Willow stared at the marbles mouth agap. Well this was surprising... although LP could do this with a pool cue. "I think we've found you a game Carl." She chuckled and shook her head, "I'm not even bothering for that last one."
She couldn't figureout if she wanted to laugh or try that again. When he pushed the marbles back she did laugh. "Stuipd marbles they must like you." She shurged and took aim, hoping to knock some out anyways. One she'd knocked them out she picked up the marble and waited for carl to go.
[doubt that she'll knock them half of 'em out xD -edit- WTF!? o-0 -cleans up mess-]
Willow's eyebrow lofted. "What the...." She shook her head and shooed the marbles back into their circle. "I'll be a monkeys uncle if that happens again."

Not only did she knock some out, she knocked them all out in ONE shot! He'd gotten close, but he couldn't help but grin at her momentary frustration before completely owning the next game. "I guess they like you now, huh?" A soft chuckle came forth and he watched her replace them all into the circle. "Your turn or mine?"

"Your's. I think they're possesed" She muttered looking to her back pack. "I'm about to go get some holy water and dump on them and see if they stop that." She gave a chuckle to show she was kidding... or was she?

"Yeah, but then they'd be so slipery they might just shoot out of the ring and all over the shop!" A fun thing to imagine, neh? He positioned himself again and rubbed his marble fondly, willing it to net him a good few as he readied it for lbattle and struck it.
Once more, it struck the sweet spot. Several were sent out and gathered, set in a group beside him and tallied up. "Fifteen. You're right - they are possessed."

Willow went to fetch her bottle of holy water and a rag. "Blah good thing I keep holy water with me. Well now I do anyways... helps when one is in a tight spot with certain spirits." She set them aside until the game was done. She might as well see if she can get the remaining few.
Rolling the larger marble she aimed at the smaller ones. Picking up whatever was knocked out.

Carl watched willow fetch the Holy Water, wondering if the marbles really were possessed. It certainly did seem that way, and with Willow always having ghosts around her - one of them might be messing with the game. With only one left, he pushed his back int othe ring and waited for them to be cleansed, hoping they would have a longer game of it this time. "Let the possessor of the marbles be gone?"

Willow laughed. "Those types of sayings never work Carl." She pulled the marbles to her and damped the rag and cleansed the marbles one at a time humming a rather claming tune. She'd had to use the holy water very little but she did know enough to know what did and did not work on spirits as such.
Her tail flickered as she worked and hummed. Dusting up the chalk circle with her tail. "Do me a favor and draw another one will you?" She said puasing her work before going back to it. It wouldn't do to have a tainted circle while having cleansed marbles.

Carl nodded and picked up the chalk, drawing a circle about the same size. A little bigger, or smaller, he wasn't quite sure, but it was the right size for what they intended to do with it, so he was pleased. He admired his work for a moment and then set down the chalk. "There. Now nothing will interfere, right?"

"Well...." she said dragging out the well. "There's always going to be something..." she nodded after this.
Finally all the little buggers were cleansed. She even wiped down inside the circle. Placing the marbles back in she put the holy water back and sat down on the floor again. "You go first?" She asked her head tilted.

"Alright. Here goes nothing." Hopefully NOW the game would be more than two turns. This time he was gentler with flicking it in, still aiming for a fair few but not quite as hard as he had before. However, it seemed the effort was to no avail. The same thing as last time occurred, and he pulled asside the fifteen he'd hit.

Willow blinked. Clearly not happy about this, she shurged and aimed her own marble. Oh well she'd atleast get one.
Letting it go she watched it roll along and strick out the marble. Picking up the marble she had left she counted them it. "Oh well. I kinda wish we had acia here, she could build some sort of something and we could race them It'd be better than having to fight with them wanting to come out of the circle all at once."

Acia? He didn't remember ever meeting that velvet. The game seemed to dislike them for all their attempts to make it cooperate, but regardless, he was still pleased with the general company of Willow. He again flicked his marble, if only stalling for time t othink of something else they could do to entertain themselves. The only other game he knew was a suggestion that simply slipped as he watched the marbles roll on and gather by way of his claw. "Perhaps we could do those one sentance stories?"

Willow looked at him her head tilted with a lofted it brow. "One sentance stories?" She didn't really like making up stories they weren't her thing. "Ehh I don't know. I'm not much of a writer...."
Her tail flickered as she looked at the marbles before shaking her head slightly dissapointed. "Blah Maybe it's just today's not a good day to play marbles." She said with a hint of a chuckle. It was getting sort of boring though. If Willie was here they could go on an adventure. Even if she was an animal the Toad could pull them away from the shop without having to leave it. "Shame Willie isn't here, then we could go on an adventure."

Carl rubbed the back of his head and attempted to look like he knew who she was talking about. Man was he out of the loop! His very role was at stake here, and how many unfortunate Velvets were there who still hadn't been given the pleasure to meet him? Oh...he would have to solve that. "Maybe it isn't, but we should get together more and do stuff with Willie and Acia and the others."
A good enough suggestion...until he realized he had to back it up with something they could actually DO together besides one sentance stories and marbles. There were always the outdoor activities, but did girls, or Willow, even LIKE that sort of thing? She could always be a cheerleader...even if he couldn't actually picture her in one of the brightly colored uniforms. Even then, the animals might find it harder to play some of the games, unless it really was thought out carefully.
He looked at the marbles and then at her, wary of the idea but putting up a good and confident front. Surely the others would appreciate his thoughtfulness. "Perhaps something in the way of a Velveteen Outdoors Day could be arranged? We could invite everyone and get to know each other, play some games, and even go on an adventure?"

Willow lofted his brow. She was wondering if he even knew Willie or Acia. She didn't say anything just smiled and nodded. "Yeah. Just as long as if you guys play foot ball or something, don't expect me to be a cheer leader.... Those skirts are horrible." She shuttered at the thought of anything shorter than her pants, not to mention she disliked all the colors she always seen them wearing. "Push they're too cheery for me. Acia and Trea would be better for that sort of thing."
Her tail flickered, thinking. "And outdoors day sounds fun. If I see iris anytime soon I'll ask her about it. Because easter's coming up and people are normally doing egghunts and things like. Maybe we could do something simiular, and be in groups so that the animals and plushies can play to." She always seen in shows when it was easter that they had egg hunts so why wouldn't they beable to do something like that.
