it seemed plenty of wolves could fit inside. It certainly had a hidden utopia feel about it.
"Well here we are," he said happily.

Alexander wagged his tail happily at the view. It was paradise! He let the air waft into his nose, raising his muzzle and taking a big sniff. Ears calmly rested atop his head as his tongue slowly appeared in a wolfish smile. Wonderful.
“This is fantastic!” He told Caleb, turning to the other wolf. “Perfect for the pack.” With that, Alexander promptly turned to the golden male and gave him a few long licks on the nose. Sure, it might have been un-alpha-like behavior, but Alexander had to show his appreciation somehow.
After calming down, he slipped into leader mode and his tail once again curled over his back. Turning to Caleb, he said, “Thank you for sharing this place. I’m going to go scout out exactly where the boundaries will be, but you can now do what you want.” A glint of happiness shone in his bright blue eyes. “You are officially a member of the pack! Just stay nearby because in a few days, once we’re all settled in, I’ll call everyone together for a sort of official meet thing.” Alexander sat down. “So you can get to know everyone and we can all be familiar with each other.”
The blue wolf stood up and walked over to his companion. He nuzzled the other’s neck affectionately before stepping back and saying, “So, until then.” Alexander nodded before turning to go explore the lands.

"With pleasure," Caleb said, so happy that he made the other wolf happy. Others pleasures were his as well, considering how empathetic he was .
As the other continued Caleb nodding to his new leader. "You are most welcome. I'm sure this pack will....well it will be the finest there ever was. And I look forward to it," he added nuzzling him back before he nodded once more and padded off in excitement.
