"But not many are out to help you should you need it." She nodded, her own smile bright before she added, "Except me, now. I'd like to come sit outside too, if that's okay." She wanted to visit Mufasa, eternally grateful that Lio had shown her the constellation and named it for her grandfather.

Lio smiled at her, nodding happily. "I'd like that a lot. We could come out every night and talk and make up stories togeher!" He said with a big grin, his orange eyes returning to the sky above. Mufasa smiled down at the two cubs with a starry smile.

She nodded in earnest, turning her head to smile at the young cub, "I bet you make up good stories, Lio. Have you found any other constellations?" It would give her something to keep her mind on during the day. An excellant distraction, making up stories to tell to Lio that night and then build on together. It felt good to have a friend who had the intention of seeing her again.

Lio nodded happily at her. "I make up stories a lot for them." He scanned the sky for an interesting one, then pointed to a cluster of stars shaped like a large tree. "That one I call The Tree of Life. When someone is born, one of the stars goes out, giving them life. But when someone dies, a star is reborn, and will eventually give a new soul life once more. It's like we're all connected." He smiled over at her, wondering if she liked his story.

Her eyes followed his indication toward the large tree shape outlined in the sky with stars. She knew it would be awhile before she could find some on her own, though she would remember the ones he showed her forever. Mufasa, and the Tree of Life. She smiled, "I like that. We're all connected, so it's okay if someone goes because we'll see them again." She nodded slowly, she liked that indeed. She pointed toward another cluster that looked promising for a story, "What about that one?"

Lio smiled brightly. He had never shared his stories with anyone before, and he was very happy indeed that she liked them. He followed her gaze to another cluster, and he grinned broadly. "That's Pepo'Mbaya, Evil Spirit. Not all constellations are good." He looked back over to her as he spoke, "He was a huge snake that towered over everything. He could destroy mountains with ease, slithering over them and leaving big ditches in his wake. All the ditches and ledges in the world were created by him, and the Gods began to wonder why he was doing it. Then he called on his evil spirit friends and they all used the ditches as pathways to travel from one place to another. They began destroying and killing everything, and the Gods finally banned Pepo'Mbaya to the stars, to live forever and watch the world be reborn and flourish."

Her scarlet eyes widened, staring at Lio as he spoke before her eyes darted up to Pepo'Mbaya in the sky. The story sent a delightful shudder down her spine as the cub gave a nervous giggle, "That's good, Lio. He's scary, but I like that one too." Her nervous laughter subsided as she looked at him, her smile no longer anything but content to be staring at the stars on a night when sleep evaded her and another little cub happened to be ready for some company. "He won't ever get down though, right?" It was a silly cub question, but it was late, she was tiring, and it felt as if the shadows in her mind were growing long as they ached for sleep. It wasn't long before she'd have to leave.

Lio smiled at her and gave a little wink. "The Gods won't ever let him come down again." He said with a final nod. He was so happy that she enjoyed his stories! He'd never made a friend so fast before.

His own mind tugged at him for sleep, but he tried to push the tiredness away, though it didn't work very well. "We should meet again tomorrow night. You can help me think up more stories." He said with another big smile, followed by a big yawn.

His yawn prompted one of her own, though she stubbornly tried to hold it back as most young ones do. It was futile to deny sleepiness in the presence of another sleepy cub, however, and Safuma eventually let the yawn go without resistance. "I'm glad he won't come down again, Lio. That would be scary."

It was a childish observation, a side that Safuma didn't often get to show people right off the bat, but Lio made her feel comfortable enough with her cub side that she let her youth drive her. When he spoke, she nodded and pulled herself to her feet to leave the boulder, "Yeah, I'll come tomorrow night. Right here?"

Lio nodded happily at her, another yawn escaping his own maw again. "Sure! I'll be here." He said with a tired smile.

With a small leap he jumped off the rock and looked up at her with a grin. "Until then, fair lady." He said with a wave of his paw, almost like a bow. He giggled happily and trotted off towards his slumbering family, eager to join them in sleep. And perhaps dream up some new stories.

She smiled broadly at him, trusting that he would be there and there would be someone to tire her out before bedtime. Her scarlet eyes creased in another yawn as she watched him leap off the rock, giggling at the formality before bobbing her head in a light mock of a curtsy. "G'nite, Lio."

Leaping off the rock herself, she went toward her den at the top of pride rock at a slow trot. Her tail swishing slowly as she sleepily regarded the stars. It was a good night.
