Miangel My best friend is a female drummer. She's good, too. 3nodding I'm not a drummer, though - couldn't drum to save my life. ^^;; But yeah, my friend drums; it's really cool. She was the only girl drummer when she went to my school. Now we don't have any. WooT! Me!! Muahaha. Yes. I left your school. And now you have no female drummers. SAD! WHS can spare me. We have four female drummers! smile I have been playing for 7 years and I love it. And I mean LOVE it.

I'm more of a pit gal than a drummer gal, but we have 3 girls in percussion besides me..... 4 out of 19. Sad thing, sad thing.

Despite my avator, I am a female percussionist. At my school all of the bass line is girls, except for one guy. There were 4 girls in the pit recently, and the center snare last year was a girl. But, our band also has several male flutes and clarinets.

I think it's stupid how they stick all the girls in pit and put the guys on drums or timpani or accesories even if they can't play to save their life, because if guys play pit they lose their 'manliness' It really upsets me... At my school, we call timpani confidence-builders. And we call our snare Nick Brown. Don't ask. There are lots of guy clarinets at my school, and they are good, but Nick Brown, he ruins it for everyone, therefore, clarinets are my least favorite instrument!

I also failed to mention in one of my previous posts that our tuba/baritone sections are female dominated as well.

That way the gunk won't come off on his hands, and the acid in his sweat won't eat away at the metal. (We have five tuba players, and they play on happy prettyful silver ones.)

It's like a brace though, it's not a normal glove
