Hey, erm... the bit about the floating things on the first post... you believe me, right?
Weeellll.... thinking about it for a second, the weight of skin required to hold Hydrogen in and survive living stresses requires a huge volume of Hydrogen - so yeah, Greenland-sized sounds about right >.<
Ahh, a clever concept - you Physicists sure are smart.... [/sarcasm]
Actually, if you must know... *drum roll*, hold on to your seats ladys and gentlemen.... I don't give a s**t.
  HERETIC!!! BURN HIM!!!!
That's stupid - everyone know's they're gremlins that live in our computers and blue screen us when we anger them >.<
Well that sounds awefull nice, but... not very cuddly really....:'( *wants a giant teddy-bear-squirrel Alien ^_^*
Why Greenland-sized? I had a balloon once and it was much smaller...
Erm.... aren't there Moons that are smaller than that? XD

LGMs? No. Not likely. However, hydrogen-filled balloons? Well, yes, they'll likely be made of the same five basic elements we are (poo on all you who say that there will be some weird space elements; no, you really can't mess with chemistry). But to be filled entirely with hydrogen is ludicrous. And something the size of Greenland wouldn't be able to support itself, unless its heart was of a mass utterly unobtainable for something that's supposed to be floating. Yes, and open circulatory system is always possible, but again, there's an issue of size. There's a reason why they're always smaller organisms.

And of course, have you forgotten that hydrogen is highly volatile?

there have been a few BBC sponsored docu's brought out the subject and in theses they did work closely with scientists to make them and the probes that supposedly were researching them as scientifically "accurate" as possible - maybe worth watching again 3nodding

some of those creatures - in this case living in a supposed; very high oxygen environment - did have air sacks similar to fishes to "float" and others had jet propulsion similar to squid - as this would be quite a "viscous" atmosphere - nature would aways try to find the most efficient way to enable motion ....

and their size would depend a lot on the type of food the organism would feed on ... as in the right circumstances organisms will grow rather large ... in others they get smaller - depends on the environment !!

Very true, when thinking about other life we must think first about what they would need to survive on their planet. It most likely is far different from our own.

It is very very very unlikely, but space is very big!

Exactly, we can't rule out anything, we're too ignorant of what is out there.
