Licorice nodded, thankful he was not offended or put off by her brainless action, and she blushed in return at his lick. She tasted like cherry Twizzlers. "Yes, it was," she replied with a nod. "That's usually how it ends up for me." She looked down at the fish with embarrassment. She was terrible at it, but it was something fun to do, and she never actually expected to catch them. "I like chasing the chocolate bunnies too!" Those were a lot easier to catch though not quite as fun as just swimming in the river.

Kieran absentmindedly licked his lips, smiling to himself. Not a bad taste at all.
Shaking thoughts like that from his head, he smiled brighter at her chocolate bunny comment. "So you know of a lot of fun things to do around here..." He chuckled. "I'm jealous." Standing up slowly, he looked over at her. "Want to go do that? We might have better luck catching one of them." Not that he would do anything once he caught one. It was just a thought, since Licorice had started to look uncomfortable.

Licorice nodded and stood up again, shaking the remainder of the soda from her fur. "Sure!" she chirped happily. "I know a good place with lots of bunnies." She did not feel like eating one right now, but chasing them was fun anyway. She started away, bouncing over a rock and pressing her wings against her back. For some reason, she never used them though Kieran could not know that it was because she, quite frankly, stunk at flying.

"Oh really? Awesome! If you'd be so kind as to lead the way." He bowed to Licorice as if she was a princess. And then, as if he could read her mind (well, sorta~) he smiled at her. "You have pretty wings. Again, I'm jealous." He peered over his shoulder. "Unlike you, and probably any other numa ever...I dont have wings. I mean, even the boys have them.." he smiled ruefully.

Licorice blushed yet again at his compliment though she did not seem as enthusiastic about it this time. "They're not good for much..." she admitted as she walked. "I'm terrible at flying. Frankly, I wish I didn't have them." She could glide okay, but flying? No way. Landing? Even worse. It was always a disaster. "But you've got bigger horns than I do!" she chirped. She liked the males' horns, how big and curved they were, and wished she could trade her wings for horns like that. She wished she could trade wings with her beloved friend Beatrice since her wings did not work at all.

"But my horns are usless, Licorice." He chuckled, walking alongside her. "At least with practice, you could learn how to fly well. You have a choice like that, while I've got nothing. I can kinda swim, but yeah." He smiled at her. "I'd be happy to have what you have, but I would be even happier to see you fly."

Licorice did not look enthusiastic at all at that statement, looking down at the ground as she walked. "I'm really bad at it...I can glide, but I can't really fly or land. At least your horns are handsome! And they're such a bright, pretty color..." Licorice flicked a pebble into the brush and perked her ears up when she thought she saw something brown bounce away.

Kieran stopped walking for a second, and hoped she would stop too. Turning to face her completely, he made eye contact with large, earnest eyes. "I want you to know that, with practice, I'm sure you could fly beautifully. I know you have it in you, and I believe in you." He smiled softly and caressed her cheek with a careful paw. "You would make me very happy if you learned how. Since I can't fly, I want to see someone close to me show me they can." He explained, smiling brightly and moving to walk again. Hopefully she understood what he said, and how serious he was. It would really be nice if she could. Kieran wished even more that he could teach her, but having no wings of his own....that was practically impossible.

Licorice stumbled to a halt, surprised at Kieran's insistance, and she felt herself melt a little under his gaze and his gentle paw. Her ears drooped to stick out either side of her head as she blinked stupidly at him with her deep blue eyes, her voice forgotten for a moment.
"O-Okay..." Licorice stammered, giving him a weak smile. "I-I'll try for you..." She wondered if he wanted to watch her now or if she would have time to practice first - either way, if it was for him, she'd definitely do her best.

"I'm glad to hear it." He grinned brighter than he had before. "Oh! But, Licorice, you can practice as much as you want. Take your time, alright? It would probably be way nerve-wracking to do it right now." He chuckled, his tail swishing.

"O-Okay..." she stammered again, fidgetting her paws both in embarrassment and nervousness and not quite looking at him for fear she might start blushing uncontrollably and lose her voice again. It was strange the effect he had on her, but she could not say she did not enjoy it immensely, and she was having to greatly resist the urge to nuzzle him like a cat, thinking it would be very rude to take such a liberty.
Desperate for a distraction now lest she lose her self-control, Licorice perked her ears up and suddenly bolted into the bushes, exclaiming, "Bunny!"

Kieran just watched her silently, enthralled just by her shifts, blushing and mumbles. She was a very interesting numa, and he was glad to be her friend. He had always get so bored with people quickly, but what was different about Licorice was that she could keep his attention longer than anyone he knew. Well, maybe except for Nalikai, but that was a different story.
"Oh!" He gasped as she dashed past him and practically tackled a bush. "Did you get it?" He stopped walking and just waited, wondering if she had succeeded or not in her persuit of the small animal.

Licorice poked her head back up out of the bush at his question and mumbled around a mouthful of bright green leaves, "Nu." She spat them out and shook twigs and dirt out of her fur before peering around for the escaped bunny. She really did not care if she caught it or not - she had fun just chasing them; however, this one had just embarrassed her in front of her new friend, and it was going to pay! Catching a little movement a few bushes away, Licorice crouched down with her rump in the air, shook it a little to ready herself, then leapt at the movement, her jump a little more calculated this time. "Gotcha!" she cried happily with the bunny under her.

"Awww, you were close though, I'm sure." He smiled reassuringly, thinking she was going to give up. But Licorice always seemed to have a surprise about her. She was one to twist around what Kieran had through she was going to do. But he liked that. It kept him on his toes.
Sitting down where he was again, the blue numa tried to stay out of her way. He couldn't help but giggle a little when she assumed a crouching pose, sticking her butt in the air. She reminded him of a young numa, not the shy elder one she was. "Yay! You got it!" He annouced triumphantly, hopping a little closer and smiling as brightly as he could for her. "I knew you could."

Licorice blushed at his praise and held up the bunny to him, once again timid now that her distraction was gone. "F-F-For you...!" she stuttered in an attempt to say she was giving it to him, her tail trembling nervously. What if he rejected it? What if he...what if he didn't like chocolate?!
