durrypoo ashlander_alpha J O N 6 6 Iced Earth's Mr. Sandman surprised To hell with that. The whole Tribute to the Gods album kicked major a**. Their covers of Hallowed Be Thy Name and Black Sabbath were even better than the originals, in my opinion. And they actually made AC/DC almost tolerable. eek I have hated every cover version of an Iron Maiden song I have heard. xd But I really love Heavenly's 'When the Rain begins to Fall', it kicks so much butts it's unbelievable. And Angra's 'Painkiller' because of André Mathos, that guy can get me to eargasms. redface I hate MOST Iron Maiden covers..But, Angra's cover of 'The Number of the Beast' off the Live in Sao Paulo DVD, OWNS.

And I'll admit that the Number of the Beast cover was pretty "meh." But, hey, you will agree with me that IE did a better job with Hallowed Be Thy Name than *gags* Cradle of Filth?

Shade in the Shadow I hate MOST Iron Maiden covers..But, Angra's cover of 'The Number of the Beast' off the Live in Sao Paulo DVD, OWNS. Angra just CAN'T do wrong(but I've still got to hear that one cover). 3nodding Also, their cover of 'Wuthering height's' sounds fantastic. I can't believe how underrated they have been.

Solitude Aeturnus' covers of "Hallowed Be Thy Name", "Heaven and Hell" & "Shame on the Night" are good.

Yeah, it's pathetic. >.< Angra is just such an amazingly talented band.

ashlander_alpha [ Jack Frost ] If you listen to some of there earlier songs you can here the hair and Glam Metal influences. Like the song Downfall. (: Maybe they cite them has influences. Lolz That sounds reasonable to me. How else would you explain the presence of a keyboard along with a vocalist like Alexi Laiho? Melodic death metal, my a**. talk2hand Yah, he needs to learn to growl better. Either that or hire someone to do it.

I didn't mind Sonata Arctica's cover of "Die With Your Boots On" or Nightwish's cover of "Over The Hills and Far Away". I hated Singery's cover of "Hallowed Be Thy Name" and Children of Bodom's cover of "Aces High". Few bands can pull off a good Maiden cover, it would seem neutral

Children of Bodom's cover of "Rebel Yell" is really good. That and Sebastian Bach's cover of "Children of The Damned". To me that's probably the best Maiden cover song. But I think my absolute favorite cover song would be Malmsteen and Dio's cover of "Dream On".

THRILL SEEKER scream people don't pay enough attention to Grindcore/Death Metal. Skinless's cover of "Wicked World" is amazing. What album is that on? I like Dimmu Borgir's cover of Burn in Hell also. I like Aborted's cover of Carnal Forge (Carcass) as well.
